Ok....random off topic question, but when filming does Vincent wear contact lenses?

I have no idea whether he wears contact lenses or not. If I had to guess I'd say no because I've seen clips of him in costume, at the filming sight, reading things with it close to his face. He seems to have the most difficulty with small prints. I read somewhere that his copy of the script is generally printed with a larger font size.

Thanks for the info, Damsel. I did not know he had a choice to pick the roles. As an actor, I think he made the correct choice by taking the evil role. It’s more challenging and has more room to showcase his acting ability. Playing the good guy can be predictable and boring sometimes. If I were in his shoes, I think I might do the same thing. I really like Vincent, Shui Ling and Athena in here, but the pairing of the couples suck big time. There was zero chemistry among the couples… very disappointing. I would have been happy if he had a romantic relationship with either Shui Ling or Athena. Wishful thinking on my part since the character was responsible for their father’s death. If he had played the older brother, I think it will be a walk in the park for him. However, as a viewer, I would have enjoyed the series more .

I totally agree with you tweety. Vincent likes to pick challenging characters to play. It's a good choice. But as a viewer I would have preferred he played the lead. Too bad he couldn't play both brothers. They can change the script so they're twin brothers...

Another question for you - do you know if he was given the choice to play the lead in the Mulan series with Anita Yuen? I thought he had a lot more chemistry with Anita than Zhao Wen Zhuo. Too bad he had to once again play second fiddle.

It ended about halfway through where Vincent was answering the question on how he got into the acting industry. About where he got the call three days later mark. Also, I didn't mean the interviews didn't download for me, what I mean was that the download speed was incredibly slow for me.

Yes, the servant was really loyal to the older brother and quite goofy. I too find him more bearable to the older brother = plain wooden stick

Oh Damsel, you really know how to make me drool with those pics I swear, the man is simply captivating to the eyes, especially all decked out in appropriate ancient attire. My wee little heart can't take so much eye candy . Now that I've seen some pictures of the new CLH, I'm also glad Vincent isn't part of the production. It looks so crappy . Good thing he didn't taint himself with this current adaptation.

Suet Seung - I'm not sure if I have the correct series, but I think I've seen it before, just don't remember the title. Perhaps Damsel can shed some light on it.

I think Vincent played a duke that is second in line to the throne after the king died. He was not the main character, but played a supporting role. A teenager had the leading role as the prince. Vincent's character had all it took to be a great king - great martial arts, the brains, and a kind personality. However, he would rather help and protect the prince be the next king. He did not end up with anyone and left after his work was done. I don't remember seeing him with a lot of scenes. Damsel, please let me know if I have the correct series or if I'm babbling on about something totally different.

Gosh, I just can't get over how great he looks in those pictures. It's been a dream of mine to see him take on the role of Yang Kang. Too bad he is too old now being in his mid 30s. He would have been perfect for the part since he's such a versatile actor. Aside from MKW, I have yet to see another actor fit the role so well. IMO, all other adaptations made the wrong casting choice for YK. Heck, if I was the casting director for any of the LOCH versions, I'd do anything to get Vincent.

Thanks for confirming. Awwwww of course your efforts in posting the pics will never go to waste. I have enough drool to keep this thread going. He has such a wuxia hero aura... I can never get tired of him.

Either YK or YG, I trust if given the chance, he would have excelled in those roles. Of course, this is assuming he does not have to work with some overhyped director . When I heard LOCH03 was in production, I thought the perfect choice for YK would be Vincent. Oh to see him pair up with Shui Ling would have been so awesome.
