Ok, I can't hold this in any longer--I didn't want to jinx this since there hasn't been an official announcement yet, so I wasn't sure if it was just a rumour again, but YM's fanclub weibo has just made a post about this and they are always very good about posting real news (including being one of the first to know that YM was attending Milan fashion week and that she would not be in TFZ)...so I feel like there is enough of a basis to share this with you guys now, but still take this with a grain of salt...

Apparently YM's next movie project is a collaboration with NICHOLAS TSE and yes they are supposedly playing a couple!!!! *hyperventilates* It sounds like a police thiller-type movie set in Min Guo period, YM is playing a bar/nightclub singer (maybe similar to her character in "Jing Cheng Si Shao"?), Nic is playing a hitman of some sorts. Sean Lau will also be in the film, supposedly playing a policeman. It's called 消失的子弹 (Xiao Shi De Zi Dan, i.e. "Disappearing Bullets"), will start filming next month in November.

I don't know if this is a big-budget or high-quality series, or if YM will be getting a meaty role (it does sound like she is the lead female, but the movie is probably more focused on the guys) but I almost don't care because, HELLO, YM/Nic Tse!!!! I nearly screamed out loud when I read this and it kind of made up for the news about "Ting Feng Zhe". Excuse me while I go run around and squee some more about a Yang Mi/Nic Tse pairing...(if this doesn't turn out to be true I'm going to cry because I am so hyped up right now for this other onscreen "FengMi" pairing, LOL). It's actually quite funny and ironic that YM's fans are called "MiFeng" (bees) while Nic's fans are the exact same characters flipped "FengMi" (honey)...so this movie will attract both the bees and the honey.

Any thread or place for me to spazz on fengmi btw? hahaha cause i don't wanna be spamming yangmi or fsf's thread with fengmi love.

Heheh...well, I have been taking turns spazzing in YM's thread, FSF's thread, Gong thread, and MingYun thread depending on the news so take your pick. XD Perhaps MingYun thread is a best bet right now since it's airing currently...I might have to go over there to do a bit of FengMi fangirling myself right now thanks to FSF's latest weibo post. ^_^

if that is real then that is awesome news! i love sean lau. it's not bad giving up a supporting role with tony leung and zhou xun to work with your idol and with another great actor...plus, she gets to lead in this movie.

Yup...I know Yang Mi really wanted to work with Tony (she mentioned before that he was one of the actors she'd love to collaborate with and expressed her excitement at the press conference) so TFZ must be a big disappointment...but if she gets to work with Nic it will probably make up for it a bit! I'm sure she would've loved to do both of course but we can't be too greedy I guess! Though, on the bright side, hopefully this will give YM a chance to rest. I think TFZ and DWD were both scheduled for filming at around the same time (both start soon), so she would've had to fly back and forth between the two sets. Now she can just focus solely on DWD this month! (Even if YM herself probably would've preferred doing the whole "filming 2 movies at the same time" thing again, I'm seriously getting worried for her health if she keeps getting this little sleep all the time...)

Note that this is a post by someone in the entertainment business, but who is not actually involved with the production of this movie. Perhaps a lot of people asked him about the movie, so basically he's saying, he's heard insiders talk about this project as well but he cannot be certain of it until official news is released. In other words, it seems the likelihood is high but as he does not have any inside info himself, he doesn't want to take responsibility if the news turns out to be false.

Nothing really new that we didn't know before. I would say, this project is not 100% right now (I mean, look at TFZ--even after the official announcement came out they changed the role on Yang Mi so nothing is 100% until they start filming). However, there is a lot more truth to this than the many other rumours I read about all the time; it sounds pretty much set but everyone is just awaiting the official confirmation from the movie producers right now.

The costumes and scenery in here look really beautiful (probably the best I've seen so far in a Yu Zheng series). I'm still debating whether I want to watch the whole thing though...considering the storyline doesn't appeal to me, nor does any of the actors in the first half.

Btw, the song is nice, but is it just me or does it kinda resemble the LOCH 08 theme song that Hu Ge sang? (Speaking of which, I totally had a dream last night that YM, HG, and YH were collaborating in a series together again, LOL. Yes, I was disappointed when I woke up... )

I know, she has these perfect crescent-moon eyes when she smiles that are so pretty! I like the contrast of her melancholy eyes vs the happy/bubbly eyes in the 2nd and 3rd pics too. XD

Looks like Yang Mi has joined filming for "Da Wudang" because look what we just got!!! One of the first looks at costume fitting for this movie.
