The Taiwanese series Legend of White Snake is one of the best fantasy series. You should buy the DVDs from yesasia.com. 50 episodes plus soundtrack.

You can read a review and summary of it in the Spcnet reviews. I thought Angie's version was ok, but could have been a lot better. I think Angie was great as Bai She though. She did NOT become famous because of that role. She was already famous back in the 70s already. I think her most popular role is the role of Ching Ching from the Bund...I personally got really bothered by the Cecilia playing a guys role. Goodness, I got goosebumps from those scenes with her and Angie... Couldn't they get a guy to play that role???
