To tell you the truth, I'm more crazy than you because I'm not chinese but I'm passionated of china! I buy chinese movies because I want to learn chinsese too! So I have over then 200 movies at home ! :P

I have all the movies that you listed plus 2 of his series (aiming high and amzing twins). I'm waiting for the serie Da Ren Wu and Rinsing Flowers and Purifying Swords. Very impatien to see them!

Hmm, the Rinsing Flowers and Purifying Swords series is new to me. I guess i'll have to go check out that thread some time. I think i read something about Gillian being in it. I'm not really a fan of hers. I prefer Charlene over her because Gillian just seems stiff in her acting. But i also heard that Gillian's acting has improved.

And by the way, is there an English title for Da Ren Wu? I just realized that i never saw an English title for that series.

Same as you, I like Nic since I watched the serie The legendary Siblings with Alec and Jimmy. The ending song captured my intention but that time I was young so can not buy his stuff! I only started to buy movies and cds around 2003 or 2004!
That time the movie master q is availabla only in japanese!

Wowsers, you too? What a coincidence. Yeah, i totally fell for that song, 只要為你活一天 (Zhi Yao Wei Ni Huo Yi Tian), too. I found out about Nic that way and have liked him ever since.

this is why i prefer to watch nic's movie and/or series online since i wont have to ask my parents to go out and buy them

I know they usually dub over their voices, for ancient series at least, to get more of a sound consistency.

yep, Nic and Cecilia were good in the Promise... the storyline kind of stunk though so if u really want to watch it, then just watch the parts with them in it cause some of the other stuff is just way to boring

im sry to say, buy i think someone else dubbed nic's voice since his voice in there seemed lower and some people still dont trust him to have really fluent Mandarin.... but then again, i could be wrong

o yea, i just finished the series yesterday.... the ending was sort of sad
well her it is:

TXL dies because the evil girl swapped her baby, and when TXL found her real baby in the evil girl's room, so the evil girl choke her to death
Nic gets so depressed that he sat by TXL's grave for many days until the evil girl finally convinced him to leave, telling him that they found the person who killed TXL...... but the evil girl then tricks him into doing really bad stuff with her and when nic realized, he ran to TXL's ashes and asked for an apology

then, nic and dicky and yan nan tian and two of dicky's godparents were fighting with the evil girl and all of them got killed besides nic and dicky
they decided to go and steal this poison flower to poison the evil girl but when stealing it, Su Ying gets poisoned and dies
finally, at the end, nic and dicky managed to kill the evil girl through poison and the martial art skill skill nic learned that prevented his energy from being sucked

the really sad part was when nic got tortured by all of YiHua Palace's enemies in order to save his masters, i nearly cried during that part
too bad both of them still committed suicide and died

overall, i thought the ending was ok but really sad
the happy thing was that at least nic and dicky and nic's child survived and were living in peace once more
nic's acting was really good in the last 5 episodes

Leanna, normally i try not to read spoilers but i couldn't help myself and read what you wrote about the end for Amazing Twins. I'm in the middle of studying for something that i have coming up soon so no time right now for Amazing Twins. But that should all be over by Wednesday.

Okay, Leanna and liusing, regarding the dvd rip of Master Q 2001. Well, my sister managed to rip most of it but unfortunately her computer froze near the very end. I watched some of it and the audio is very slightly off every now and then but still very watchable. Also, since the computer froze, the last 5-10 minutes were cut off. My sister tried ripping it again but it came out even worse. So i have the avi version of the one that lacks the last 10 minutes or so of the movie. The hard English subs came out okay but like i said, the audio might be a bit off (meaning it might be a bit off-sync) at some points but definitely nothing major. Let me know if you want me to upload this version for you guys to download. With the bad luck my sister is experiencing, i have no idea how long it'll be until we can get a better version.

Also, regarding the last 10 minutes or so that's missing, i'll just go ahead and also upload a version that contains the last 40 minutes or something of the movie. This is the file that came out worse the second time around. There's like pauses in the audio (worse than just being plain off-sync) but at least the subtitles are still going so you're not really missing much. For some weird reason, when she re-ripped the dvd, it split the movie into two files of unequal size and somehow the audio came out worse. So basically, just watch the entire first version and when you get to the part it gets cut off, just open the second version and fast forward to the end so that you can see how it all goes down. Hope that makes sense.

well overall, i thought amazing twins was quite good
there were some funny parts with dicky that had made me laugh and i of course loved all of nic's screentime
the plot was overall somewat good but i thought that they rushed some of the parts like towards the end (for some reason, i thought that all of nic's scenes were quite rushed)
there were also some useless scenes, such as the part where dicky gets poisoned by that Rainbow Poison thingy. The only thing that made that part useful was that YanNanTian got cured... otherwise, the love relationship between dicky and su ying didnt grow and that whole marriage thing was just so stupid
if the director had even out the screentime between dicky and nic, i believe i would have loved this series

also, i didnt favor the ending that much cause i didnt want TXL to die
that was like the most unfair thing out of the whole series
Su Ying shouldnt have died either
if i were the director, id make Su Ying and TXL be alive and have all four of them living happily with their children and niece and nephews in a peaceful and quiet place.... now that is wat i would call a happy ending

The movie is in the original language, Cantonese, and the subtitles are in English. I figure English would definitely cater to everyone. Hehe.

LOL. You're too funny, Leanna. I actually kinda agree with you in that it wouldn't have really bothered me if Dicky died off in the series. Hmm, i wonder if he's ever been in a series where his character gets killed off. Regarding TXL and Nic, i don't think too many people sensed the chemistry between them. To tell you the truth, i thought it was sorta lacking too. Nevertheless, i liked the two of them together and it would've been nice if TXL didn't die at the end either. But hey, i'm just glad to know that she's not even dead yet despite what Nic's evil masters made her do.
