(It's sort of a running joke that YM "eats grass" since she's practically vegetarian. Actually it was started by FSF saying she "eats grass", lol, then YM said it herself and TV shows like to run with it too. )

I've realized that whenever she gets well rested and gains some weight on her face, it goes back to looking more like her old face shape and is comfortable to look it despite her lack of prominent jaw now. I guess weight means a lot! She's so pretty with Vic Zhou, I'd ship them

Yeah it's weird that YM is the one doing so much promo with Vic and Shawn for these movies when she isn't really the main lady actually paired with them. Not that I'm complaining since the stuff is cute! (Well, I think Miriam Yeung is pregnant so that explains the LITB promo...and I guess Ella was doing most of the TW side promo for Perfect Two while YM was doing mainlaind/HK?)

Anyways, another pic of Shawn/YM in Timeout magazine...we'll probably get more stuff with them in March. ^_^ (I really like Timeout's photoshoots for some reason, even though they're very simplistic...but they sort of have this cute, quirky feel to them! And I like their outfit/prop choices. They're the same ones who did FSF's Christmas photoshoot.)

Apparently Yang Mi was shooting a commercial for Pepsi yesterday with several Olympic gold medallists. Even though I don't like Pepsi, I'm looking forward to it since I remember Pepsi always has some really cool commercials with Asian celebs.

i agree. ym looks great in the time out photoshoot...very elegant and classy. and that skirt makes her legs look sooo long.

the more i look at vic and ym together, the more i ship them. they make a VERY great looking pair. too bad vic doesn't do wuxia, does he? or else it'll be great to see him co-star with ym in another movie/series...ancient setting of course.

Yeah, I know...and I find it extremely unfortunate for him that he will probably have to shave his head again soon for "Night of Spring". He definitely looks way better with a nice full head of hair. (Of course, that goes for most actors. But there seems to be a bigger difference with Hawick between his handsome "with-hair" look vs. his awful bald/nearly bald look...)

Wow, could not recognize Hawick at all with that hair/look. I actually thought it was Bowie Lam at first glance. YM's looking good- glowing & refreshed- as of late! Just found out not too long ago that YZ's filming a new XAJH (that's how out of date I am now) with Wallace Huo as LHC. Any chance that YM will be considered for RYY? I've been yearning to see her work opposite Wallace since they're pretty close friends in real life & I think they'll look super good together!

i heard that the above post is not very reliable so we still have hope that yss is not ryy. or else there will be an uproar as that will be the worst ryy to date.

sunnysnow- i (and many people in the sod thread) would love for ym to be ryy but things are not looking peachy. ym is now a movie star now and doesn't seem to care about series anymore. also, at the rate yz keeps on changing certain aspects of sod, i may not even want to watch it. i don't think anything can be as bad as richie ren's version, but yz is just as bad as ypp when it comes to changing plots.

if ym does get cast as ryy, at least i'll have costume fittings to look forward to. but i really doubt this will ever happen now.

Yup--current situation is, YSS is not reliably confirmed as RYY but YM is very unlikely to be cast...obviously I'd love to see YM as RYY and opposite Wallace too, but not at all expecting it.


Here's a pic from YM's Pepsi commercial--the one where she is a flight attendant and also involves several Olympic athletes. She's with He Chong here--Chinese diver, Olympic gold medallist. (Lucky Yang Mi--she's gotten to meet so many famous athletes! Off the top of my head I remember pics of her with Liu Xiang and Yao Ming, probably sometime after the 2008 Olympics, and she also got to collaborate with Tian Liang in that one movie. Not sure yet who else is involved in this commercial...)

Mango, have you watched any of Yang Mi's recent movies? To be very honest, I'd rather she does a good TV series than take any movie offer without serious consideration. Hua Pi 2 isn't out yet, so maybe I have yet to make a good judgment. But I've watched All's Well That Ends Well and the money-spinning Mysterious Island...errr...I didn't like her in them. I actually prefer to watch her in TV series.

Maybe when it comes to movies, it's a different ball game. I loved HXM in Shanghai Bund but I didn't like him in any of his movies. Also much prefer Hu Ge in his TV series than his movies. But for Eddie Peng, I became a big fan of his when I saw his movies rather than his TV series.

So far, I don't like Yang Mi in her movies. Hopefully Hua Pi 2 will change that.

I honestly don't watch any of her movies so far, because I didn't like any of the premises themselves. I AM excited for Hua Pi 2, and I plan on watching Beijing Love Story, but she hasn't really had many good movie projects to show off her skill or get excited about. I'm hoping that will change though

Nope, I answered this a few pages back but the gist of it was, like snowyjasmine, none of the movies really interest me so I haven't bothered (also two of them are horror movies so that's not happening! ). The only one (that's out right now) I'm kinda interested in is "Perfect Two". For now, there are still a lot of her series I haven't watched yet so those are higher up on my list. Maybe once I finish that list I'll start on the movies! (The only "movie" I watched of YM was "Beijing Fairytale" with Yan Kuan, which I did enjoy, but doesn't really count since it's a TV movie.)

I will probably check out her summer movies though! Especially HP2 (for SURE!!!), Vanishing Bullet (YM/Nic Tse = ), and I guess Da Wudang (just to check out her hopefully-improved-kungfu skills).

Press conference where they reveal the official posters in a few hours! Hopefully the effect is better than the way costume/makeup looks in the candids we've gotten so far.

I wonder who's attending...apparently both Vicki and Zhou Xun (supposedly in Paris) cannot make it; I've heard rumours that YM and FSF will attend but nothing confirmed. I'm more excited about just getting the posters of course, but I am quite curious how they will act in their first appearance together since the Jan. 08 reveal...will they totally ignore each other, or be more awkward, or still be friendly??? Hmm...Yang Mi has pretty much competely avoided the FSF topic (basically saying "next question" whenever she's asked). Though it is pretty much a lose-lose situation here with the FengMi fans--if she acts too cold they will condemn her for it and say she was just putting on an act before, if she still acts friendly they will say she shouldn't be doing that when she already has a boyfriend. It'll be a delicate balancing act...I'm quite curious to see how it will all go down!! Or, perhaps one or both won't even be at the press conference so we'll have to wait a bit more.
