it's actually adapted from this popular comic series. there was a movie version starring ekin cheng, nicholas tse, kristy yang and shu qi before. i saw it a coupld of times but the storyline's rather bland. the characters in this series arent that outstanding either. if i really get it, it'll be because of ady an but i heard her character's not that great in here as well. am still contemplating whether to get this series or not since with the exception of ady and blue, i dont really like the other cast, especially peter ho, who is so blah...what if it turns out to be another series like wind and cloud?

oh..they're remaking "blood sword"?
the old tv adaptation in the early 90s were pretty good..too bad they never really made the 1st part of the story...hopefully they will start the story from the beginning when he is forced to leave china...and not begin the story midway....

I only watched the first 2 discs 2day and it was alright... quite fast-paced... Hua Ying Xiong(Peter) forced to leave china, works in a mine and meets his master Jin Ao all within one disc... story's not bad... but i didn't really see any special effects in there... or maybe it's just the beginning...
i just skim thru the first 26 episodes...so far it seems pretty good...pretty fast paced at the beginning but it seems like it kinda slow down once they reached america...
one thing I noticed and am disappointed with is that his sword does not stay red all the time and that ghost servant have both of his hands...in the comics he's suppose to not have any hands...and he was like one of the kewlest characters because he fought with just his hair and feet....
peter ho seems to be doing a better job at his role in this one than in previous series i've seen with him.

watched till episode15 for now. the story etc is okay and the fighting's quite good. despite his average acting, i still cant like peter ho, they should have dubbed his voice since his chinese pronouncation is terrible, he is much too westernized for the role imo, same for his past series like qwlsm, i dunno he just doesnt fit costume roles. his bulit is also somewhat too bulky (ying xiong imo would be cooler with a sleek and agile built). one more thing which got onto my nerves were the costumes which was absolutely horrible and outta place. my gosh, peter looked like some cowboy cum chinese warrior gone mad with his hip hop hat, ady's hair looked so messy and qin lan's hair and dressing was just painful to the eyes. i thought gui pu (shadow) was the coolest character and i liked his romance with that prostitute, they're so funny.

Just finished the whole series. It was pretty good. Kind of draggy in the middle. Petter looks bad with the hat on but then when he changed his costume into the long jacket and showing his long hair, he started to look very handsome. I found the japenese girl is so sad with her love life but I like the happy ending since she went through such a sacrificing for her love one. Peter's wife in here she has that incredible innocent pretty face but then when she acted Peter's daughter after 18 years, she looks real cool and different pretty look totally. I think she did a very good job on acting 2 different characters but not over acting. I thought the ending is pretty good ended this way. I like the part that the ghost servant with the prostitute is so funny. But kind of dissapointed that he supposed to be famous with chinese kung fu studio after 18 years instead of the chinese restaurants isn't it? The bad guy, Chan Kwan Lin he is really handsome and he really can act. I seen him in Wind & Cloud 2, he was the bad guy too. Overall I think Peter doing a good job and so does everyone.
Anyone know if this is coming out in Cantonese?
I've seen the older HK version of this series starring He Jia Jing (Zhan Zhao in Judge Bao). I remember liking it. But I don't know if this new version is better.

Can someone post the pictures for the series?
