Lol a lot of tapes huh? Gotta start rethinking then!!!

: The costume was okay. Like Gilbert's Liao outfit and all matched him great. Gave him teh dashing evil look, hehe. Then Annie looked really nice in her green outfit in the second part. Funny how the two switch off having the good costume style...

Oh this is an ancient series? Sounds intersting and it has Patrick in it too. Wonder if they are going to like pair Annie with Deric or someone. I would like to see her with Deric actaully, hehe.

Hey everyone! I couldn't remember all that you said...but goddess jie, no matter how many tapes of HH I...you GOTTA see it! Well, that's just my opinion since I love Ada...and the relationship of Flora, Bowie, Lawrence, William, Steven, and Ada. Of course there's Maggie Siu and Raymond Cho too. Also, I enjoyed the relationhip of Ada and Lawrence the most, of course but I don't really like the second series...didn't like Moses nor Yoyo in there. Anyway...watch it if you want

And YES...of course I'd prefer Louis over anyone else, but I don't know why I don't really enjoy writing about the two of them as much as reading the two (especially by Kay ).

I wouldn't get my hopes high on the series of HH3...since the cast is pretty strong, maybe a bit too strong for Annie to be in it...I wish I wish I wish though...And on the series of Deric and Joyce...Annie most likely isn't going to be lead..who knows if she would even be in it? I kind of lost hope for TVB of ever giving Annie good roles! I can't wait to see her in Younger Husband though, since it's been a while since I've seen her..I think it's been even longer since Greed Mask and the series before that...

she wouldn't have to be like Roger and work for so long to actually get a lead role, right? That'd be really bad, because I don't think she would actually stay in the business for so long...and then, will she renew her contract when it ends? I hope she would get better deals...but I wouldn't know about that for now.

Anyway...I wasn't really answering to what you guys were saying, I was just dropping by to give a comment to my greatest idol ...well, ours hehe

Latta and reply soon, jie jies!

yo there. Nowadays i'm pretty interested in Annie's series, especially since 'Take My Word For It' is airing in Singapore now... I'm just wondering if she'll ever be given lead roles like in "Take my word for it" and "whatever it takes" in future.

Hope so, but competition from newcomers is strong.

Oh, you've read some of the fanfics by Kay too? Like Trusting You with My Love right? Kay is such a great writter!!!!! However, still love her story Mommy and Daddy's Little Angel with Annie adn Benny!!!! lol, I haven't been reading for awhile, must do now!!!!!

Lol, who knows. I think that I wouldn't mind her winning favorite actress award 10 or so years from now!!! Like the saying goes, late is better then never right?

Hello everyone, and welcome, velvet_ice!! Well, I hope so too, and sometimes I do get confused at why people think that she's not lead in Colourful Life..since she definitely is lead there with Frankie

Anyway, good luck on HH I...and/or II? I really enjoyed HH I, gave me many moments I could remember.

I'm watching Triumph in the Skies now! So far so good, gave me some laughs and but sometimes boring. Probably like most TVB series, picks up slow and rushes too much at the end. Who knows (probably you guys)? Did you watch it yet, goddess jie? I'm only up to episode eight, and I probably have to wait a while for this series!

Oh yeah, and I read plenty of Kay's stories. I read a little of Mommy and Daddy's Little Angel (about Ava, right?) but it was really really long and I just gave up on like chapter two that took me some time to read so I gave up on it. But I read Trusting You With My Love, Forbidden Affection (incomplete), a little of DIF V (writing the continual), The Other Soul (really really loved that one..made me a major LA fan), and currently You and Me...so sweet, but she's kind of not updating that one lately

See? I read way too much, no wonder I sound like a total geek ...oh, and I know you read raven's fanfics since when I read her complete ones, I see she was replying to you..I'm sure it's not coincidence ..now hers, I'm a complete fan, I read ALL of it..and her recent ones like Tangles Hearts, Ring of Faith, Young Warriors...enjoyed Fickle Love, and ESPECIALLY the trilogy..at first it made me laugh sooo much, but then the second and third were so sad...just MADE for me, comedy and drama! Love Songs was kind of...weird and sad and I realize I'm talking too much of this..ee!

And Skye's stories? I was sooo into fanfics then...I practically browsed over halfway of the completed fanfics..!! But I had to turn off my computer ONE day...so I lost my place and stopped eventually, hehe and since I had to follow my other fanfics...that's how I found your story, it was really good ! I read plenty good ones, a lot that I could not stand at all but hey, maybe I'll browse through the completed section (and okay okay..others too) one day on winter break or something..or the summer, where I discovered fanfics

Getting wayyyyy off subject, sorry! Latta!

Hmm...from what i understand, it's a drama abt the complaints dept from the police force, so by all means, it shd be a modern series. But, fret not, i thought Annie looked good in Take My Word For It.

I surmise that if TVB has to pick a female lead between Joyce and Annie, it has to be Joyce cos she has been given leading roles recently. However, given that this show stars Deric and Patrick, both of whom are leading actors, this show shd be one with double male leads, double female leads. So...yup, don't worry too much abt it. I believe that as long as u have the talent and u put in hard work, u will achieve success.

Hmm...sure hope that this show materialises. It'll be good to see two wonderful actresses working together.

Hey everyone, hehe, it's pretty funny, but I'm not the webmistress of AnnieMania! How could I brew up such a nice site like that, I don't have that much talent on making sites, hehe. Only thing I could do is writing, so I'll be writing a review (in fact, I'm doing so "right now") for Greed Mask. cussieB is actually the webmistress of the site! I'm just really active in there, hehe!

Hello, janl, I believe that it would be kind of four leads, but I'm sure it wouldn't be equal. Like in TMWFI, even though it's the four main artists, it's pretty specific how they put Kenix and Bobby as the main, and supporting Julian and Annie if you judge it that way. Oh well, as long as there's Annie! I don't know...because Annie might not be acting that long and how could she wait...years to get recognition? Oh well...we'll have to even see if she'd be in the series!

    Anyway, latta, reply soon, everyone!

Aww, you guys are extremely cute in trying to lure me in here with talks about Gilbert and Annie. But you don't need to do that, you know? Because...well, here's my big secret. I am actually first and foremost an Annie fan. I have watched almost all of Annie's works, but have only seen two of Gilbert's (Good Old Days and Heroine of the Yangs). However, Gilbert is indeed my favorite actor. My favorite on screen couple is, of course, Gilbert and Annie.

It's so exciting to hear that Annie will be in a serial with Patrick, Deric, and Joyce, especially since I like all four actors/actresses. I have a feeling Joyce will be the main female lead, though. However, I do hope that Annie will be given a good role, and not one where she pines for the male lead without having her affections returned. I hate those types of roles. So sad and unnecessary! As for HH3, I am still crossing my fingers for Annie! Think of it this way. With her presence in the presentation clip, at least there is SOME hope of her being in the serial. Better than no hope at all.

Velvet_ice, you should definitely watch Colorful Life if you have not yet done so. Annie is so adorable and funny in there. Unfortunately, Frankie was a bit of a disappointment, since he and Annie had almost no chemistry in Colorful Life. And of course, you guessed it, people! I am going to recommend velvet to watch Heroine of the Yangs. It's an ATV production. Normally, I don't watch ATV, but this is one drama that I recommend, especially if you're crazy about Annie. She is so cute and playful in there. No wonder she melts the heart of the ruthless villain!

Finally, I would like to do some shameless advertising for my fanfic. I try to do this as infrequently as possible, but sometimes, I just crave for readers so much, since I spend lots of time writing each chapter. If you like wuxia stories and Annie, please give it a try and let me know how I can improve. The link is in my signature. Thanks for sitting through my boring advertisement.

Yeah, I agree Melanie, Frankie was a disappointment in "Colorful Life." He was so stiff, no chemistry with Annie at all. But Annie's performance was really good in that series. But I didn't like that series at all, was too boring and annoying. Gosh I can't even remember what it was about. I ended up mostly forwarding it, there was just too much bickering between the supporting cast. The series kind of reminded me of "Lady Flower Fist," but it wasn't as good or funny.

It's good to hear that Annie will be starring in another series, hope she will be the lead.

hi greeniceflower! Seen ya in TVBSPACE...my nick was rou. Wonder if ya rmb me?

Well...i can understand and empathise with you guys. Joyce and Annie, both of whom i like are seriously underrated actresses. Joyce is finally given her leading role just recently in Summer Heat co-starring Joe Ma and the now filming, Chicken Soup, co-starring Sunny Chan. I believe she has been in this line for ard 7 years. Despite this, am still worried as to whether TVB will film these shows or leave it in cold storage. At least Annie has had her leading role in Whatever It Takes and somewhat leading roles in The Legendary 4 Aces, A Colourful Life and Take My Word for It. Unlike Miss HKs who are heavily promoted and repeatedly given opportunities by TVB, actresses like Joyce and Annie have to rely on hard work to get to the top. Being fans of them, we always hope that they will get their big break soon but at the same time, we feel unjustified for them. Nonetheless i really believe that they will not disappoint us and earn their big break by their own merit and not shameless promotion.

    They can do it.

i've just bought colourful life's vcd... to be honest, I like Annie's performance, but like axt, i don't like the quarrelling. I get very tired of it sometimes, there was once i even fell asleep in front of the TV while they were arguing over some trivial matter.

however, there are times where the show makes me laugh... and i'm hoping Frankie's character won't be so biased against Annie's character.

Yep, that's it. Other than 'colourful life', I've also watched, or rather, am watching 'Whatever it Takes', 'Take my word for it' and 'the legendary 4 aces'. It was only in 'Take My Word for It' where I started to like Annie Man's acting.

Hey Csfan sis, Chi danganh, film freak, Greenie, axt, Melanie, velvet_ice, janl, and everyone!!!!
Hehehe, see the name list is increasing by two or three now!!!!!

Greenie sis!!!!! hehe, seems like we enjoy reading from many of the same authors!!! Yup Mommy and Daddy's Little Angel is on Benny and Annie's little daughter Ava. I really enjoyed that fan fic and it is long!!! lol, I'm not even sure if I finished it up yet!!! I have not yet read her fan fic Forbidden Affection! Hmm...if I remember clearly there was another fanfic I read of Kays...can't remember.

Lol, I used to love reading fan fics, but like a year ago I stopped since everything got so busy. I think I might just restart again!!!!! Oh yes, Raven is a great writter also!!!!!! I love her stories, read so many I dont' know where to start!!!!! I actually haven't read any recent ones of hers since you know I stopped reading, but I've read many of her older fanfics and they are all good!!!!!

Oh gosh, don't get me started on Skye's stories!!!! I loved practically every single one she wrote!!! I think she was one of my favorite writters at the whole wingling place. Hehe, these three here are my top favorites to read and there are a lot of others too!!!

Hehe, I remember that I did get to know a lot of the writters and yup, I commented and they replied back. Hehe, it was fun to do. Also I met sooooo many friends there that practically whenever I popped on AIM before they would all IM me!!! Gosh, lost contact with all of those guys though Must hurry and talk to them again!!! Hehe, we have lots in common. Finding out more and more of that now!!!

Lol Melanie!!! Of course you've gotta recommend Heroine of the Yangs for Annie and Gilbert fans to watch!!! Hmmm....I actually thought Colourful Life was rather good. It was short sweet and simple. Frankie did okay and I thought Annie was great. Of course Lol, I'm easily pleased Gotta run, but chat with everyone again next time. Take care all!!!!!

Hey everyone! I'll try to reply to all that, hehe, but I KNOW I'll miss at least one thing!

Melanie, yay, you're here! I know you're a fan of Annie anyway, just that you don't usually come and discuss with us . I pretty much forgot what you said, sorry..hehe

Hi, janl, I remember you, in the TVB Space News Roundup! Nice to meet you! And velvet_ice, I really do just judge Annie's acting more than the poor characters they give her. Annie always shows more love to who she loves more than the other! That's not fair, but oh well, hehe

Colorful Life was an okay thing...you don't like the arguing, but it's the opposite for me. The series I love most need to have at least ONE of the things:
    -Depression...crying (I know I'm a devil )
    -Witty comebacks
-Good actresses and actors (how could I forget THAT?)
    -Good clothes (no chicken suits..LOL)
-Comedy (I practically laugh at everything anyway..hehe)

The most important is depression, good actresses and actors. The others are ones that don't matter as much...Colorful Life does fit MUCH of them...depression, (well it's not that depressing..not good enough lol) witty comebacks, good actresses and actors, good clothes...and I think comedy.

Anyway...that's my rate for Colorful Life. There's probably more that I want in a series, but those were at the top of my head.

Goddess jie, don't even make me mention fanfics, I LOVEEE THEM! I'm crazy for fanfics...especially raven's her stories are always to eye-catching and I read all of her stories...yep, all of them

Skye's stories, I read Supermodel I and II (II isn't finished and wasn't planned to though), wait, I think I finished all of them, yep, I did that. Hehe, she didn't update ANYTHING for...over 3 months .

Kay is a really really good writer, she's really descriptive in a way...it's just good. That simple. I don't think I read all of her's..not Mommy and Daddy's Little Angel...I really couldn't finish that with such a long story !

I also like CoCo, persephone, (my first fanfic and she's not even done with the story lol) Trinity, (only one completed fanfic in her life) and some of the recent ones...are Bubbles, kim, RoseCrystal...that's probably it. I'm reading less and less fanfics since there aren't that many good ones out there anymore...hehe, so I took up on writing one instead!

Okay, that was long enough, latta! Reply soon!

    hi people,

what do i look for in a good drama... in response to greeniceflower's last post...

    1) Good Acting
This is a MUST. If the story's crap, good acting can save the day.

    2) Romance/Comedy
I'm not a romantic person... but nevertheless ...
Unless the story is well woven, dramas without romance are usually quite dry. Not all, but some. The creators of non-romantic dramas sometimes fail to capture the essence of what could be woven into a interesting but non-romance drama... therefore a boring drama results.

As for comedy, I feel most dramas should have a bit of comedy, no matter how little is it, it at least adds some life into the show. However, I don't really like slapstick comedy... worse still, if lame jokes are cracked... i'll be turned off.

    3) Captivating Plot
This is important as well, but not as important as (1). If the plots good but the actors/actresses fail to portray the characters well, the drama's not for me.

That's all. Of course, who plays as what will somewhat affect me, but not too much. If i don't like this certain artiste and if she is acting in this certain drama... I'll probably be a wee bit biased against her. Natural reaction ..

Now I'll refer Annie Man's dramas (whatever i've watched so far.. just a couple of them) to this critieria...
    a) Colourful Life
colourful life fulfills criteria 1 and 2 very well.. but as for 3.. hmm...

    b) Take my word for it
1 and 2 is covered very well. 3, average only. I sometimes feel that it is sidetracking... isn't it supposed to be focussing on PNC only? 1 thing I find pretty unsatisfying... how come Keren (Annie's character) doesn't really do any negotiating?

    c) Whatever it Takes
I'm still watching this one. 1 is so far pretty well covered, 2... hmm.. not much (yet) but still okay, and finally, 3, so far.. is done very well also.

IMO, Whatever it Takes is done pretty well. What do you guys think?

Gosh Annie's forum has gotten really quiet all of a sudden.

Hi velvet_ice. Yeah, I totally agree with you about the 3 elements that makes a series good.

a.) "Colorful Life" definately fits criteria 1. But I don't know about 2, maybe average. It wasn't that funny, the only funny parts were the scenes with Annie and then Frankie didn't really have much chemistry with Annie. As for 3, I have too agree with you, very lacking in a captivating plot.

b.) "Take My Word For It" fits 1. 2 is average. Some points were funny and some were kind of boring. Romance was okay, wish that they had developed Julian and Annie's relationship better though, was too sudden. 3, I agree, storyline sidetracked and wasn't very interesting.

c.) "Whatever It Takes," this one fits one and 2 is average. It fits the romantic part of 2 but not comedy since it really didn't have much comedy in it. As for 3, I have to disagree storyline was okay but it could have been better so I would rate it as average under criteria 3.

I first saw Annie in Legendary of 4 Aces and liked her acting from that on. She is cute and have a natural way of acting skills unlike other actresses that needs a lot of improvement.

Does anyone knows what is her first TVB series she acted?

I'm not sure what her first series was either, I always thought it was either "Colorful Life" or "Legendary 4 Aces."
