Is Long Xia any good, Damsel?

I really liked Vincent's performance in Long Xia (especially when he came back from the “dead”) but was disappointed in the story and the overall cast. The main actress was not pretty and she can not act. Very bad pairing opposite Vincent. The girl who played his sister did a better job. The story started off well but never reached the climax I was looking for. The bad guys were too easily defeated. This is probably due to too much editing/cutting near the end. Long Xia was planned for 40 episodes but they cut it down to 33. I think they run out of money. Keep in mind, my disappointment is due to having high expectations. Friends who have watched it liked it. It may be because I really lowered their expectations.

BTW, I haven't forgotten about uploading Vincent's clips. I'll post them as soon as they are uploaded. I'll add a couple of Wu Dong mv's as well.

I was watching Devil Beside You and Mike He Jun Xiang looks like the younger version of Vincent Jiao so much especially when he smiles. Its uncanny.

Feng Qiu Huang is a "pretty" series. The people, clothes and scenery are all very pretty. It tells the love story of a real couple from history. Vincent plays a well-known scholar. His written work is even admired by the emperor. Unfortunately, the emperor admires his wife even more. You can see the problem he's faced with. The story moves at a slower pace, with lot of talking. I did find it draggy. On the positive side, couple chemistry is pretty good. Certain parts are quite moving. And it's one of very few series where Vincent gets a happy ending and ends up with the girl.
