i don't know...lyf is photogenic, and she looks better in pics than on screen.

the only reason why people think yang mi looks too happy/bubbly to be sln is because she smiles in pretty much most of the pics we've seen her in. several people have commented that shui ling would have been perfect for the role of sln and here we have yang mi, a younger and definitely more youthful looking (compared to shui ling at the same age, yang mi does have a more youthful appearance) shui ling. yes, i agree with most that she resembles shui ling.

also, yang mi's eyes really captivate me and she certainly has the potential to look tragic...it's all in her mouth if she doesn't smile. i hope she gets more opportunity...

I still don't agree. I think Yang Mi fits the role as Guo Xiang more than XLN. LYF fits the role more as XLN than Guo Xiang.

hey, that's where we agree...if you've read the ROCH thread i was rooting for gyy as sln the entire time...she's beautiful and can act. anyhow, i need a life...signing off for sure.

thanks for all the pics Lady Zhuge, though this pic above is not a pic of yang mi. i saw it at yangmi's baidu forum and they were saying this singer (above) looked like yang mi. actually i dont think yang mi would really be suitable for XLN, she has a more cute, bubbly look and though she does resemble shui ling, her eyes are not as sad as shui ling's. but i agree with patricia that she does have the potential to look tragic is some series pics i've seen her in, though i think she doesnt have that icy demour XLN's supposed to have, in fact i dont think LYF has that too, the only actress i think can pull that off is GYY.

anyway, yang mi suits the role of GX perfectly in terms of looks, that sweet, adorable, cheeky and bright look is just so GX. now if only they had given her more decent costumes and hairdos...i heard she was actually auditioning for the role of GF but ZJZ also asked her to try out for GX and when he watched her act, he said she had to be GX. in fact, yang mi was one of the 1st or was it the 1st of the cast to be confirmed for a character in ROCH.
