Default Would Gwok Jing have approved of this marriage?

The marriage between Gwok Seung and Yeung Gor, assuming SLN actually did died. I wonder if Gwok Jing would have approve of it. The age difference between YG and GS is pretty big. But GJ had always wanted to marry his daughter off to YG. I wonder if he would approve of this marriage or would he feel the age difference would make it inappropriate?

    I would say yes.

Back in those days, men marrying much younger women is common, especially when compared to men marrying women a generation above - the emperors do it all the time.

Also, GuoFu and himself is partly to blame for why YG and XLN is parted in the first place. So he would have done it out of love, pity and guilt.

Considering its little east heretic and western crazy/passion, can GJ stop it if he does not give his consent? If they are in love, very little can keep those two apart. They both have always do what they wanted, decisive, self-determined and confident.

Anyway, with your belief in YG's kungfu and intelligence, whats stopping him from stealing GX from under GJ's nose.

ps. I see you are not so faithful to your *yawn XLN *yawn, and considering more exciting options that brings prestige, power and youth.

Hey hey, don't jump to conclusion now. Never said YG would go along with the idea. Wong Yung knows Gwok Seung has a huge crush on YG. She might bring this marriage up to Gwok Jing. That's all..

What if you didn't take that leap off the cliff and didn't get to reunite with your Gu Gu... do you think you'll ever fall in love again and marry another girl? Time heals everything right?

    Age difference never stopped HYS.

And I have explained age difference may not be significant those days for frowning upon.

Actually OYK was about 30, while HR is about 15-16. And he went to ask HYS for her hand in marriage. Neither OYF and HYS thought it was wrong.

LHC is like around 27(not really sure). While RYY is like 17.

She was only a few months younger than MCF.

    HR was 16 then.

LHC would be around 25 or so. LFH the Poison Sect leader was 27 and LHC said that she was a few years his senior. RYY was 18.

All this talk makes me feel like a dirty not-so-old man.

Interesting...thanks, guys! I've never read LOCH, thus I have no clue as to how old MCF or Mrs HYS was. I was surprised to learn that Mrs HYS was much younger than her husband though. I was under the impression that their ages were close. (I think that was how it was portrayed in the TVB adaptation.)

36 to 16 is too big of a difference.... I would never let my daughter do that, offcourse when she gets old enough, she wouldn't give a damm what I think

You just need to report the guy to the cops. He should be smart enough to know that statutory rape doesn't look good on his record. Don't need to try stopping your daughter.

There is really no reason why I won't leap off the cliff. 16 years passed and nothing changed, my love for Gu Gu is strong as ever. So time can't heal my grieving heart if it happens that we never reunited. On the bright side, my Sad Palms would be twice as strong.

Lol. But what if they were just dating?

To YG, what if when you jumped off, you didnt die? Everyone knows in this forum, that jumping off a cliff never kills you. Again looking on the bright side, you might find some powerful martial arts book to complement ur double sad palms.

BTW you turned ur own thread from would GJ approve to would YG approve.

Didn't Kiu Fung, Ah Chi, and Yau Tan Tze die this way (in rapid succession)? I think Lee Mok Sau also perished this way, as did Leung Tze Yung.
