If you really are into the good relationship b/t Liu Che and Wei Zi Fu, then I think you'll be disappointed with their relationship in the third part. The third part will involve the troubles b/t the Crown Prince (Wei Zi Fu's son) and Liu Che.

I don't know how much of Han Wu Di's history you know, but according to the history, in his later years Liu Che became very superstitious and had a big misunderstanding with his Crown Prince (caused by Jiang Chong). That guy used the Daoist monk to convince Liu Che that there are people using the black magic (the dolls) to cast spells on him. Liu Che believed in it completely and ordered Jiang Chong to investigate. As a result, many people in the capital city got entangled in the matter and killed (more than 10000 people). Jiang Chong's main target was the Crown Prince, so in the end he claimed that it was the Crown Prince's palace that buried the most amount of dolls. After Liu Che heard the report, he ordered the Prime Minister to arrest the Crown Prince. The Crown Prince resisted and they had a battle right in the middle of the capital city. In the end, the Crown Prince loose and he suicided. Two other daughters of Wei Zi Fu, and Wei Qing's first son also died because of this matter. At this time, Wei Qing already died of old age for quite some time. After Wei Zi Fu heard the news of her son's death, she also suicided. The after math of this matter caused Liu Che to go into deep reflection of his past actions. He secretly reinvestigate the matter and discovered the truth. He severely punished those involved in the harming of the Crown Prince, published the first ever "Self Confession Decree" and apologized to the people. He also builted an altar in memory of his son in the palace.

Liu Che's grandson Liu Bingyi (Xuandi) took over after his youngest son Zhaodi (Liu Fuling) died.

For me, Da Han 1 was definitely worth watching. and then there are also others that like Da han 2.

I've just finished viewing Da Han III today. Wonder if anyone else seen it? If yes, how do you think about this last part of the trilogy? To me, the story it self is not as good as I & II. The castings were also not as good as the first two. There were dull, boring, and annoying parts (the first 2 parts did not have any), but it's still a good show nonetheless. Jiao Zhu pulled an excellent job as the moody and full of suspisions emperor in here. He was perfect. Jiao Zhu once said that it was mentally tiresome filming this series and I understood what he meant more now that I personally able to see his performance with my own eyes.

So, my rating of the the whole trilogy is: #1. Da Han II, #2. Da Han I, and #3. Da Han III.

You know what, I was looking forward to seeing the scene where Han Wu Di was suppose to go farming (I posted 2 of that photos earlier in this thread) but unfortunately it was edited out. I had been very curious to see eversince reading about it. What a waste. It would have been really nice to see Jiao Zhu farming.

Only Qiu Chan is still in, Li Ling is gone. Qiu Chan at this moment was already about 40 something years old. At the end of part II, Li Ling left her his son Li Han. She herself also had a daughter, Huo Qi Lian, with Huo Qu Bing so she raised them together as brother and sister. In this third part, both of them already grown up. She originally wanted to marry Huo Qi Lian to Li Han but she refused. Li Han also say that she's just like a little sister to him. In the end, she ended up marrying Liu Ju, the Crown Prince, and had a son with him.

Yes, YesAsia already had it. Here's the link to it. They only has it available to global orders though. They only had it for a very short time for North America region. Luckily I knew YesAsia well enough to immediately ordered it once I saw it there, otherwise I would be screaming on the top of my lung now. So you can order it if you want since you're outside of North America.

No, I've not seen Ping Zhong Xia Ying Lu, and I'm not planning to see it either. Because Jiao Zhu appears too little in the show. I don't think I have the patient to sit through 40 episodes long series for just few Jiao Zhu's minutes. I wish I could just rent those episodes with Jiao Zhu. Too bad, I don't know which episodes has Jiao Zhu. What about you? Have you seen or planning to see it?
