very hard to say, both are cute and lively.

Yvonne was really cute and bubbly for GX. YM too.. but maybe she had more emotions in the roel.. could be script's merit too

you should judge yourself. but she stole the show at the end

honestly...i dont mind...i like the idea what ZJZ and crew did with each character...almost every characters are unique in their own way...agree?

I mean, i didn't have a total hatred of her costumes. but i thought YVonne's costumes looked nicer and something that i had in mind.

but as i said, Yang Mi shined thru when she appeared.

I've just watched the first 2 episodes where YM comes out, she's a very adorable GX. some of her expressions and actions are rather comical as well. But i felt that the part where she travels with YG was much too rushed, it was condensed into abt 1 episode.. they cut out quite alot i guess, especially the part when YG and GX visit ZBT.

I finshed episodes 45, 47, 48, of ROCH.. and i have to say that Yang Mi stole the show near the end. She was so adorable as Guo Xiang.

She stole the show ever since she came out in episdoe 40. The other characters sort of faded into the background, and with XLN still out of the scene, GX was the only female character which stood out besides HR.

Yang Mi is cute too.. but some scenes let her emotions out more...... I was kind of teary when Golden Wheel monk saved her and asked her to call him SHI FU. I thought that was sad.

and the other love scenes.. i got bored

Yes that scene with GWM was really emotional and touching. She was brilliant at the ending scene as well, when she watched the Yang couple fly away into the night. Her expression, teary but with a subtle sad smile was priceless.

But one thing i didnt really fancy was how she acted a little too weak and afraid when she was held hostage and when YG came to save her. GX, though naturally frightened at tt time was supposed to put on a very brave front.

Anyway, i for one didnt really fancy her costumes and hair, unique as they were, it was too complicated and foreign-looking for my liking, especially those chunky clips and earrings. No where in the novel does it state that she had to disguise as a mongolian or anything like that. It would have been a plus if she had simpler, but sweeter costumes/hair which would further enhance her youth and innocene, like the 1995/1998 adaptations. But oh wells, she still looked really adorable, i liked her yellow outfit(during her b'day celebration) the best, the black one was ok but i hated the silly red one in the beginning, except that the fury red cape did look pretty cute on her.

With the excpetion of XLN, HR, GF, WYP and perhaps LWS, the other female costumes were pretty much painful to look at.

The first one is Return of the Condor Heroes (Shen Diao Xia Lu) 2006 where she acts as Guo Xiang. you can check out the very hot thread in the china series section.

The second one is a called "da sai tao hua kai", it is a movie not a series if im not mistaken. But there is not much news abt this show though her profile states that the show was filmed in 2005. i dont even know whether it is released/aired yet or not.

I've yet to see YM in HFSJ, one of her earlier series but i have to say that she looks very beautiful in costume. And if im not wrong, she was only about 16 i think when she starred in that series, but she looks like an elegant young woman.
