Oops, I read the schedule wrong. Pierce against Dementieva was the first women's semifinals match and Sharapova vs. Clijsters will be later today. Anyway, the result of the first match-up is in: Pierce beat Dementieva in 3 sets.

Clijsters beat Sharapova, so the final will be Mary Pierce against Kim Clijsters.

Ya, sad for Sharapova. Although I wanted Pierce to win, but had pity for Dementiva also.
I would prefer to see Dementieva vs Pierce for the Final. or Pierce vs Sharapova, or Dementieva vs Sharapova.

So now. I hope Pierce will win

Hmm, I managed to catch this match aswel. Agassi played well, but I pretty much doubt he will win in the finals. Federer will win, I'm pretty sure of that.

Well, at his age and considering the injuries that have plagued him, I think it's a pretty big accomplishment just to make it to the finals. I hope he can win it all, but even if he doesn't, it'll still have been a very memorable US Open.

This is off topic, but Andre's kids are sooooo cute.

Haha, I've noticed the kids aswel, well it's hard not to notice them since they're shown on camera alot. The girl is indeed really cute.

Yeah, I would think this is Agassi's last tournament or so, but he's still playing really well for his age! The new american guy Agassi played against looks very promising, maybe he will be the next player after Agassi.

That's how I look at it, although not in those exact words.

    Federer beat Hewitt!

Clijsters beat Pierce in a not-so-exciting women's final.

I thought the women's final is today. So I didn't wait for that.
I think Pierce was injured while playing with Dementieva. Was she??

    Hewitt's a pompous jerk.

Hewitt did get married this past summer, but not to Clijsters. He and his wife are now expecting a baby.

Ohh, it's a question that I wanted to ask. Did Hewitt and Clijsters break up?? Coz I didn't see Clijsters supporting him from the audience like before.
So, I got the answer now.

Why should she support a creep like Hewitt?

Kim Clijsters deserves so much better than a man who keeps losing to Federer - it's disgraceful.

Federer beat Agassi, but Andre put up a good fight (especially in the 3rd set). Congrats to Federer, the US Open champ once again.

Yeah, Agassi did extremely well up till the last set. He totally lost it when he lost the tie break, I could see a different story to the game if Agassi won the 3rd set, but amazing peformance by Federer, excellent match.
