Sorry if this is off topic, but what is the huge hype about Kim Sam Soon? I bought it and watched 2 episodes...NOT IMPRESSED. So illogical and unlikely....does it get any better? I feel like dropping it.

i felt the same way.. i didn't find it really funny... it was ok...quess my taste is different than others...

*it was the very best among the season series..
winter sonata - 7
*it has the same plot among the other dramas, which is MEMORY LOSS
stairway to heaven - 10
*my most favorite. though it shares similarities among other dramas, the way it was presented and acted is quite different
my girl - 9
*it's funny, every episode of it makes me laugh

for hotelier, i haven't still watched it.

There are lots of illogical things going on in Korean dramas (or may be Asian dramas) but this series turned me off for many reasons...chiefly the sourfaced main actor and actress, the quarrelling your way to each others heart did'nt succeed in this drama for me. My fav so far is Which star are you from. It's not glamorous like Goong (which I really liked, despite being illogical and rather draggy at the end) but Kim rae Won ang Jung are so cute, and she played a country bumpkin type. I heard Love truly ( a Eugene drama) also has a country bumpkin character, watched it a bit and did'nt like it.

Just give it a chance and continue and you will not regret it..it's a very clever show.

Everyone should try watching "Thank You"! It's not the most glamorous drama (the setting is a rural island) but it'll warm your heart and make you cry and laugh and just love the main characters.

I agree with Yearning. I also bought Kim Sam Soon last year. I kept forwarding the show and didn't manage to finish watching it. I found the show very boring and not that funny at all (apologies to those who love the show).

- I'm Still Loving You (old drama but it's the 1st Korean drama I like)
