No, i don't speak any Chinese whatsoever. Though i'm used to listening to both Cantonese and Mandarin because of all of these series and movies that i watch but i know that doesn't really count.

I heard about Jade Goddess of Mercy when it first came out but i never watched it. I know that it's pretty sad so maybe that's why i decided not to watch it. Hmm, i'm not sure if i'll ever check it out. I'm still indecisive when it comes to that.

I bought my copy of Dragon Tiger Gate from YesAsia. I don't think that it's been released in the U.S. so i don't think you can buy it here at a regular store. But i'm not exactly sure so you might have to look into it. Or maybe you can go to this one NYC Chinatown store that i usually go to whenever i'm up there. It's a pretty big store with a lot of HK dvds and i would think that Dragon Tiger Gate would be there. They even have a Nic section. I had bought new releases there that were also on YesAsia. Anyway, here's the address for the main store: 210 Canal Street. They also have another store but it's smaller and it's located at 60B Mott Street. The one off of Canal Street has better deals. I'm not sure why the other one off of Mott St. would be more expensive since it's basically the same exact store. By the way, the name of the store is something something something something Music & Gifts (sorry, the name is 4 Chinese characters).

hmmm.... i just finished Master Q 2001
i thought it was really funny
as for the ending... i thought it was pretty bad due to the fact that all the stuff were just reported on the newspaper and u didnt really see any of the stuff happening and i especially didnt like the last scene of nic and cecilia together
still, nic and cecilia were great in here.... the soccer match had like the funniest scenes of them
overall, id think it was a really funny movie with lots of laughters and i was also able to learn a bit of cantonese, hehe

I'm glad both you and liusing find Master Q 2001 entertaining. Yeah, i thought the soccer part was funny too. I liked how one of the Master Q characters kicked the ball out of the way after it was stuck in between Nic and Cecilia's heads and of course that made her "kiss" him. LOL. I wasn't too satisfied either with the ending in regards to Nic and Cecilia. Cecilia recovered her memory first but then when Nic gained his back, i expected their revelation to be a sweeter one. Oh well. Though i did find it quite entertaining to watch Nic chase after Cecilia like that. LOL. Poor girl totally freaked out. I thought it was cute but i guess if i were in her shoes, i probably wouldn't find stalking cute. Hehe.

I hope you're able to obtain your own copy of Dragon Tiger Gate too. By the way, the store that i mentioned has real stuff as opposed to boot leg stuff. At least that's my impression. The boot leg stuff is sold along the sidewalks instead.

yep theres a series called the Jade Goddess of Mercy where TongDaWei and Sun Li acted... i watched it mainly because of Sun LI
compared to the movie, both were really similar in plot
i thought the series was a little bit more sad with the ending and it was also sort of draggy
as for the movie, i was pretty happy to see more familiar actors and actresses and i was glad that nic was the one who portrayed the evil guy cause in the other one, Peter Ho Ren Dong was the one and i dont really favor his acting a lot

buy overall, id think both were great
im also definielty gonna buy Dragon Tiger Gate

There is someone have any news about the serie named ''Wing Chun'' with Rain Li and the movie ''invisible target'' with Jaycee Chan and Jason Wu, both movies are with Nic. Heard that is finish filming for a long time ago but still not release yet. At youtube, I saw the trailer of ''Wing Chun'' since last year, but same as ''Da Ren Wu'' is not release! lol! the episode sounds like something out of the movie. Considering Nic's bad boy image, I'm not suprised of the length and the stunt that he pulled to get a girl's attention. He's quite an eye candy, but unfortunately, I'm not too impressed with his acting skills, at least, not yet!

Firstly, I bought the movie because when I read the review at yesasia, it was confused, so to understand the story, I buy it. First time I saw the movie, since the part where Anxin know that Maojie is the drug-dealer, the movie is so touching (sad), I almost cry since this part, especially at the end!

True, though the main reason i'm indecisive about watching it is because of the storyline. It didn't particularly interest me. I've watched enough sad movies so it's not the major deterrent. Also, in order for me to watch it, i would have to buy it but i don't want to own the movie. Plus, i really don't like to watch streaming videos on youtube, etc. So i guess you can say there are several factors as to why i haven't watched Jade Goddess of Mercy yet.

Like you are indecisive, watching it on youtube may help you to decide to buy it or not and if you don't want to see it all, just having a look at some part may help too! Reading the storyline sometimes doesn't help at all. Like me, the big reason why I didn't buy Master Q at the beggining was because the review wasn't so interestint but when I saw a music video at youtube, I want to buy it but it was no more available. I regret so much! First time I read the JGOM's review I wasn't so interested. I told myself is a kind of story like in Time and Tide (one nightstand relation) that why they have a baby. But after see it, I knew that I've made a mistake! So I didn't regret to bought it!

wait, so u mean nic dubbed over his own voice in the movie, cause in some parts... it didnt sound like his voice at all
yep, there were some really sad part and the series was even sadder cause in the series, it even showed MaoJie killing his own son which was really depressing to watch
hmmm, i didnt really think vicki and nic had good chemistry together... for some reason, it just seems awkward seeing them together and i also really didnt like that other guy (the one who tells the whole story)
