Is FSF openly declaring his disappointment that YM is already attached? I can't discern whether it's real or is he just kidding because he and YM (YM especially) look really awkward together. YM looks positively embarrassed, awkward and refuses to answer any of the questions about her relationship with FSF posed by the reporters which is so not like her. She's usually super cool, calm and composed and provides decent answers even to the most sensitive questions. She also seems somewhat annoyed by Chen Kun's constant teasing towards the end.

^ Lol, that was hilariously...awkward. I can't believe the reporters actually brought up that topic. (And Chen Kun kept egging them on. ) FSF was half-jokingly saying he felt "wei qu" because everyone, including HP2's director, swamped him with text messages/calls comforting him/asking if he was ok after YM announced her relationship, lmao...i.e. I guess they expected him to be really disappointed. So FSF said, everyone please stop sending me these messages, it's awkward and embarrassing, lol. YM doesn't say anything (which is how she's been treating the whole issue so far), but yeah she does seem a bit uncharacteristically embarrassed.

Before I go I'll post up the official posters. Of note, people pointed out it's interesting that FSF/CK share the same background, Fei Xiang/Chen Ting Jia share the same background (well they are both evil so makes sense), Vicki/ZX have a similar one, and YM's is different.

I like how they make the colour schemes symmetrical though:

I love the overall feel of the poster, and the costume seems slightly better than in the candids...but the photoshop seems really wonky in her face. Can't really make sense of her expression either...it seems semi-angry, semi-wicked, semi-indignant, semi-righteous...??? My favourite poster is definitely Vicki's (she looks a bit like GYY though in here!), but I love ZX's as well. Actually my least favourite are probably YM and FSF's!

I like the solar eclipse in a few of the backgrounds--I remember in an initial synopsis, it was mentioned that during the solar eclipse everything "flips" so the spirits/demons can sort of "cross over". Seems like an interesting concept!

Those posters of Hua Pi 2 are awesome!!!! It has most of the casts I like. This seems a movie looking forward to!

I agree that the HuaPi2 posters are pretty good, fits the whole thriller/supernatural theme. Although YM's getup is obviously not as eye-catching as Vicki's or Zhou Xun' (as expected), I think she still looks pretty decent, like a spunky tribal kinda girl. Hopefully her character & screen time is not the blink-and-you-miss type of supporting guest role. Even if YM's not in the movie, I'll still watch it for the strong lead cast (esp. Zhou Xun) so YM being in the movie is a huge bonus for me! Sorry all FSF fans but he doesn't look good at all in the poster. Is his character supposed to be a comical one? Because it does look that way in the poster.

to me, YM's outfit and hair style look fine (well not so much on the hair) but the thing that bothers me is probably her makeup. It basically de-featured her beautiful features

Hilariously, people are referring to YM's character as "Angry Bird"... (Because she's playing a bird spirit/demon and she looks kinda mad in the pic... ) Anyways I'm more excited for her other costume in the movie--her actual "bird spirit" costume. We've seen this yellow-orange one a lot but only got a glimpse of the white one (where she was all covered up and we could only see her sleeve, which was white and feathered). There was also a concept art that everyone generally agrees is YM's character, with the white feathers dress. I think maybe the photoshop in the poster messed with her features. I think she'd look better in the actual movie. Here's a BTS photo someone posted up:

I actually saw someone say FSF's character is more "comical", however I dunno if this actually came up in the press conference or if it's speculation based on his poster, lmao...

Her character is called "Que'er" (kind of a "typical" bird name ). Apparently she is a "yao (demon) still-in-training" (i.e. not a very powerful one yet) but still strong enough to kick around FSF's demon-hunter character around, rofl... The director gave her 2 birds before filming to let her observe how birds should act. (I remember her dad said they have 4 pet birds at home, I wonder if 2 of them were gifts from the director? And was a third that "ba ge" from the MingYun set? Hmm... XD)
