Do u choose actors/actresses whenever u watch tvb series?

I used to watch all the series without even thinking who's in it. I'll juz go for the plot and the actors juz come in then. It's always the storyline which makes them more appealing to me. However, i'd noticed that ever since year 2003 onwards, i will tend to choose actors 1st no matter how good the show is. If TVB series showing them as one of the leading actor/actress and there's no other better ones i like in the show, i'll choose not to watch. I'll not watch if the series are played by:-

Myolie Wu
Shirley Yeung
Joe Ma
Godron Lam

Grrrr... They're just so annoying!

I'll only watch if the series had the below actors/actresses

Yes, i will watch all Jessica Hsuan series without even thinking about what its about... there are other actors and actress that are like that like Ada Choi.

I will see a series even it has someone on my Dislike list...as long as it has some i like to counteract. i like to give people a chance... but usually i dislike them even more..

i will only watch the serie if it has actors/actresses i noe in it only. i dont care if i like or dont like the actor/actress as long as it looks good ill watch it

Offcourse, this is a given. Everyone wants to watch their Idols, and if you there is someone you don't like, why waste precious time and money...

yes... but not lately... usually the old actor and actress... the new actor and actress don't stay long enough to make more then a few series before they leave TVB

I can watch any series as long as it interests me..
But, I'm kinda picky bout their haircuts.. like, I don't like to watch the actresses if their haircuts is in the 70s era.. even if it is my favourite actress.

I mainly watch series for the characters, a poor plot can be saved when good actors/actresses are in it. But on the other hand, a good plot can easily be killed by trash acting.

I'm not too picky on who I look out for, but theres certain people that pair up with others that can easily produce ugly chemistry.

I thought "Hidden Treasures" was pretty of in the casting, although the cast was pretty decent, the roles were given to the wrong peple, the series really didnt shine.

yes i do. of course ppl will avoid watching dramas with actor/actress that they do not like, but sometimes it is unavoidable (meaning: he / she appears in a drama with ur fave actor/actress)...... sheesh.... annoying... but nothing can be done

My sister and I rent all the series that comes out. (pretty freakish) I just choose to watch it or not after the first tape. If the actors and actresses suck, I quit watching it even if the plot is good.

yep having actors/actresses that you like helps in choosing a series.

However, I watched War of In-laws not really liking any of the actors but it turned out to be awesome. Fave series of 2005

the story ling also helps as well, like Yummy Yummy is about food, etc

I used to rent every single TVB series when I was a kid (because my parents paid for them hahaha). Now I only have time to rent/buy any series with Adam Cheng in it. I'm not really picky about the script as long as the actor/actress is my favorite.

i don't usually choose because my dream is actually to watch every single tvb series out there but in cases where i don't know a single cast or i hate the actors/actresses that much, or the story just don't appeal to me, i tend to skip those series

basically, i choose actors and actresses whom i particularly hate and decide that i'll skip a series for good. so im kinda opposite of you guys. if you look out for your favorites to watch a series, i look out those that i hate and skip the series. that's why i tend to watch more than to skip more

Oh! definetly, cas TVB series are so expensive to rent. So I don't want to waste my money on people who are going to annoy the heck out of me. Usually I don't care which actor is in it, but I'm very picky with my actresses. I will rent anything with Jessica Hsuan, Flora chan and Michelle Ye no matter what the storyline(except now those last two are not with TVB anymore), will consider series with Kenix, Ada, Annie Man, and Tavia depending on storyline. Will try to do all possible to avoid Charmaine and Sonija unless they're with my three favs.
