(The first song from the album, "yi xiang ji", is also available for listen here: http://video.sina.com.cn/v/b/67527450-1650488005.html...unfortunately it sounds like one of those super chipper bubblegum pop-ish Asian songs that really get on my nerves but also manage to be pretty catchy. >_< I guess her singing voice does have that super cute/sweet sound so maybe the company felt it was more suitable for these kinda songs, but I was hoping for something different...well, apparently there are some more sad-sounding/serious songs on the album too so hopefully there will be some variety at least.)

I am going to be seriously disappointed now if Yang Mi doesn't eventually do a "Casino Royale"-esque movie. (Too bad I don't think I've seen many Chinese movies done in that style... )

Just subbed & uploaded first set of 3 news reports on the FengMi "I Do"/"HMY" promo events, --lots more video to come later with more detailed/full coverage on the events but these 3 provide a good overview of it:




(Also I'm just going to do a bit of shameless advertising for FSF's movie too and say everyone should go watch it. The movie has great scenery/sets/costumes and nice fights. The first hour is only mediocre and I hate how they way overused flashbacks but the story really picks up once it gets to the actual "Hong Men Yan" event...FSF was very good in it. ^_^ Quite a departure from history in several aspects but still very enjoyable! LOL! I am not amazed because Tong Li Ya has always struck me as being like a skeleton. Her face is attractive but being skeletal...not so much. Chubbier Yang Mi is cuter with more vitality to her looks.

I agree, TLY is all skin and bones...she is now top of my list on actresses that need more meat on them! Used to be Yang Mi but I think this year she's gained a lot more weight (to a more normal range)...it's especially apparent on her arms (which used to be sticks and now are much more normal) and her face (which used to be really gaunt but again, now she's getting a bit of her chubby cheeks back ). Her legs are still stick thin though and her waist is tiny, but I guess she just doesn't gain weight in those areas? I definitely haven't complained about her weight in the past few months though (a good thing because at one point I remember every other post in this thread we were complaining how she was too skinny, lol!).

Even though I found it annoyingly "bubblegum pop" at first...now it's getting stuck in my head. x_x The lyrics are pretty cute though. Hilariously while posting about her new song on her weibo, the lyric she used was the line about getting married bwahaha. Well what else is new...?

YM's new song is unsurprisingly disappointing. In fact, it's worse than some of the other songs she's sung before...the beat is boring, unmemorable melody etc. As much as I love YM as an actress, I still stand by my opinion that she's simply not cut out for singing. She has too flat a voice and sounds like she's squeaking/ there's something stuck in her throat whenever she tries to sing a higher note.
