I've to agree with you it was indeed a tear jerker. But the things I find the series
    1. the brother/sister relationship (even though they not related later on), just want to make me head for the hill
    2. the whole thing...what is the word that I looking for...manufactured or manipulted our sympathies for the three leading characters: the nice, oh-so beautiful girl got leukemia, the nice pining first lover, and the forever waiting third wheel

But the series got two things going for them (to me at least)
    1. beautiful leads (SSH and of course the hunk of the month WB)
    2. beautiful scenery

It is a treat for the eyes, literally. To some, they would cry after watching this series. Others would laugh, which would be me. But it is entertainment! So take it with a pinch of salt

I just finish this series and I love this series. I especially feel so bad for Won Bin. I love the way he keep on trying and did not give up hope on her. Only if she would give him a chance

I totally adore this movie. I love main actor and actress for I could feel their love for each other. It's so powerful and they have the kind of undestanding toward each other that no one or time can make a different. I think Won Bin is so cute but he kinda exagerated. I like HHS better.

    Default endless love

am re-watching this for the second time round .. hmm..i guess that SSH felt he was to blame for the "mix-up / switchover of the babies" and if his "sister" didnt have that bike accident...the truth wont of have been known to be so cruel

anyway.. what i dont understand as i believe there's some flaws in the film..as to why newborn babies dont wear id bracelets on themselves rather than just have a name badge on their cots @ birth.. plus you would of thought there be more nurses manning the baby unit if a fellow nurse was absent..

now i believe there been some cases in real life about babies been "switched over"... i dont get it...as there must be measures done to prevent this from happening)
back to endless love, i like the way Won bin (although i felt so sorry for him losing out to SHK) made that switch from being a "womaniser" to being a true friend to SHK (although their romance was short lived) during times of her illness.. where support was needed the most.

i dont think it was a case of incest as after all SSH and SHK were not blood related.. and i think this is a great series (very sad i know) for my first insight into k-tv series

    Default endlesss love

ok .. up to chapter 2 where they have just become adults.. the child artistes did a very good job protraying the roles
I shed so much tears 2nd time round especially in the early years.
am also starting to look at this series from the perspective from a mothers' view..the love bond between mum and daughter is bound to be strong. Ok SHK's younger self spent the good 10years or so in this " loving family" and the love bond is strong especially betweeen mum and daughter. I truly understood this when SHK's younger self went back to live with her natural mother yet also missed her "supposed" mother.. AS they say, as there is a saying.. "a adoptive mother cannot simply be compared to that of a natural mother" as in "bonding/ closeness".. It was nice and warm to see that both SHK's natural mum and "supposedly mother" was there for SHK through her illness.
SSH isnt blood related to his supposedly sister and although he knows this, i think no-one understood his "supposedly sister" more than him due to spending roughly the first 10years or so living as a family with her..so that why they start a relationship.. my thoughts anyway.

Now that you mention it...I'm not sure what her actual "job" is? Was she the phone operator or a chambermaid...

I know exactly what you mean teddybear. The part where the young SHK ran out to meet her first mother (the one she wasn't related to) was a real tear-jerker... and then her decision to return to her natural mother's side was another heart-wrencher. I do not onlky feel both the mother's pain but also the young SHK's courage and sadness for what she has done.
I know that if I were in her position, I would be so unable to decide that I would probably just want to break down and cry right there. I think that was the most I cried during Endless Love. Just the daughter-mother bond was portrayed too well.
The second time I cried as much was when she saw her 'brother' for the first time in years on the beach and ran out to hug him.

Endless Love was the last drama tat made me cried so hard n when i went to school the next day, all my friends was asking wad had happened?! Even my guy friends can't stand the show but have to switch them off in case they cry...hahaha!

The other drama tat made me cried would be the Japanese drama 'Heaven's Coin Finale' That too made me cried real hard, my eyes were swollen and it felt like dropping out any moment.

i jus finished this drama of 16 eps ... not the movie version ... thruout the whole show i was depressed ... but the ending didnt hit me as hard ... maybe cuz every1s watched this drama b4 and tells me that there is a very sad ending ... so i guess i was prepared ... i watched this drama right after watching FULL HOUSE ... and i jus havta say WOW ... the transition of having a HAPPY and CHEERFUL SHK (JI-EUN) and then watching a sad but strong SHK (EUN-SUH) was pretty crazi ... i feel as if they were different actors ... major props 2 shk ... overall ... this was a pretty good drama ... won bins character was pretty touching ... makes me wish i could b as strong as him lol

yes..i agree with you.. ,,i feel won bin changed alot since he started liking enxi.he becomes more serious with his work and not laze around.. this drama really makes ppl cry from beginning till the end... ..u need to prepare a bucket...-->joking. hehe..this series portrays jun xi and enxi"s "fake brother-sister" relationship well..its goes to show that with ur heart set in anything, u can achieve it. ..even though they die together in the end..but both are happy that they can be with eaach other.

enxi was actually those phone operator...but ever since won bin came into the hotel to stay, he is "curious" to know who is the "cui auntie"..then when he finds out that cui auntie is enxi, he is attracted to her. then when his uncle or i m not sure who..ask him to work, won bin works with a condition that enxi must be his personal chambermaid ...so ..internal arrangements was made that enxi will switch from an operator to a chambermaid. ..thus..thats how enx becomes the chambermaid..
