So does anyone have any idea what Vincent's new modern series is about?

I would say it was pretty decent the first half. It really started to drag midway to the end. The script is not very faithful to the original story.

Vincent looked good in here though. Even with a bald head he still made me melt .

I am so slow with this series. Barely have enough time to watch it. I'm at the part where the men are about to leave for the capital to enter the exam. I'm hoping things will get more interesting soon. Can't stand the women right now. They bug. I enjoy the men together . So wimpy, yet so cute!

I agree with tweety. I thought it was too long. There were way too many unnecessary scenes. They even worked in family problems for the servant. Total filler episodes. The last few episodes (concentrating on Fa Hai) were very enjoyable though. Of course I could be slightly biased.

Side note: Vincent originally signed on to play Xu Xian but because the show’s backers were from Singapore they demanded that the leads be Singapore actor/actress. So Vincent was asked to play Fa Hai and the script was re-written to give him more screen time.

Don't know much about it. They are being secretive about the plot. Mythical characters from the past have traveled through time to the present. Vincent’s character is the president or CEO of a company. The character is not necessarily a good guy. Hopefully he would end up good at the end.

The women do get better later on. The two sisters become very good friends. Of course I enjoyed the whole series, except for some draggy parts. I loved seeing Vincent being abused. His expressions and gestures are hilarious. I must be sick in the head.

Yup, I did plenty of fast forwarding. The show should have been cut in half. I don't see the point in focusing on the servants and other side characters. It's nice to give Vincent more screentime, but they focused too much on his background. Parts about his parents started out as interesting, but quickly became boring. With a strong cast and good story to adapt from, this series could have been a real success if done correctly. Oh well, I blame it on the producers for trying to milk as much out of the cast as possible.

I'm crossing my fingers his new modern series will have a good ending for him. Please, no more lonely endings or him dying/being a monk. I'm just sick of it.

I was alright with Vincent being afraid of Chen Hao in the beginning, but the abuse got too much. My poor man *sniff sniff*... if it's not punching and kicking, she whips out the cane . And forcing him to study with little sleep too . To see him in such pain... my heart was breaking

I don't think she ever really hit him (except when she first met him). She just threatened him, for his own good of course (tongue in cheek). There is one scene later in the series where she whips out the cane again. Vincent faked a fall and pretended to have amnesia. She tried all kind of methods to try to get him to remember without success. Some of them were not very nice. Once she found out he was faking it, she whipped out the cane. As she lifts the cane to hit him Vincent's got this big puppy eye look on his face. As if asking “Are you really going to hit me?” And she couldn't do it.

Hm....Damsel, what you mean by that is that Vincent's the antagonist in the new modern series? Man, I wanted to see him as the protagonist.....

That may be the case. Vincent shares the male lead with someone else. From what I understand his character will not be a "good" guy but he will not be bad through out the series. Maybe he'll do some questionable things at first and gradually become good. Of course I'm just guessing.

Damsel, do you happen to have the full version of 我的心, because if you do I was hoping that you could upload it, seeing as I have the tv size version. Thanks.

Be careful of what you ask for Suet Seung. There will be lot more pictures of Vincent coming very soon. I'm almost ready to complete the challenge you gave me - pictures of Vincent with his co-stars. Until then...

    and for Suet Seung...

Thanks! Vincent gege looks so cute in white. I'd like to go up and pinch his cheeks to see what his reaction would be. Yes, take my challenage! I welcome it. For theres never enough Vincent to look at.

NEXT challenage will be Vincent's different facial expressions, can you post them all or find them all? Heh heh heh...but anyone can go find those pictures and post them as they please. But then that picture you posted, I think already has some of his different facial expression already.

Next week I'm starting classes again. I have to buy textbooks.

OH JOY, OH JOY, OH JOY!!! I'm eagerly awaiting as well . Vincent is one of those few actors that looks good in whatever outfits he wear . I haven't seen him in a costume that makes him look bad yet. Hoping I never will . I've been so busy, can't seem to have time to finish Lion Princess. Too much stuffs to do!
