Wow, you're such a dedicated Annie fan!!! I don't watch ATV series, so I have not seen her elsewhere besides TVB but still, I would watch a bad series with her, because as long as she's there, no matter how bad it is, it wouldn't be the worst. Unless stupid TVB give her something REALLY far away from prominent.

You see, I am an optimistic person (sometimes) but why would you care, let's talk about Annie instead!

Yes... I remembered watching several series of Annie in ATV.. I got to admit that annie's roles in ATV were quite good.. Most of her roles were paired up with Gilbert!! I enjoyed Herione of Yangs and this other one (can't remember name)

Anyway, greenie... Have you watched the TVB Anniversary Yet??? Gosh!!! I really really hope Annie wins!!! Please tell me all about it!!!!

That's true greeniceflower, I agree. I haven't seen Annie in a series for a while, the last one was "Greed Mask." So I guess it wouldn't hurt to watch "Younger Husband," even though she's not the lead. As long as Annie in the series than I wouldn't mind watching it. It would be interesting to see her as a villain. I'm pretty sure she will portray her character well since she a very good actor. Hope the series is intersting though.

I just saw the anniversary show and I'm SOOOOO disappointed because not only did Annie not win anything, but I didn't SEE HER AT ALL!!! At least last year I saw her performing with Michelle Yip and Shirley Yeung...=( I scrolled around the names since I could only read her last name in chinese (which is the first in the characters) and none had "Man" in it...I'm sooo ARGH, sad, and frustrated...I can't believe I couldn't even see her in the anniversary!!

The problem with TVB is that there are so many actors and actresses that many talented people get lost in the crowd and end up being neglected. Annie unfortunately is one of those people lost in the shuffle.

By the way, I am watching Heroine of the Yangs again. Yay! Anyway, Annie looks so cute and fragile in here. I don't think Gilbert Lam looks too old for her in this serial. His character is suppose to be about 10 years older than her character. He is the more mature and worldly one in this love relationship, and this shows in his jaded, cynical, and ruthless nature. That is one of the reasons why he fell so deeply in love with Annie's character, Paifong, who is young and a surprisingly innocent breath of fresh air in his dark and violent world. Besides, I think Yelut Honam (Gilbert's character) NEEDS to carry a more mature presence. A much younger actor would not be able to portray the magnetic and charismatic presence that is essential in making this particular villain shine. That's just my humble (and obsessed) opinion. Hehe.

Gosh.. I feel so after hearing the reesults of TVB Anniversary!! I'm so down!!! I can't believe Annie got nothing and also the winner (Maggie) was actually suprising.. I thought that either Jessica or Kenix might win but oh well... I would prefer Maggie than the others.... I would have prefered Charmaine for PONR!! Oh well... tough luck!!!

Gee!!! We were all anxious to watch TVB Anniversary but now its over... So fast, don't you think??

Umm.. I do remember at previos anni, Annie was shown in one of those dances with Akina Hong and so on.... That's really starnge not seeing her in one scene... Are you sure that Annie wasn't seen????

Yup, I agree with you Melanie that talented actors and actresses get lost in the crowd.

It's just weird when I saw Gilbert in "Greed Mask" and he was Annie's step-father, he looked older than her. Gosh, I didn't even know he was in "Heroine of the Yangs" until someone said he was. He looks so different in "Greed Mask." I don't remember much of "Heroine of the Yangs" so I guess that's why I was thinking that he looked older than Annie. Well, I do remember the reason why I continued on to watch the second part was because of those two. But yeah, I never really like that series, I never finished watching it because it lagged in part 2.

axt: Actually, I LOVE Heroine of the Yangs, mainly because I fell in love with Gilbert's character, Yelut Honam. But I agree with you that part 2 is a bit draggy. I think it is because part 2 has a very unimpressive, haggard, and boring villain. Compared to Gilbert's Yelut Honam in part 1, the villain in part 2 is almost laughable. He is non-threatening and lacks that dangerous, magnetic aura that made Gilbert's character shine in part 1. In addition, the costumes in part 2 are overall not as beautiful as those in part 1. Amy Chan and Gilbert Lam look haggard and old, which is simply ridiculous since these two are among the main cast. I think Annie is the only one in part 2 who still looks fresh, pretty, and young. And poor Gilbert's hair in part 2! Ugh! That poor guy! How could they mutilate his looks like that?! I so badly wished that ATV had kept his suave good looks in part 1. The only thing that kept me going in part 2 is, of course, Annie and Gilbert's romance. Their relationship had ended so suddenly in part 1 that I wanted them to have some sort of closure.

csfan: No, I have not seen Annie in not even ONE single scene... maybe if you rent it one day, you could catch it . She danced with I Michelle Yip and I THINK Shirley Yeung...with the ribbon they were holding..and then they took turns being in the middle...I remember only that part because of Annie

axt: I thought either Maggie or Jessica would win, since Kenix had good performances, but her series weren't really a great production...but I don't know, it's not like King of Yesterday and Tomorrow was a huge one either, but the cast was bigger. At least Jessica won once before, she doesn't need to feel that bad, and she said she's still young!

Melanie: Nope, I have not seen Heroine of the Yangs before, but maybe someday I will rent it, since you're profusely enthusiastic about it , always.

Gosh, like most of you guys I am really dissapointed for Annie not winning anything and like not even getting recognized Its sad to hear that such a great actress has no real promoting and so forth.

Eh, I was really thinking that Jessica would win against Maggie cause it seemed like those two were the ones battling for the win and yeah. Either way I'm happy that Maggie won!!! She's been in so many serise recently, I think whoever didn't know her before does now!!! hehe. Anyways at least Jessica and Roger got the favorite partner drama!! Csfan sis, yup I'm watching about 5 serise right now. They are all from differnt productions and I'm only watching 2 seirse that are TVB productions which are VOH2 and Not Just a Pretty Face. Thinking of re-renting some TVB series though. What are those new seirse you are watching now?

Hehe, Gilbert and Annie did match so well in Heroine of the Yangs 1 and 2. I think they still do match a lot!!! I don't know about modern series, but its a diffinate yes for ancient ones!!!!!

Wow, I have to quote it to reply to all that...lol Still, same goes for me, "Hey everyone!"

I'm so happy that more people are coming in too, let's talk more about Gilbert and Annie to lure Melanie in! Lol just kidding, I have nothing to talk about the two anyway...since I just watch TVB productions. I really dislike dubbed versions of things..as I have said so many times..equally why I dislike TVB telemovies..they dub it so unaligned..sometimes VERY outrageous!

I know, I'm still disappointed, but what's the use, like axt said. TVB should be her manager, so they could treat her well...look at Flora, TVB's her manager...anyway, who knows, maybe Annie likes her life like this...

I'm kind of upset on how they said Maggie gave bad remarks (right, I'm not a fan, but I dislike people accusing others) on Kenix and probably other things, but I watched the anniversary myself and heard nothing of it. I guess I either heard wrong, she said it elsewhere, or the media is trying to create much gossip again. Some people even hated her just because they saw the pictures and had no proof Who knows?

Don't be too happy, it's a high possibility they're changing it and that Louis Koo won't be in there...and it's not just that he provided the picture, he filmed in it too...Hm, did I see Roger in it? I think I just saw him in the poster..but I have bad memory anyway, don't trust me.

Goddess jie, did you click on the link and watch the presentation clip? Because if you did, you would without a doubt know that Louis took part in filming too...lol

Hey Melanie, I agree, Gilbert did look better in the first part of "Heroine of the Yangs."

Wow, goddessofhonour, your watching 5 series at once! If it was me I would get confused. Usually I only watch 1 or 2 at a time. I would get confused and get the story and characters mixed up between the series if I watched more. The most I've ever watched at once was probably 3.

"HH3" look pretty interesting. I like the cast, I hope they keep it like that when it starts filming. Hmm, Maggie Siu looks angry in the picture. Is that Julian Cheung in the second row? It doesn't look like him.

Isn't the thing with Maggie Cheung giving bad remarks rumors? I don't have an opinion on who deserved the favorite actress award. I liked her performance in the "King of Yesterday," she was very funny. I think she is a pretty good actress but she's not really one of my favorites.

recently I've heard a lot of things about Maggie. Somethings are like she was saying that Kenix didn't have represenative skilsl or something like that, didn't turn to look at Jessica when she was congratulating her, made faces at Charmiane during her speech, and etc. I don't know if these things are true, but still. Guess it could be rumors or the truth, don't think we will ever really know the "truth."

Lol, yeah 5 series right now. Don't know how its possible, but I work it out. I think I have a gift for watchign a lot of series and not getting things mixed up and I actually remember things more if I watch more thigns at once. Lol, can I get title as Series Maniac yet? :

I just realize that I have never actually reply to this Annie's thread. Now we are talking about Gilbert here now, huh? No wonder the Gilbert's thread is not updated lately.

I wonder what series Annie is going to be in next? Because I heard that she might star in Healing Hands 3 and other series with Deric and Joyce Tang. I bet that Joyce Tang will be the lead instead of her since TVB tend to favor those who have started with TVB or been with TVB for a long time. I dont mind with Joyce Tang is the lead because she is a good actress also. The chance of being in that Healing Hands 3 is kind of low since the sale presentation is not always accurate.

I have not watch Greed Mask yet. Should I watch it? I don't want to waste my money on a bad series especially the crap TVB is producing those days. Anyway, can someone recommend me a series of Annie in ATV?

Not Herione of the Yangs because I have already watch many times already. Melanie probably beat me to watching it already but I have already watch it before her, I think.

I like Annie and Gilbert together. Espically since they were so well matched for Heroine of the Yangs 1 & 2, but I still perfer Benny Chan with her the most. Gotta have my favorite actor and actress together so its Benny Chan and Annie all the way

I've got no real clue on wht series Annie is going to be in besides Younger Husband. lately heard a lot on her in HH3, but nothing else. Oh a seirs with Deric and Joyce maybe? That would be nice, I don't think I've seen Annie with either of them yet. Right when you mentioned Joyce I knew that Annie wouldn't be a lead. Its just I guess compared to Joyce TVB wouldn't pick Annie for the lead.

Sorta off a little, but do you guys know how many tpaes HH and HH2 has in viet? Planning on renting it, but gotta think on it. Hehe

I thought Greed Mask was okay. The storyline was average and it was sorta enjoyable for me to watch. I just could not stand Christine in the seires however and her with Roger just annoyed me. That could be a big reason for me not saying Greed Mask was great. I think this series will get just a plain 3 stars out of 5. Annie's character and performance is really good. espically since this is a new character to protray then I would totally recommend you seeing her in it

Know what you mean. Lately series are just so bad. ATV series? Lol, I hardly remember much with Annie in them. I think the only one I've sene that has Annie in a rather main is HOTY 1 & 2. Heard the Coincidentally is good though. Oh and I've seen Secret Battles of the Majesty where Annie plays a princess and her role is rather minor though. Wouldn't recommend that so much howeever. Can't quite help on ATV series, sorry there

Around next year's January to Febrary, Patrick Tam will return to TVB and film a 30 episode series, "Teet Min Ging Ying" (Iron Face Hero), along with Deric Wan, Joyce Tang, and Annie Man. The story is mostly about the vigilant force. I obtained this from Annie's Cinple forum from one of the fan. If this is true and confirm, Annie will be in an ancient series which is great because she looks great in an ancient series.
