IcyFox, you forgot I am Chinese illiterate ... I can only read a handful of characters, not enough for me to comprehend the story.Originally Posted by IcyFox
elfyhead, I am so happy you volunteer. I have started a little bit, with the intention of asking Da Bao to do the editing later on. But if you like, I can send you my work. I think we have time now, since IcyFox is not going to post Chapter 40 in a day or two. Let me know, I can either email or pm you, whichever you like.
I still need somebody to check my translation against the original Chinese, plus I need help with the hanyu pinyin. The advantage for you will be: you don't have to start from scratch.
This is the first paragraph of Chapter 40 I started with:
Early the next morning Guo Jing and the others quietly left Xiang Yang for Mount Hua. They avoided the troops and the people’s festive farewell. They walked slowly since Zhou BuoTong, Lu WuShuang, the Wu Brothers and Shi Sui Yu Yin have not recovered from their injuries. They covered only less than a hundred li’s everyday. By the time they arrived at Mount Hua, those who suffered injuries have recovered.
IcyFox wants to do the first part of Chapter 40, so I thought I'd start with after the battle is over.
