yes i think YM has very attractive eyes, it's not large like ady or vicki's, its just right and rather expressive and sparkling, a little like shui ling who's know for her crystal eyes. i dun think LYF has very attractive eyes imo, but they're kinda unique, very typical phoneix type eyes.

yes YM is in Liao Zhai. she's playing Xiao Qian, u know the chinese ghost story? and she's pairing up with Hu Ge whom i rather like too, so..yipee! i think i posted like a short clip on pg 2 or 3 of this thread.

oo... she looks so good as Wang Zhao Jun, my fave of the 4 great beauties. but i've always pictured wzj as the super serene, dignified, elegant, take everything in but don't let anything out type of girl. i know this one wants to portray the bubbly side, but i guess it takes some getting used to this version of wzj.

if that pic wif her holding hands with an older woman is yang mi and her mom, then her mom looks really young. and kinda like cecilia something. the one who acted as zhao min and yin susu in one of the hsds versions, and also as the husband of the lady white snake.

its just like the way that fans used to(and still do) want to compare Ruby and Vicki, or Alyssa with GYY etc. LYF and YM are both starring in the same drama, and they're around the same age, is it not common to compare costars with eachother?
newcomers always get compared to the more established actresses. i think LYF had been kinda lucky in that respect, aside from her costars in the same drama, I dont think LYF is compared with too many other actresses.

ps: i just read somewhere that yangmi is signed up with chen kun, zhou xun's management company, so im sure she'll have alot of good opportunities in the future.

Wang Zhao Jun was born and grew up during the Han dynasty. She was actually brought into the palace as a maid when she was 16 or 18yrs of age. She's supposed to be a woman full of courage and of course startling beautiful to earn her the title of a great beauty. The Han emperor at that time was at war with the Xiong Nus, the very strong barbaric tribe and to make peace, he was supposed to marry off his princess to the Xiong Nu's leader. Not bearing to marry off his daughter(s) to such a harsh life with the enemy, the emperor asked if any of the palace maids would dare take on the task. No one but a maid surnamed Wang was willing and she was Zhao Jun. When the emperor saw her at last, he was astonished by her beauty, intelligence and courage and of course regretted not knowing her first, though it was already impossible to make her a concubine. It was then revealed that (im not sure of this part but..) WZJ was actually choosen as a concubine candidate but evoked envy from the other women in the palace, and candidates were supposed to bribe the imperial painters so that they could paint a prettier portrait of them to send to the emperor for picking. WZJ refused to participate in such corruption and so was painted as a plain and ordinary girl in which, of course the emperor took no notice of. WZJ was then sent to become a palace maid. It was said that the emperor later had that imperial painter killed when he found out the truth. The famous image of WZJ always shows her with her Pi Pa (a chinese string instrument) which she brought with her when she was married off to the Xiong Nus. She later married her son when the leader of the Xiong Nus, her husband died. she, along with another of the beauties, Xi Shi are famous for sacrificing their youth and life for the sake of their country to act as pawns of peace.

In the series, i bet there will be some modification such as taking away of adding bits to make it more dramatic and interesting. I heard WZJ has relations with 6men. 3 before she entered the palace, with the emperor and latter the leader of the Xiong Nus and his son. Alot of pressure on a 19yr old actress eh?
