Oohh, that guy with that big nose and funny hair swept to the side is that famous magician Liu Qian (刘谦) - he acted as that sinister policeman in the Wu Zun, Han Geng & DaS movie, My Kingdom.

I think they wrapped it up in late 2007 or early 2008. Originally it was supposed to be aired around the time of Beijing Olympics, I think - and for a while it kinda looked like it was going to be a part of that year's Chinese large-scale promo-campaign...
The wait is getting truly frustrating. (I want my dose of Cheng Haofeng and early Chinese imperial history, goddammit!)

Yeah, I'm a total HongMi shipper, waaaay more than HongShi I do think their acting talent suit each other to a tee with their expressive eyes - they both use their eyes to the full in their acting.

Thanks for uploading the Lux video xiaolong! ^_^ Too bad it's only 10 minutes long--I mean, I wasn't expecting anything long but seriously, 10 MINUTES?! They probably had like 1 minute of screen time actually together, lol...but, cute nonetheless! The "hair-related" scenes are so cheesy though, haha...also I feel so bad for YH's fiancee, she took care of him for 5 years and she ends up with nothing? O_o (Anyways it kinda makes me want to go back and attempt to watch "Shang Shu Fang" again...or maybe rewatch the Yun Ting/Xuejian scenes in CP3. ) patricia, I can translate the dialogue over the weekend but I might not have time to actually sub it...

Yang Mi once again shows her tendency of "bullying" her male costars while styling YH's hair...pretending to "axe" his head in half, lol. At the end YH goes, "我们之间真的没有仇吗?" (Loosely translates to: "Are you sure there isn't some kind of revenge/hatred between us?")

Speaking of GeMi, I just started rewatching their LiaoZhai (I got nostalgic after finally getting around to watching LYF's "Qian Nu You Hun") and even though the special effects are insanely cheesy, I am falling in love with their storyline all over again... ^_^ So hard to believe that it was filmed so early into both of their careers! A pity it is much less popular/known than their second collab in CP3. I am tempted to go look for more CP3 BTS/press conference stuff that I missed before...that cast was so cute together!

Edit: xiaolong just saw your post in LYF's thread and I couldn't help but do some more FengMi fangirling again LOL. So he first posted a pic of LYF along with some compliments saying how nice/kind she is etc...it was to return the favour because LYF has been highly praising and complimenting FSF in many of her recent interviews. I guess some fans took it the wrong way and commented about it in his weibo. So shortly afterwards FSF reposts a news report where it talks about LYF praising FSF, then he added: "For the people who did not understand before, now you understand why I was touched. As a friend she has already praised/showed support/encouragement for me countless times. Thank you!" I have to laugh at how quick he is to make sure to explain everything and ensure there are no misunderstandings every time when it comes to other actresses...yet all his YM-related posts he offers zero "explanation" and is probably happily reading all the comments teasing him about FengMi, lmao...he's probably thinking, "the more you misunderstand the better, heheh!" (Except really it's not a "misunderstanding" in FengMi's case, now is it? )

Fsf is such a gentleman...it's no wonder his female costars have such nice things to say about him. I just watched the lux video without understanding a single word except for yvonne! Lol...it was nicely shot but so cheesey. Yh and ym look great together...very compatible and a good looking couple.

Well you are not the only one blinded by the GeMi chemistry in LZ hehe... ^_^ Really I am pretty impressed by them in that series considering they both only had minimal acting experience prior to it.

I really think we just have to be patient, it's just a matter of time before CCTV broadcasts those series--being the "official" TV station, CCTV often has a lot more restrictions and have to consider a lot more factors when deciding about which dramas to air compared to other stations (which basically only consider what will give them the most profits/ratings etc; CCTV sort of "speaks" for the government so they have to make sure they air things that do not disrespect history, promote good values, etc). I don't really watch CCTV but from reading the Baidu forums it sounds like CCTV quite likes Yang Mi--not only are they shameless FengMi shippers (like I've mentioned several times before!) but they also often do favourable news reports about her. (I think YM has a lot of the qualities that CCTV wants to promote: hardworking, overcoming obstacles, optimistic, humble/modest, honest, loyal to her friends, values family highly, etc.)

So unlike other TV stations (which have been repeatedly airing Gong, MRXJ, JCSS, etc in the past few months to garner ratings), I don't think CCTV is in a rush to air her series to "cash in" on her current popularity because ratings are just secondary to them. (Their POV is probably similar to Hua Pi 2's producer's view.) Though honestly the media attention on YM is a bit too crazy right now--it makes some people feel that she is too "attention-seeking" despite the fact that it's really due to the reporters who focus the attention on her. e.g. during the JCSS press conference, I read an article saying the reporters basically spent all the time asking YM questions not related to JCSS, making it rather awkward for her and the other actors. Zhou Jie at one point joked: "Yang Mi you are really too popular right now! Before you arrived, all the reporters kept asking me only questions about the rumours surrounding you!!" I also remember at the HFCQ conference, the reporters kept asking FSF/YM questions about their relationship etc; both of them clearly started to get a bit uncomfortable, with FSF even saying, "we are at the HFCQ conference, let's talk more about the series", yet the reporters didn't seem to listen and just kept hounding them with the other random questions.

Haha, totally cheesy effects but i love YM with HG in that series. Their chemistry was great in Liao Zhai. I don't know how many times i watched that one story with the two of them. What about some BTS for Liao Zhai? I only saw some pics here and there but it'd be great to see more.

I was excited when they teamed up again in CP3. It was like a dream come true. LOL. Hope one day they'll be able to do it again since i enjoy watching them onscreen together. Some more YM/HG focused pics would be great but yeah, in general, that whole CP3 cast was fun to watch.

I wouldn't mind YM/Wallace either. Though with YM's focus on movies now I dunno if this is likely...Meanwhile my GeMi hopes have also now gone from TV series to movies since it seems highly unlikely they'll ever collaborate in a TV series again--but if HG participates in more movies in the future perhaps we have a chance of seeing GeMi on the big screen?? XD

I don't even think I've seen BTS pics from LiaoZhai! Care to share? I guess back then TR was not as popular so there wasn't really many people interested in seeing BTS stuff of it, so no point in releasing it (if there even is much BTS that exists). Too bad...although I don't think HG/YM were very familiar back then anyways--it was probably a very short collab and TR had to focus on 6 different stories so it was probably more of a "hurried" production. (On a side note...I was surprised to realize how terrible HG's teeth were back then, lol! They were all crooked in LiaoZhai...didn't detract from his handsomeness though. ^_^ He must've gotten braces after that.)

I probably haven't seen all the news about it but I've seen LSS reply that she hasn't watched Gong (so doesn't know how it is), and Gong vs BBJX are quite different (in terms of storyline/style/feel etc) so there really isn't any point in comparing the two. She also says she is good friends with YM but they never discussed their characters since the two series are quite different. Overall a very polite and "neutral" comment, but I don't expect anything more because no way would Karen ever allow LSS to offer any compliments or support to Gong! So unfortunately I think LSS is pretty restricted in terms of what she can say when it comes to YM. (There was also a report that said LSS replied she would not "chao fei wen" i.e. purposefully stir up rumours the way YM/FSF did for Gong to promote the series...it angered a lot of YM fans since "chao fei wen" has a very negative connotation. However, I think this was probably the media taking her words the wrong way or purposefully asking her the question to set a "trap", since I can't imagine LSS saying that the way the article made it out to be. It's actually a bit sad--from what I've seen in the Baidu forums, a lot of YM fans dislike LSS and a lot of LSS fans dislike YM--probably a direct result of the rift that occurred between YM/TR. Even though the two girls themselves are good friends! e.g. when YM wished LSS happy bday, apparently a lot of LSS fans commented on it accusing YM of not being genuine; similarly when LSS wished YM happy bday, a lot of YM fans took it that LSS was just "using" the opportunity to get more popular/promote BBJX. Yeesh, is it really that hard to believe they're just 2 girls who simply want to send each other well-wishes on their bday??? >_<)

Note: the video above also mentions the "identical outfit" incident I mentioned before. Just read that apparently, both YM and the other HK actress who wore the dress said the outfits were actually provided to them by the company who hosted the event (I think it's a clothing brand company.) Some people suspect the company purposefully did this to generate media attention, lol. (If so, they were pretty successful in getting people to talk about their dress!) Actually it seems that many of YM's outfits at these type of events are not picked herself--e.g. at the JCSS conference seems like all the actresses were just given outfits to wear as well (maybe it's more common practice in China to do this). A few of the outfits YM wore to events were also from previous photoshoots she did...not sure if it was just because she liked them a lot herself or if she was asked to wear them.

I find that so sad, because I love both LSS and YM, and I really wish they could all openly support each other and interact, and the thing about their fans is super sad as well. They're both such beautiful, hardworking, likeable girls, I hate the accusations. But LSS still has TR's protection, and I feel like things are a lot harsher for YM.
