Yeah! An interview I read in Yangmi.org said that she seemed so tired she doesn't talk alot, and that even her smiles are like so listless and almost half-hearted. c.c;

Just finished watching ROCH05 and I still wanna watch more of Yang Mi's Guo Xiang.

One of the most unnerving thing though, is that there's some parts that has been obviously censored (I suspect the Singapore censorship board grrrr... ).

I just wanna give her a hug at the ending scene when her tears fell. :'(

Guo Fu is great too, the way she showed her sisterly love for Guo Xiang, risking her every limb and life to save her little sis. Awww!!! *runs to a corner and starts to attack boxes of tissues*

poor Guo Xiang.........searched for Yang Guo for many years, but all she received were bittersweet tears ...........

Well, I only remember one of them, which is the scene of Guo Xiang's birthday. The Shi brothers got the sacks of ears. Guo Xiang asked what they were, and looked like she's about to open them or something. Next scene was, everyone were tossing somethings around happily with the sacks OPENED and EMPTIED, which doesn't connect to the previous scene at all. All and all, it looks obviously CUT and CENSORED.

I finished ROCH last sunday and it was tremendous for me too.. Similarly, I couldn't accept how quickly YM's role came to a close in the show:P It was not enough for me, haha...

That aside, I know that scene, having bought it in Singapore as well, I was under the impression that all the versions were already censored in such a manner. From what I see, they seem to be throwing rice grains out.

yes!! i dont get why they had to cut tt part where the shi brothers announced that the gift was ears out. It wouldnt have take up more thn maybe 30secs or so right? And another part they cut out was when GX sealed GWM's acupoints and placed rocks on him. They just showed the part she sealed his acupoints but cut out the part she placed rocks on him because in the next scene, GWM caught up with her again and he mentioned about how great his kungfu was such that he could even free himself frm the rocks. My brother who has never read the novel before was like what rocks is he talking abt??

Yeaaaah there's the rocks part! I've forgotten about that. I thought that the rocks part wasn't included in the show but it was! I mean, if it hasn't been included (filmed), why would Golden Wheel Monk even mention it? c.c;

I think that the show ended a little abruptly too, and the scene where Guo Xiang was tied up for burning came kind of... well, abrupt too. I find the latter abrupt mainly because of GWM's final sacrifice for her. I do not think that enough interaction between the monk and the young girl has been shown. And the way GWM kept screaming (he looks like he's screaming and crazy half the time anyway ) on how he's going to burn her to death didn't help either. Because of those reasons, I was doubtful that the ending would be of the third edition's but it turned out that I was wrong afterall. u.u;

And erm, GWM was still 'screaming' even when he's close to death. That old guy's got a hell lot of energy and spunk in him. c.c;

It's probably a tie btw XLN and CY but the latter more i guess cause he finds XLN's kter a little too 'dead'. For me, it's a tie btw CY and GX in the novel..but in this adaptation, no doubt GX..i found the CY so in this version!
