Yang Mi (杨幂)

I love CCTV these days. They recently did another news report on Yang Mi in their news segment called "China Movie Report". Awesomely, they help clear up her plastic surgery rumours by talking about her teeth extraction in 2007 (she was so cute back then!) as well as her allergic reaction while promoting DMGD. As always, turn on captions for English subs!




"YingShi FengYunBang" also did a great news report on Yang Mi recently which included an exclusive interview with her. That one's longer (~17min) so I'm still working on subbing it--I'll probably upload it by the end of the weekend. (And yes, I'm still working on her Birthday Party episode...)

Another video I just uploaded was a preview clip of FSF's appearance on the show "Up Close". This is the previously mentioned one where the host decided to contact Yang Mi by phone and get her to talk about her relationship with FSF. ^_^

Part of that interview reminds me of this interview with FSF that was just released--here are the Yang Mi-related segments for all interested FengMi fans:

H：现在你和杨幂成为了一对“荧屏情侣”，老搭档有默契，但也容易被限定，你自己怎么看呢？
F：杨幂是很好的演员，也是很不错的搭档。我们很有默契，私下关系也很好。演员跟谁演戏都是演， 关键是自己 在角色创作上有没有腻。我想如果演员没有腻，观众应该也不会腻，因为我们演的是不同的角色，是 一个创作的过 程。
H：很多观众认为你们很登对，有想过顺从观众的意愿发展一下吗？
F：我们两个就是特别好的朋友，老友、老搭档那种，有默契在，互相损也不会生气。

记者：和杨幂现在经常一起演情侣，自己会觉得腻不，担心观众审美疲劳吗？
冯绍峰：我跟杨幂合作了很多部戏，我们在一起拍戏总是在现场突发奇想，出一些奇招，会给彼此带 来新鲜的灵感 ，很有默契。只要观众喜欢看，我们还是希望能有机会再合作。
记者：你眼中的杨幂是怎样一个人？
冯绍峰：杨幂是个很活泼开朗，直来直去的女孩子，对工作特别认真负责，对朋友很真心。
记者：很多粉丝都很关注你的终身大事，对另一半有什么要求，生活中喜欢哪一类型的女生？
冯绍峰：我喜欢的女孩要性格开朗，跟自己一样直白，自然大方、善解人意、知书达理、有爱心、能 让别人感受到 她的热情和温暖的女生是很有魅力的。
记者：如果遇上心仪的女孩，你也会如《宫》里的八王爷一样全心去爱吗？
冯绍峰：如果真的是自己喜欢的女孩一定会全力争取。

FSF on YM, and whether or not he's afraid of being "limited" by always collaborating with her: Yang Mi is a really great actress, and is also a really great costar. We have a lot of familiarity/rapport, and get along great in private. As an actor whoever you collaborate with you'll still be acting, the key question is whether you yourself is sick of the process of creating a character. But I think if the actor isn't even sick of it, probably the audience won't be sick of it either, because the characters we play are different each time, so it's always a new process of creating a new character.

FSF on whether he's sick of always playing a couple with her and whether he's worried the audience will get tired of it: I've collaborated with Yang Mi in many projects, when we're filming together we always spontaneously have some crazy ideas, do some crazy things, and give each other some fresh/new inspiration, we have lots of familiarity. As long as the audience likes to watch us, we still hope to have more chances to work together again.

FSF on whether they can really be a couple: The two of us are just really great friends, old friends, old costars, that type, with lots of familiarity/rapport, we don't get mad even if we always insult each other.

Reporter: What kind of person do you think Yang Mi is?
FSF: Yang Mi is very outgoing/free-spirited/open, she's a very straightforward/direct girl, extremely responsible and professional towards her work, very true-hearted/genuine towards her friends.
Reporter: Lots of fans are very concerned about your personal/dating life, what kind of requirements do you have towards your significant other, what kind of girl would you like in real life?
FSF: The girl I'd like would have a personality that is outgoing/open, someone just as straightforward/direct as me, generous and honest, kind and understanding, educated and well-read, has a warm heart, can let others feel how warm and sweet she is...I think that type of girl has great appeal.

(Umm...first of all, yeesh FSF, high standards much?! But second of all...obvious much?? For the first two qualities he used practically the exact same terms to describe YM in the previous question! He's also said before how YM loves reading books so she definitely fits the "educated" description as well. :P)

Reporter: If you meet a girl that you like, would you be like 8th prince in "Gong" and go love her whole-heartedly?
FSF: If I really did meet a girl I like I would for sure do everything I can to try to win her over.

Oh, sorry, this pic is actually from Gong 2 BTS filming (i.e. end of this September)! Hehe. Now this is all just my own personal opinion, but no, I definitely don't think they were dating during the first Gong...(well, I think from reading FSF's weibos back then he seemed to have a crush on YM, but Gong filming was more like a process of YM going from hating FSF to becoming good friends with him, so it probably wasn't that fast! ) If you ask me, I think they started dating once FSF started getting super nervous whenever he appeared in public with YM (especially whenever the media asked dating questions)--in January he still seemed to have no problem (in the JinYing interview they were even joking around about relationship rumours, and on Happy Camp he wasn't nervous at all). Then in late February he began getting all tongue-tied and hesitant.

Aww thanks. ^_^ Thanks for all your youtube clips as well--I noticed you have a lot of FengMi videos I never watched from before June (when I started following the FengMi Baidu forum). Yes, I'm Chinese but I don't live there (I was born there but I left pretty young...I just really love watching Chinese dramas ever since HZGG suckered me in! ). Sorry, I have way more YM clips uploaded because she appears on more variety/talk shows and there are more news reports on her, but I will upload the important FSF clips as they come as well.

I actually only found out about the Teddy Family from JoleCole but yes, apparently YM is the youngest member (she's called "Qi Mei", i.e. 7th sister). There is a baidu baike page on them but I don't know about any non-Chinese info pages...

she totally looks mixed in that picture above. looking forward to learning more about ym next projects and seeing how much she benefitted from her training at wudang.

and yes, cctv loves ym...i think it may have to do with the fact that she is in a couple of their unreleased series. hopefully those will get released soon. can't believe one series already has been released in japan but no word about it in china? and she looks quite lovely in that series too.
