I hope it is not too late to convey my heartiest gratitude to all the translators and editors for their generous effort in bringing this excellent novel to us all that never had the privilege to read it in its original form. Not to forget other readers for their feedback and comment that help encourage and fluorish the thread.

Now, the hardest part is, to look at what my future interest will be. It is quite difficult to find something as interesting as ROCH (I believed it is the best novel from the trilogy).

The translation work is over, but the publishing work has not even started...

Take heart people ... A little word of encouragement from me:

Xfiberfloss, sunnysnow, williamlcb and myself (plus icyfox ... if y'all can persuade him to join us) have some discussion on the LOCH project.

Xfiberfloss was sick (but he is better now). Chapter 12 will be delayed a little bit, but he is determined to finish it up.

Sunnysnow will finish chapter 13, maybe sooner than you think.

I have finished my draft on chapter 14.

William is looking at the feasibility of him doing the chapter 15. If he cannot do it, then I will work on it.

Both xfiberfloss and sunnysnow will continue with chapter 16 & 17. xfiberfloss will start as soon as chapter 12 is finished. sunnysnow will start in April.

(If IcyFox joins our team, he will translate chapter 16, then everybody else will work on 17 and on)

So ... bottomline: check the LOCH thread often. You might find a pleasant surprise there.

Ohhhhh!!!! What a pleasant surprise LOCH is going to be a whole lot more interesting from now on. Now I can look forward to something again, Flying Fox translation is a bit slow and kills the excitement and ROCH is finished so no more thrills in it as it is done, although I think I will read the edited version by James just to make sure I didnt miss any part of the story.

EDIT: Foxes are supposed to hunt in groups, how come the icy one is playing around and not help the pack? j/k Please help them IcyFoxyness

    Moi?

    OK, I'll join the party.

    BUT, 2 things:
    1. I'm writing a major article now, so I can't start translating until March, I think.
    2. I'm gonna be stuck in an army camp soon, so the fastest I can go is probably 1 chapter a month.

If you want me to join maybe I'll start with Chap 20. Expected date of release should be around Mid-April.

No known children. Jin Yong did not say they did, but he didn't say they didn't either.

I wonder if YG had even lost his viginity by the end of the book!

yes they did. In HSDS, the mysterious girl that pops out two times in the novel was their daughter

    Some say granddaughter.
    Some say grand disciple.
Jin Yong did not confirm or deny this.

I'm being conscripted. It's not like I'm dying to get into the army.

It's not so bad ... at least much much better than the three-month no-allowance neither-this-nor-that holiday camp slightly north of the dot above the equator. And guess what? According to the law over here, I'm still liable for conscription!

If it's any consolation to you, my friend, my two cousins who hated it before they went in, came out fine. One got a scholarship and found a spouse; the other got to go to Australia and elsewhere (which he wouldn't have in normal circumstances).

It IS bad. There's a chance you won't be conscripted while I CAN'T get myself out of this.

Just too bad for those waiting for my chapters, I guess.
