Hmmm....unless Anhui changed the sequence of the awards being presented from the actual award show and the broadcast one, in the broadcast show, YM's award was actually presented before HG got his award and sang the themesong for BBJX (the broadcast show). So, he should still be there when she got her award and them showing GeMi's picture. But what I noticed when watching the show was that they randomly show the face of stars in the audience whether they're watching the current performance or not. If you watched a lot of fancam and the actual broadcast show, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Not sure then but perhaps they did change the order of the broadcast? Anyways I've definitely heard how they cut to various celebs' faces during performances even though timing-wise it didn't take place at the same time, haha...

So...2011 has come to an end! It was definitely a big year for YM--if I recall correctly, her projects included: 5 dramas + 7 movies + 1 album. (Although of course she only had a minor role/cameo in some.)

What can we expect from her in 2012? Well, we don't know anything yet about what projects she has lined up ("Vanishing Bullet" continues filming throughout most of January but no news after that). I'm just hoping for some more good-quality projects and not so crazy a schedule as the past year!

In the meantime, a lot of her hard work is definitely paying off because it sounds like we'll get to see a lot of her stuff onscreen this month:


Dramas: (Nothing is 100% till it's aired, but here are the reports so far...)

- Zhejiang TV will be broadcasting "Beijing Love Story" (personally what I'm looking forward to most!)
- Gansu TV will be broadcasting "We Are Family" (one of YM's older modern-day dramas, filmed beginning of 2010 I believe; has previously aired on smaller local channels)
- Hebei TV will be broadcasting "Hong Wu Da An" (also filmed beginning of 2010, and aired previously on local channels)
- TengXun reported that they will be broadcasting "Gong 2" online during the Chinese New Year period (i.e. end of Jan), don't know about on TV...

Movies: (both to be released in the Chinese New Year period)

- the HK comedy "Ba Xing Bao Xi" (i.e. "Eight Happiness"...or, from the poster below, looks like the English title is "All's Well Ends Well"??)
- the touching TW movie "Perfect Two"

YM is also attending a promo event for "Love in the Buff" so perhaps that will be released soon as well? Lots of other events lined up and apparently she's going out of the country again in the next few days (to do filming for a new ad/commercial?). And finally, Yang Mi's album will be released in January so she is expected to make a few appearances to promote it.

It's actually pretty cool, not only do they have a group of backup dancers (with some pretty horrendous costumes might I add), but they also have a "water ballet" i.e. synchonized swimming performance going on.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know it was available in North America! And the price is not too bad...hmm...ok lemme know if it does come with posters--her photoshoot for the album are all so gorgeous that might make it worth it. ^_^ (I can't believe I am actually considering buying this, when I have never bought an album before. Lol. And especially when I will probably only play like 3 songs from it. But like I mentioned before, YM works so hard all the time and has gone through so much I feel like I can't help but support her...but I can't really contribute to her TV ratings or movie box office figures over here... >_<)

What, did you get it already?? I saw this pic posted by someone and thought, "O_o is that calender included with the album??" I noticed on yesasia there are 2 editions, the regular and the pre-order version which is $2 more, does only the pre-order version come with the calendar? (I love the font/styling of the calender, it's so bright/cheerful/fun. ) Ok now I'm tempted...

In the meantime her third MV has been released and YAY!!! it is for "Porcupine Hug". ^_^ Excellent choice (since that is my favourite and one of the only ones worth listening to IMO, lol... ).

(Waiting for someone to upload to Youtube soon... XD) Like the rest of her album-related stuff she looks gorgeous in the MV...completely opposite to the super happy/bubbly "Yi Xiang Ji" MV, this one has a very sad theme but is also very nicely made (except for some slightly wonky camerawork at the end... >_<) The MV makes the song more meaningful too! Seems like it was filmed same time as the "Hai Guo De Qu" MV since some shots are identical...

This is the one that has Hawick Lau! Ok, so I admit I wasn't sure about Hawick/YM before (not to mention pretty annoyed at the ridiculous rumours ), so I started off this vid wishing they starred someone else (*ahem*) and also wondering what the heck is going on with Hawick's haircut (it looks like FSF's when he had to shave the sides of his head for his Gong 2 cameo, I have no idea why Hawick has this awful haircut?)...but, by the middle of the video they kinda won me over, "WeiMi" look pretty good together onscreen. (Well I am kinda a sucker for scenes where the guy pulls the girl in for a hug, lol. Actually kinda reminds me of that YH/YM hug in their Lux commercial except this one is more poignant.)

Looking forward to "Ru Yi" now! Hawick really doesn't look 12 years older than Yang Mi, he's aged very well!
