And seems like YM is good friends with a lot of people in the entertainment industry--many of the actors/actresses she works with she maintains good relations with. In fact she is part of 2 infamous "actress friend groups"--as JoleCole mentioned before she is the "7th sister" in the "Teddy Family/Teddy Sisters" (consists of 7 actresses including Qin Lan, Huo Siyan, Li Xiaolu, and Xiong Naijin). She's also a member of Qi Wei's "Hou Gong" (Qi Wei's beautiful ladies "harem" haha). Funnily enough this is also a group of 7 actresses, including Qi Wei, Yang Mi, Tang Yan, Dong Xuan, Tong Liya, Zeng Xiyi, and Zhang Jiani (newest member).

I've never really followed the actors/actresses personal lives much before, but I'm getting curious. So I've never heard about this Huo Si Yan's Teddy Family and Qi Wei's "Hou Gong" until reading this. I managed to find some about the TDF but not the Hou Gong. Can you tell us more? This group sounds like a younger generation of acting beauties that I'm at least familiar with. I don't know who Zeng Xiyi is though. And is this Qi Wei very popular/famous too? YM with her bubbly, outgoing, straightforward nature must be very easily making friends everywhere she goes. It'll be interesting to see her interactions with the others in those 2 sisterhoods. I feel like she's the first person who can claim that they're good friends with Liu Yifei.

On the recent pics, YM looks really good and healthy. She's always glowing and her arms look normal sized; I remember when we were complaining how she was too thin before. I love her sparkly, expressive eyes that can easily electrify people. And that her style and hair now is made to look mature and elegant.

By the way, have any of you watched her in the Dream of the Red Chambers? I want to see what that series is like, although YM's appearance in there looks ghastly.

I think it's sorta normal protocol to hold your partner's hand at such award ceremony. It would be awkward if the two of them walked up together side by side without the hand holding part. I'm actually not surprised by YM's grabbing FSF's hand since she did the same thing during the Youku and Oriental Award Ceremony back in March. My favorite FengMi's tidbits come from their interviews. It's the casual bickering and subtle hand gestures on YM's part that got me excited. I'm just happy they act so comfortably with each other.

P.S. I found it really funny that FSF sometimes refers himself as "Uncle Feng" to YM on weibo. Now fans keep on teasing him with this reference. Makes him sound like her sugar daddy. Sorry, I know it sounds sorta gross if I probe more into it.

Zeng Xiyi = Yumiko Cheng. I've only seen her in the Legendary Siblings (Nic Tse/Dicky Cheung version). Actually I myself am not that familiar with "Hou Gong"--I heard bits of it before but only recently when I watched the Unbeatables concert (where Qi Wei mentioned her "harem") did I know the full list of members. Qi Wei I think is decently famous? Hard to gauge since I am not in China right now! Although, I think the "Hou Gong" mostly revolves around Qi Wei and her friends--YM is probably quite close with Qi Wei/TY/Dong Xuan/TLY in the "harem" but I don't actually think she's that close to Yumiko or Zhang Jiani since they've never collaborated and I haven't seen news about them? (Could be wrong though--after all I didn't think YM and Dong Xuan were close but according to fans on baidu they really are good friends...)

YM does seem to get along well with almost everyone. In fact the only person I remember saying bad things about her is TR (i.e. Karen). Everyone else (costars, producers, directors) only have great things to say about her. If you think about it, YM's crazy schedule must not make it easy for producers/directors--she is always working on multiple things at once. e.g. when she was filming Ru Yi and HP2 at the same time, I would sometimes see crew members post on weibo: "We are just waiting for YM to come back and film her scenes." But not in an annoyed way--in fact they only say how hard-working and professional she is, not that her schedule gives them a hard time. Lu Chuan (director of WDSY) recently said that to get YM in his project, he would have to schedule her time in very specifically with her agent; since he is a very "slow" director, he requires his actors to pretty much be "waiting around" a lot because he might call on them to film scenes any time; thus YM had no choice but to resign from her role. However, again he did not seem annoyed, but instead mentioned that both he and YM were very regretful she couldn't participate.

I tried watching Dream of Red Mansion but got so bored after the first episode. >_< Maybe I'll try again some other time...However I did read an article once saying that YM and Tang Yifei were the two actresses that got the most praise (the series as a whole was full of a lot of controversy but it sounded like there was a general consensus that YM and TYF did a good job).

Du Chun appeared in some recent event promoting Yu Zheng's 4 upcoming TV dramas and when asked by reporters to talk about his personal relationship with YM & FSF, he revealed that YM is an extremely sharp-tongued Beijing girl who never fails to tease him whenever they meet. When asked to respond to the FengMi rumours, he reveled that it's impossible for them to be together, "When the rumours about them first started, I really found it hilarious, it's impossible as they're just too close/familiar with each other." Du Chun also commented that YM is the type of girl who is "difficult to marry out". He said, "She's just too extroverted and outgoing. She's not only beautiful but extremely clever and witty, like a little pixie. Only someone who is stronger in her all these areas will be able to control her."

On a side note, YM was unable to attend the same event and recorded a clip expressing her trust/faith in YZ's choices and that no matter what happens, he'll always be the one she's most grateful towards (probably due to the fact that he partially helped her out of the cold storage treatment inflicted upon by Karen). In response, YZ repeatedly expressed happiness with YM's message.

Sorry but imo, I still think that out of the 3 actresses, HG still looks best with YM. HG & LSS always seem so sibling-like that it's difficult to picture them as lovers and as gorgeous as Tang Yan is, I find that she's more suited with the super manly & matured type of guy (not saying HG isn't but somehow, he has this childish streak, plus cheekiness and wit which matches YM's character well). Just my 2 cents.

At first i was shipping GeMi but now YM already have FSF then forget it.... I thought the same thing too TY is really pretty and match those manly man but those super manly guys are not as sweet as the childish guys and HG and TY were super adorable at the Clear concert and the unbeatable BTS video...

It's good that you guys are here to cool down things a bit because I can definitely go overboard! FengMi are definitely not confirmed (they won't be unless they personally admit to it, as JoleCole said). But there's a reason why so many people are convinced they are an item despite their repeated attempts to refute the rumours. I'm definitely not basing this just on a few hand-holding incidents or "shoulder-shoving" incidents--in fact YM did the same "shoulder-shoving" movement with Shawn Yue at their movie conference not long before. But there are differences in the way they act around other good friends; plus adding up all the stuff from the previous few months is what convinces me. (In addition, there are many examples of Chinese celeb couples insisting they are "JUST FRIENDS" for a long time before finally admitting it to the public.)

But, it is certainly possible FengMi are simply very, very comfortable friends. So don't let my overexcited gushing get to you!

He said a lot more stuff too, giving an anecdote about YM's "teasing": (clearly this poor guy is not tough enough to handle her )

Du Chun says YM always teases/bullies her good friends, saying he and FSF have both become part of her lives (as in good friends) so almost every time they see her they get "bullied/insulted". He then gives an example: "Once we had dinner together, I just bought a new yellow striped shirt, and pair of blue pants, I thought it looked really good so I wore it to the dinner. And then I only just entered the room with half my body, only to hear YM say, "Heh, I thought it was a 'ge li dai' that just entered the room." (Note: I think "ge li dai" refers to those ropes used at events to act as a separator, you know how they're striped yellow and white.) I said, doesn't it look good? YM said, "yeah looks good, but I still think you look like a 'ge li dai'."

ROFL...poor guy sounds so hurt that YM didn't seem to appreciate his awesome outfit like he thought! Actually from other vids I've seen of YM it seems like a lot of her male costars are "intimidated" when she teases them--I remember one where she made fun of Li Chen and Cheng Si Cheng on the BJAQGS set; they just kept standing there awkwardly. So I definitely see where Du Chun is coming from when he says YM needs to find a guy who can "handle/control" her.

Anyways I don't take the things these celebs say in public that seriously. They all deny things in an effort to keep their private lives under wraps. e.g. Du Chun himself is strongly rumoured to be dating another actress but apparently he has no problem smoothly denying it either. Actions speak stronger than words...

Recently there was another interview with Qi Wei during which she was asked about the members of her "Hou Gong". In YM's section, her and the host also say she is a "jing ling gu guai" (bubbly/energetic, "pixie"/clever-type girl). Then QW reveals:

QW: She talks to me about her love life too...we're the type who can talk for hours on the phone together!
Host: Sharing her love life with you?? What kind of stuff will she encounter in her love life? (Qi Wei is probably like, "uh oh...walked right into that one!! Oops.")

Oh...i just got confirmed news from the YM's agent that they can make it to tomorrow's big award ceremony after all. But I doubt FengMi will walking together/sitting together at this event since they both have their own individual projects to promote. SWEET! Last I heard, the agent said they were still trying hard to adjust YM's schedule for it. Apparently LeTV contacted them months beforehand so she could make the time but Hua Biao award (tomorrow's event) only contacted them 2 weeks in advance so YM already had her schedule full.

Anyways, there are also rumours that YM/LYF will be presenting something together (probably explains LYF's weibo message...I can imagine the excitement from Fei-Mi shippers, since LYF/YM haven't appeared together since what, ROCH days?). And also rumours that YM/FSF/LYF will be appearing together for something...LMAO at the thought.

I definitely agree with Du Chun's description of YM. In terms of what Du Chun said YM needing a guy who can "control/restrain" her sounds a bit too chauvinistic for my liking. I heard him used the character "zhen zhu" meaning "to restrain/to control/to weigh down on her" in the video interview but I heard some fans said he also used the character "jia shi" meaning "to drive/navigate/direct" YM. A lot of YM's female fans, especially the Beijing ones, hate that term since it feels derogatory and full of masochism if used upon the opposite sex. Based on these comments and what tidbits I know about Du Chun, he's definitely exhibits the traits of a classic "northern Chinese man" = patriarchal. I just can't imagine YM being with a chauvinistic guy. Can you imagine fiery verbal exchanges between them? (remember the arrogant guy from Central Theater Academy in Happy Camp episode?)

Even though i don't really know what is the true nature of FengMi's relationship, but I definitely don't think YM can always have the upper hand in their teasing/bickering. The driving incident comes to mind.

P.S. I personally think Du Chun and his rumored girlfriend, Zhang Jia Ni (girl from Dream's Link) are very likely an item, even more likely than FengMi. Cuz I saw paparazzi photos of their dates in Beijing + Zhang Jia Ni keeps leaving romantic comments on Du Chun's weibo and Du Chun. LOL
