It was very similar to the Justice Pao series. Each case lasted for several episodes. It was quite long (I think 40+ cases), so there were some interesting cases while others were boring. I believe Vincent appeared in the beginning. There were several episodes focused on him. I remember his character pops in and out. If my memory does not fail me, his character was a rebel wanting to kill Kang Xi (the king). Of course, he did not succeed and later on gave up his intent on assassinating the king after seeing that he was a kind and intelligent ruler. Vincent almost always looks great in wuxia, so no surprise here .
    Thanks so much
Oh yeah, I was wondering if you all know where I can buy "Elegant Play King"..I try to go to the site Tigercool.com but it was no longer around and Yesasia don't sell it...

I should have a couple more interviews I can upload. Vincent doesn't do sit down interviews very often, so there aren't that many interviews around. One normally sees him (briefly) in entertainment clips when reporters visit filming sight of his latest series. I'll look for the interviews and let you know once they've been uploaded.

Yep, I'm definitely the resident expert on Vincent here. Just ask me anything, anything! (Ok, I should not get too full of myself here)

Yes, tweety is correct again. I do have an answer for this one.
Yesasia does sell this series. It's just under a different name. Here's the link for it. http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.asp...id-1003960358/
At this point I have to say, even though I'm a huge Vincent fan, I don't recommend buying this series. It's pretty boring.

Now having said that, here are a couple of pictures. There are more pictures here: http://ent.sina.com.cn/download/photo/flxw.html

Btw, I haven't seen this series. What's it about? Care to elaborate a bit, Damsel?

Vincent's been doing annual charity events with his fans since 1998. He usually picks old age homes or homes for handicapped children to make his donations. These events started off small but grew each year. Eventually the press started to take an interest and got involved. Aug 6, 2006 was the 9th annual charity event. Around 100 fans participated.

Vincent’s character (a famous opera writer in history) runs a popular opera company. His company was picked by a court official to perform for the king, but another company wants to take their place. The rival company has the backing of another court official, and they plan to run Vincent’s company out of business. Vincent is involved with two ladies in the story. Lee, a talented performer with a past, and a princess (the king’s sister). He likes Lee but she keeps him at a distance. She’s still trying to get over an old love. The rival court official is also interest in her. (The old pervert. He’s old enough to be her father. ) The princess is a huge opera fan. She wanted to perform in plays, so searched out Vincent to have him teach her techniques. During this time she developed feelings for him but his heart is elsewhere. The whole story is about how they try to keep the company going and the relationship among the main characters.

Lee (played by Ning Ching) is the female lead, but I didn’t like her at all. The character was very cold and Ning Ching’s performance seemed awkward. I liked the princess more. She was very sweet, and had more chemistry with Vincent. Here is a mv on the series. The girl in the video is the princess.

BTW: What do you think of Vincent completely bald?

Of Vincent's recent shows I like "Wo Ai He Dong Shi" 我愛河東獅 and "Lei Hen Jian" 淚痕劍. These two shows really showed off Vincent's range as an actor.

One's a comedy where he played a wife fearing scholar. His fearful expressions and gestures are hilarious. He also had great chemistry with Chen Hao.

The other is a Gu Long series where he played the very complicated villain Zhuo Dong Lai. I found the story average, with its share of draggy parts and lots of talking, but Vincent was amazing. WOW! I am so in love with this villain. I can't tell right from wrong anymore after this. I was rooting for him all the way. This has got to be his best performance to date. Everything's expressed through his eyes.

"Lotus Lantern" 寶蓮燈 is not bad. I just ignored the love triangle between Chen Xiang and the two girls. He should be concentrating on saving his mother.

Of course I’m also partial to "Legend of Dagger Lee" 小李飛刀. That series made me a Vincent fan.

In regards to buying series on-line. I won't be much help. I normally buy them at our local video shops. It's cheaper than getting it on-line. The only on-line places I know of you've already mentioned - Yesasia and Tigercool.

No, I mean the interview downloads fine but the file name of the interview is Long Xia 1. So I just thought that might not be the right interview.

Thanks for the link to d/l the mv. I'm kinda interested in watching it now. The girl is definitely cute. Who does he end up with in the end? Boring plot huh? Well, I don't think I have the patience nowadays to sit through all the talking.

Damsel, the picture didn't show up. But that's ok. I love the man with or without his hair . It’s the way he presents himself on and off screen. There is just so much charisma in his posture, smile, and eyes. I just admire him so much for his acting talent. Also, I like the fact that there have not been a lot of rumors of him having “relationships” with other women. I prefer to think he is a devoted husband and dad.

Oh, so you fell for him in Dagger Lee? I got spellbound a long time ago. I was hooked the first time seeing him in the ATV Justice Bao series with Ray Lui. I think the character’s name is Bai Yu Tang (one of the 5 rats). He always wore white and my goodness, my heart melted each time he was onscreen . Great martial arts and had such a cheeky personality

He should definitely do more comedies. I really liked him as the king in Stealing Dragon Exchanging Phoenix with Zhang Ting. His goofy expressions are so adorable.

my father and i both dislike him. we basically turn away from any drama that has him unless he's not the main main actor and the other actor/actresses are really really good. the only time i didn't feel that he was disgusting was in this qiong yao series called cang tian you lei (tears in heaven). there he was a villain.

As with most of Vincent's shows, he ends up with no one. Lee left for parts unknown and the princess went back to the palace.

    This picture should work

Vincent is well known in the entertainment industry as a loving husband and father. People are amazed that with his years in the industry there have not been negative rumors on him. In all of his sit down interviews there is a section discussing his family life. He met his wife while shooting a commercial very early in his career. His wife was the make up artist. He said they would get married once he starts to make a name for himself. His popularity rose after playing Zhan Zhao in a Taiwanese series. True to his words he announced their engagement. Lot of people in the industry tried to talk him out of it. Getting married at this stage (when he was just starting to make a name for himself) is a bad career move. Many actors loose their popularity after they become attached. He said he didn’t want his wife to sacrifice her youth waiting for his career, and if his fans liked him they would also like his family. Whenever possible he would have his wife and kids with him at the filming sight. A couple of interviews mentioned him borrowing money to surprise his wife with a diamond ring for her birthday. He didn’t want her to see money going out of their account so decided to borrow it from his agency. They’ll deduct his future earnings to pay it back. Very sweet and romantic!

I first noticed Vincent when he played Zhan Zhao. I liked him then but Dagger Lee is what got me completely hooked. After that I started looking for his series (new and old).

DAMSEL, my buddy, my pal! thanks for the mv! I'd kiss ya if I could! Gosh, you are too good to be true . Simply love all the clips. Oh, the happy memories. I need to take out my tapes and rewatch Stealing Dragon Exchanging Phoenix. I really should get the dvds. He's so dorky in there. I thought he looked pretty good in drag It's one of the few series he made that had a good ending. Too bad they had to go and make part 2, which totally sucked. Good thing Vincent wasn't in it.

I guess I will pass on Elegant Play King then. Seeing him alone again is not good for me. I can't understand why a majority of his series have such bad endings. He either ends up alone, dies, or become a monk. What is up with that? I mean, once in awhile is ok, but it's so rare to find him end up with the female lead.

Awwww, bald Vincent is still so hot. Thanks for reposting the picture. He has a nice round head too. I know I'd look horrible bald. My head is not round at all. More angular than anything

It's true that most actors/actresses seem to want to hide their romances. Especially early on in their careers. He's way cool to think of his then girlfriend's happiness like that. What a sweet, honest, and romantic guy. I knew I didn't choose the wrong man to over ... hehehe. Whether married or single, it doesn't really matter to me. Afterall, I want to see him happy. I'm not sure how other fans feel, but I admire an actor much more when he is honest and upfront. I like him for his acting talents and it only adds to his charm that he cares for his family so much. His wife is really lucky. Life is so unfair sometimes. All I want is just a giant bear hug and a picture with the guy . Is that too much to ask? I think not.

I guess Dagger Lee is one of his major series that boost his popularity, but the character is very depressing. Vincent acted the role very well, but the character's actions annoyed the heck out of me. Giving up all your monetary possessions is going a bit far, but when he pushed the love of his life to another man. That's just downright wrong . He never even asked her what she wanted. The only characters I liked in the series were played by Wu Jing & Alyssa Chia.

He was hot as Zhan Zhao as well. Then again, I find him hot in any role
