That's funny how you mentioned that about Tae (the main guy with Leila in Xiao Xie) and Jimmy looking similar. Actually, Tae, at certain angles, can really look like Jimmy. They can look so similar that it's kinda unbelievable. It's probably because they have a lot of similar features. Tae and Jimmy were in the sequel to the Legendary Siblings, which I thought was interesting since I think they can pass for brothers based on their looks. Anyway, I saw a clip from Xiao Xie where Tae has a fake mustache and I have to admit for a second I thought it was Jimmy. :-)

Yes, Jimmy is cute...so he can only has limited roles he can play. I can't picture him in a bad guy role..Tae is the opposite.He can be a versatile actor from his look..not sure about his acting skill though.

Tae, I think is a versatile actor, his character is not all the same, in hail of judge, he play an evil character. In evil spirit 05 he play a character that is reponsible but yet bearing so much pain. An in Tian Wai Fei xian, he play a comedy one and in here he play a flirty scholar. I think he really is a good actor because he doesn't stick to one dimensional role but try all of them, his acting is improving since legendary silbing where I think is really bad.

Jimmy has played a villian role before, but it was in a movie. Jimmy has played a variety of roles too. About looks, I think Tae just looks younger than Jimmy(He is younger than Jimmy). However, by the time he gets to Jimmy's age I wonder if he will still look as nice. BUt it is more than looks anyway....

I certainly think Jimmy can act just that looks-wise, though they have some resemblance to each other, I still prefer Tae's looks to Jimmy's.

I prefer Jimmy's looks(ok my opinion is somewhat bias since I am big fan of Jimmy. However, I try to be fair in my judgment too) since his face is fuller. I think Tae's face is too bony. That's just my opinion though...

i've finished Xiao Xie n Xiao Qian. i think Xiao Qian's the better of these 2 stories. The ending's so sad, but beautiful. Xiao Xie'a a bit boring to me. one thing i dislike about Xiao Xie is that it focuses more on that Qiu Rong than the main character Xiao Xie. And the ending.... i hate the fact that Xiao Xie has to take over Qian Qian's body. moreover, dont u think its so sudden...that TAE suddenly says he love Xiao Xie when those 2 rarely have a lot of screentime together.

Agreed. The story of Xiao Qian seems fuller than tt of Xiao Xie. I guess they gave Qiu Rong more screentime or sorta focused more on tt character cause the actress playing it, Huo Si Yan, is a mainland actress, and is more recognized thn Leila in mainland. But in the actual story, Xiao Xie is the main character, i think the part abt Qiu Rong and her past was all made up cause in the actual story, she also falls for Chen Wang San but the latter loves Xiao Xie most or something. But i think they did away with that love triangle since 7episodes is hardly enough time to portray complicated romances of this type. Anyway, though Tae and Leila do have chemistry, i think they're romance was was too rushed and underdeveloped, but hard to blame since they only have screentime for 7episodes, while having to focus on other sub plots too.

i just think Qiu Rong's story is a waste of time n draggy n meaningless. i didnt even feel a thing for her cuz i dont think her past is anything worthy of all the fuss. Xiao Xie would've been quite boring if it werent for that funny taoist. Well, if they really gave Leila less screentime just because she's not a mainland actress, then why chose Leila in the first place? they might as well let Huo Si Yan take on Xiao Xie's role.
Speaking of Xiao Qian, Yang Mi n Hu Ge were great..good chemistry between them. the story's a bit different from the one that starred Da S n Chen Xiao Dong. Yang Mi portrays the role better than Da S, not to mention that she's much prettier. i also find Lao Lao more pleasurable too watch in this version. The part on where Lao Lao n Yan Ci Xia first met each other was funny. i nearly cried a bowl of tears while watching the part where Lao Lao died n gave Yan Ci Xia her sight.

i've just taken the story of "Ah Bao" fom the rental store. Hope this one's not a disappoinbtment like Xiao Xie cuz i'm not really fond of Rainie Yang.
