FSF looks like a creeper to me.
If I were her, I'd have a thing for Wallace too. LOL. Wallace's acting impresses a lot of his costars, and Zhang Meng said that all the girls on the Tang Lang set were so impressed when they saw him fight.
Shui Ling has a quiet elegant look, while YM is more spunky and lively. But I've noticed that as she gets older she starts looking more and more elegant. But it's true, Shui Ling is very serenely beautiful.

And in this post (June 2009), she posts a pic of her and Wallace together and says she likes the nickname (小mi - Xiao Mi or literally little Mi) given by him during the filming of CP3, as she finds it very cute.

Yeah, "Xiao Mi" is cute! And her fans call themselves "Mi Feng", i.e. bees.

Yeap. Besides Yang Mi's bees, I know of the following fan names:

Hu Ge - Hu Jiao Fen (pepper)
    LSS - Shi Zi (lions)
YH - Hong Dou (red beans)
Tang Yan - Tang Tang (candy)

Not sure about what Wallace Huo's fans call themselves.

They call themselves Huo Mi, Mi as in ying mi. I don't think that means anything (?).

The singer Li Yuchun's fans are Yu Mi (corn). I totally don't follow her, but I think the name is cute.

Yang Mi has recently posted on her weibo that she and Feng Shao Feng are just good friends in real life, dispelling rumours that they are dating in real life. In addition, she stated that her ideal guy is someone who is like Nicholas Tse.

I always thought Shui Ling and Yang Mi look quite alike, but Shui Ling's expressions are...say...quite predictable. Yang Mi's beauty has this X-factor edge which can't be described and I'd say, has better audience pulling power than Shui Ling.

After Gong, I much rather see Yang Mi with Wallace Huo or Ma Tianyu than FSF. Gong is the biggest piece of BS I've seen. "Popularity" is just a matter of perception crafted by Yu zheng's PR machine.

Well, FSF isn't really much of a standard. The majority of this forums dislikes him, right?

My mother watches Gong and she says she skips most parts. I haven't bothered, but she says that it's a bit childish and stupid in terms of plot and script, and that the costumes look really childish as well.

Yeah, contrary to a lot of people's opinions who think that Gong's costumes look more "vibrant" than Bu Bu's, I thought Yang Mi's costumes looked very cheap in Gong, made of the same type of cotton material as my pyjamas which I get from the flea market.

IDK, I just feel Gong is the kind of production out to make a quick buck.

I'm looking forward much more to YM's roles in Ru Ji/Hu Fu Chuan Qi and Mei Ren Tian Xia. I think the costumes in Mei Ren Tian Xia look pretty awesome, though the make-up on the girls is too heavy.

Yu Zheng productions seem to have really heavy makeup. I will always go "huh?" at why he chooses hot pink lipstick.
I haven't seen it in action, but from the photos, the material of the Gong costumes look too stiff to be made from even cotton. I guess they're just going for "cute" with the childish costumes, but the tailoring is really awful.

YM's maid costumes in "Gong" do look cheaply-made but I like several of the costumes/hair accessories she dons after she becomes 8th prince's wife. "Bu Bu Jing Xin" does seem to have costumes of a higher quality but I don't find them (especially the female costumes) very striking; some of them actually come across as dull. They made use of a lot of thick capes and fur lining (probably 'cause filming took place during winter) but somehow, I just find them a less sophisticated and classy version of the costumes designed for TVB's "War and Beauty". I think on the whole, I don't really mind "Gong's" costumes because I find the female cast a lot more attractive-looking than "Bu Bu Jing Xin's" (no offense to fans, just my personal opinion). But of course, all other stuff about "Gong" is pretty much crap.

Yeah, I agree Yang Mi and Tong Liya are better-looking than most of the female cast in Bu Bu, but their characters in Gong...errr...lack substance. When the girl is an airhead, I can't find her attractive at all. Which is a real pity because they are both really good artistes who have depth and range in their acting. IDK why, but I found FSF handsome in Gong bcos his character is just much better than the others and he acted well. I never found him handsome before Gong .

Guess it's a matter of personal taste & prejudice - I just equate elegance with simplicity. Always think too much eye make-up and overly colourful clothes tends to "cheapen" the look of an attractive woman. Doesn't help that Gong's costumes look made of pyjama cotton. Agree that the female costumes in War & Beauty were beautiful, but they looked made of polyester and the make-up had too much red lipstick for me.

I like Yang Mi's "simpler" look in the Mei Ren Tian Xia pics below (minus the heavy eye make-up) .

Who cares how attractive the women are? I'm only interested in looking at hot guys!!!

Yang Mi & Tong Liya's FUGLY leading men in Gong downgrades their attractiveness.

I'm going to let out my inner fashion obsession for a bit...
It's not just that Gong's costumes are too colourful, the tailoring looks quite home-made and THEY HAVE NO SILHOUETTES. I didn't know it was possible to make clothing without silhouettes. And it's really cheesy. Cheesiness is the reason why Luella went bankrupt.
    Okay, I'm done.

Honestly, I think Yang Mi's absolutely gorgeous. She looks amazing in those pictures xiaolong posted, and I really like her look in Hong Lou Meng and CP3. But I don't like her look in Gong at all. I find it really unflattering and honestly, I don't think it looks better than LSS's Bu Bu look at all. The hair+makeup is like...??? Tong Li Ya, I guess that's personal taste because I don't find her very attractive in general. I will agree that Bu Bu's supporting females aren't all very beautiful, although I think Guo Xiao Ting is getting prettier every time I see her.

Besides YM and TLY, I think the rest of the supporting female cast are pretty attractive physically; e.g. Lu Yi (even though she was only a guest star), Sonija Kwok and the actress who acted as 4th prince's first wife.

The make-up was rather too thick especially for Gigi Lai and Maggie Cheung during the last quarter of the series and I think it was probably so in an effort to emphasise the "maturity" and "viciousness" of the female leads. Nonetheless, I really like most of the costumes in "War and Beauty" (especially Charmaine Sheh's) which suited most of the cast and the personalities of the characters they played well. I usually dislike TVB's somewhat cheap and recycled props and costumes, especially for some of their period productions but it is obvious that a lot of money, time and effort was put into WAB.

YM does look very pretty in those MRTX pics (she is able to carry off a wide range of period styles very well) but I don't think it's one of her best period looks, probably because of the hairstyle, which seems to place emphasis on her somewhat squarish jawline and sunken cheekbones and makes her look more matured. I personally think YM looks best with some hair let down or pulled back in a flat, simple bun, like in "Painted Skin" (http://tieba.baidu.com/f/tupian/albu...E6%BB%AD%C6%A4), "Hong Wu Da An" (http://tieba.baidu.com/f/tupian/albu...E4%B4%F3%B0%B8), "Mei Ren Xin Ji" etc. And of course, I think her best period looks are in her earlier works before she went to lose all that weight and teeth, like in "Wang Zhao Jun" and "Shang Shu Fang".

I actually think that out of all her works, YM looks worst in "Hong Lou Meng" and I'm actually amazed by how the crew managed to make an actress who usually looks gorgeous even in the simplest period style look that bad. But well, what can we expect with half-painted red nails, ghastly-white powedered faces, lack of eyebrows and granny costumes? I thought YM looked very average in CP3 and imo, was given a much less flattering style (costumes, hairstyle etc.) than Tang Yan and even LYF in CP.

I seriously don't dig Liu Shishi's look in "Bu Bu Jing Xin" and with the exception of those pics of her dancing in the snow (?) I think she looks somewhat plain and awkward, either because the costumes don't flatter her or she doesn't suit the Qing style and I actually find that there are 1 or 2 other supporting characters who look prettier than LSS in the pics and trailer. The male cast on the other hand are all looking good!

With how close LSS and YM are, and how similar the productions are, Gong and Bu Bu Jing Xin were bound to be compared. But to be quite honest, neither leading lady looks her best in these series. Gong is too bright and cheap looking, Bu Bu is too washed out. But girls are so gorgeous, but these series do them no justice. YM does look stunning in Hua Pi, and it reminds me a bit of her younger days when she was healthier and vibrant.
But these productions will give them a lot of exposure so it's good in the long run.
