tvb series - Er, they showed them on tv when I was young, but I cant remember the names.

China series - I watch part of chinese series since I was young, but I never ever watched the entire series, until I watched Xiao ao jiang hu with Li ya Peng.

Korean series - I dont watch korean series

Taiwan series - Xin Yue Ge Ge or Qing Qing He Bian Cao or probably even earlier than that. These are the ones I actually remembered.

ATV Series - From when I can only differentiate whether they are tvb or atv, it will be my date with a vampire.

Japanese series - Under the same roof I believe.

Singapore - From my earlier memory, I can only remember the alien show with lin xiu huan, but I probably watched them when I was even younger.

Actually The New Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre by Taiwan was made in 1994(if you are referring to Steve Ma's version). There was another one made by Taiwan in the 80s, but one of my friends like that version the most.

Ok back on topic.... Hm.. I don't remember what my first series I was. I think for TVB:-DGSD-82
China: Hm... don't remember... I think it was either jouney to the west or some other old production.
Korean-Endless love(I usually don't watch Korean series but this was shown on TV)
Taiwan-Hm.. don't remember.. I think it was CLH 85 with Adam and Mai Suet.

The most that I can recall would be my money's-no-longer-a-problem favourite, Singapore's <<Gao Xiao Xing Dong>>, followed by <<My Date With a Vampire>>...

***Sad memory laziness problem, but I've learnt to live with it. Either that or the shows are too plain and inconspicuous...

I'm putting a twist onto the original topic, how about the first series you saw these popular actors/actresses in? You can always add more people, but I'm just going to name some random people...and also comment on their improvement or lack of improvements if you want =) Yeah I knwo this is a veryvery long exercise, but I'm trying to procastinate from doing homework lol.

I'm just going to use the winglin list first:

Adam Cheng ~ very long time ago..hmm I think Cold Blood Warm Heart ~ I didn't see too many improvements over the years as he was already "good" and experienced by the time I saw him.

Alan Luo ~ Dou Yu II ~ only time I saw him

Andy Lau ~ well I've always know about him, but in TV/movies, probably some HK movie I can't really remember, I think it probably has to do w/ gambling. Honestly speaking, I'm not that impressed by his acting that much, haven't see that much improvement.

Benny Chan ~ this one's hard too, can't remember but I think DGSD ~ I think he's improved somewhat, though he fits only the more comical roles.

Bobby Au-Yeung ~ hmm, some ancient show to do w/ cooking ~ same deal, he's a better comical actor and not too much improvement.

Chilam Cheung ~ Cold Blood Warm Heart, he defintiely improved over the years especially for his role in Return of the Cuckoo.

Chin Ka Lok~ he's always acting as the supporting role so I have no idea..

Dicky Cheung~ Return to the West ~ comical, and not too much improvements though he's good at what he does.

Edison Chen~ I've always heard of him and stuff, but first movie was probably Infernal Affairs--not impressed at all. I heard he's improved though, but not interested enough to check anything out just for him.

Ellesmere Choy~ I think he's defintiely improved a bit, though I don't remember most of these supporting actors.

    Felix Wong~ DGSD ~ consistent

Frankie Lam~ Down Memory Lane, haven't seen him since

Gallen Lo~ Cold Blood Warm Heart ~ I don't know but I think his acting got worse in Threshold of an Era, but to be fair, he probably improved in general

    Hacken Lee ~ Street Fighters

    Hawick Lau~ Kindred Spirit

Joe Ma~ At the Threshold of an Era

Jordan Chan ~ Duke of Mount Deer

Kwong Wa~ don't remember, I think some cooking show

Louis Koo~ War and Remembrance, he's definitely improved lot since then!

Marco Ngai~ Armed Reaction, or probably before

Michael Tong~ Return of the Cuckoo

    Michael Tse~ Kindred Spirit

    Moses Chan~ Healing Hands

    Nicholas Tse~ Tiramisu

    Nick CheungSecret of the Heart

Nicky Wu~ Threshold of an Era\

Raymond Lam~ cooking show w/ Flora Chan

    Richie Ren~ LOCH

Roger Kwok~ Threshold of an Era

    Shawn Yue~ Infernal Affairs

    Stephen Chow~ Kungfu Soccer

    Steven Ma~ Healing Hands

    Sunny Chan~ Kindred Spirit

Takeshi Kaneshiro~ some movie w/ Kelly Chan

    Wong He~ some cop show

    ACTRESSES

    Alice Chan~ dream of desire

    Angie Cheung~ Kindred Spirit

    Annie Man~ Legendary Aces

Athena Chu~ Cang Tian You Lei ~ Tears of Heaven

    Bernice Liu~ Virtues of Harmony

Bondy Chiu~ On the Track or Off

    Carman Lee~ DGSD

    Cecilia Cheung~ Para Para

Charmaine Sheh~ Time Off --I still don't like her acting, but she's definitely improved

    Christy Chung~ a movie w/ Nick Cheung

    Dodo Cheng~ New Shanghai Beach/Bund

    Eileen Yeow~ DIF

Esther Kwan~ don't remember too long ago, Lady Fai?

Flora Chan~ Threshold of an Era

    Gigi Lai~ HSDS

Jade Leung~ kungfu show, First in Beijing

    Joey Yung~ Green Hope

    Joyce Tang~ Armed Reaction

Karen Mok~ Chinese version of Charlie's Angels~ forgot what it's called

    Kathy Chow~ Ghost Story show

    Kelly Chen~ movie w/ Takeshi

    Kenix Kwok~ Down Memory Lane

    Kingdom Yuen ~ Kindred Spirit

Kristy Yeung~ Da Zui Xia ~ DRunken Hero

    Louisa So~ Kindred Spirit

Maggie Siu~ Threshold of an Era

    Wow this is hard...
I know I watched Huan Zhu Ge Ge a long time ago ... but I can't remember if I watched ROCH 83 before that or not. I'm almost certain ROCH 83 is my first series though. There's also this one series that I can't remember the name too... that might have come before everything else... :/
