i have mentioned 玉弓 = verdant bow, however, a more exact translation of 玉弓would be 'emerald bow' (玉 = emerald, 弓 = bow, ie. a bow made of emerald)Originally Posted by cherrie
Verdant is derived from the word verdure which means 'greenery', which i assume is implying the green colour of emerald from which the bow is made of.
As an aside, did u notice that the 'verdant bow' (or emerald bow) appears ironically only once in the series? It bears far more significance, of course, in the novel.
