I know reviews for this movie was quite bad but personally I really enjoyed it! Thought it was entertaining, though I have to admit some of the subplots were weird. But the characters are cute too, like Carl (played by David Wenham). Haha...

No I'm asking you are you commenting on Van Helsing because most of the replies from the reviews people liked it. When Van Helsing just came out on cinema the newspaper said it was good. Like I think about 4 stars. If I'm not misunderstanding.....

Here are the reviews I read:

    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/van_helsing/

One thing I liked about the movie was the "Journey to Transylvania" theme.

Hmm... that was my impression of the reviews from local magazines and the internet. Check IMDB.com out too.

Got an average of 5.3/10 on IMDB. That's pretty low...

It's a not so bad movie but it could have been better. There were also some plotholes which aren't filled up.

Agree! This movie is so-so only. The fake part is even tho Kate got chased by the vampires after all the jumping and flying, her make-up and hair still looked so pretty and clean as if she just had her hair done fresh.

Well I think Kate is the best actress at having an action role lol . She's so brave when she jump off the tree there. It must hurt ... Keep in mind that this movie is suppose to be fake with all the vampires lol .

It's kinda hard for fantasy action movies to not have really fake bits.. Like in Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Man, that was bad.
