i'm not catching on here. i thought the complete series have 40 episodes, so then if this dvd is the movie, then it means the series have been cut to fit the 100 minutes ?

thanks to anyone who can answer.

The series is 40 episodes, but I think the story has been cut into this movie version. I read some reviews on this and they weren't very good. If you're not familiar with the storyline, you may be confused.

This has English subtitles and is in 4 volumes. Total cost will set you back more than US$100

That's the English title given by China's CCTV 2001 release.

Yeah, I know. I just thought they might name it something different...
Blood Cold and Proud Hot? That sounds so strange...

Try to search "Laughing in the Wind" at YesAsia and you will find the complete serie subtitles in English by a USA's company.

Resurrecting this VERY ancient thread to say one thing I wanted (but never got around) to say long ago: the English translation of the title is UTTER GARBAGE: horrid syntax, horrid grammar - just the worst stereotypical pidgin English imaginable. It physically and mentally HURTS just to see this catastrophe of a phrase translation. Did they actually pay somebody to render that translation, or ask a nearby first-year elementary school student to do the job?
