Just a comment. Yes i agree on that point too maybe she was paid more to extract her tooth. BUT I think the monetary gain for the sacrifice of a few teeth is not at all proportional.

The pulling-teeth-out part was a bit too much, but the article said it was to better fit the role. I mean, the teeth won't grow back if you're past a certain age!

Some of the molars or wisdom teeth can still be growing around 20 years of age...so maybe she consulted with her dentist...

yea that's what i was wondering..how would her teeth grow back but the director said smth like she went for a special surgery which will allow her teeth to grow back in 6months time, and seems like people normally dont go for that type of surgery because its very costly.

Besides, won't pulling out normal good teeth... really hurt?

I went through it before. It wont hurt when the dentist is extracting your teeth because he'll jab your gums before that so you'll feel numb even after the tooth is extracted but after the anesthetic wears off, the pain kicks in and you can't talk for a day or 2. And the worse part is when u need to eat...you'll have to stick to soft foods for sometime.

Was this teeth-pulling thing in a series or what? If it is in a series, then that is sick.

No she did it 2 months before filming of the movie started, the reason being to look the part of the character she's supposed to play

No it won't, but i guess she doen't want to miss this chance because it's supposed to be a very hyped production by a very famous director. And the movie will probably be released asia-wide which would help her gain recognition outside of mainland.

i read that its a film, thriller/horror type thing with a huge budget. i think we wont know how crucial the teeth pulling is until we see the final product of the film. i mean, the director probably wouldnt have insisted on YM's sacrifice unless it was really imperative that she look a certain way for her role. im sure they considered the pros and cons of the decision carefully before they did this. sure, it'll hurt for a while but it wont jeapordize her carrer or anything.

very pretty banners..managed to watch the ROCH dvds at last and 1st thing i did was to watch all the episodes with GX in it, YM is really adorable..my mom thinks that she looks like some cute animated character, which she does actually, especially those puppy eyes

i love puppies...therefore i really like the way yang mi looks!!! actually, she is just cute and beautiful and gorgeous all rolled into one. but i will skip roch, not my favorite story and not my favorite leads.
