so how was first year highschool for u 2? my exams commin up soon....nooooooo!! highschool is better than i imagined actually. everyone so nice, the seniors esspecially. they'er even nice to a freak to me! haha...i've done so many stupid/wierd things since school started. i have a rep now of being violent/wierd/crazy!! haha......totally me! lol, i went around school waving to total strangers...and they waved back!! i make a lot of new friends that way..haha. o yea...and i held up blank sheets of paper and showed it to peaple saying how nice it is. how its so white and pure...LOL!! the expressions people gave me ssooo funny.

Ahh! It's been so long since I visited! I'm so sorry, it's because of school and stress, yeah yeah yeah...who cares, lol. Now, it's winter break and I finally have the time to give some replies!

Hehe, I've been watching Triumph in the Skies and it's been pretty good I guess...it's getting a bit draggy and sometimes boring. I think it's way too long and the story isn't built for 40 episodes...hm. I think it'd be better if it's Myolie and Ron...it seems to be good, Francis is too boring . No offense to Michelle fans, but her acting has been in the same..and I don't know what's wrong, but the way she talks..she drags it sometimes. Maybe it's her character that's boring me to death lol. The only people that actually make it perky are Myolie and sometimes Ron...hm.

Triumph in the Skies are up to I think episode 28 and still waiting, so we started on Seed of Hope. And then..mannn..do I have to say THIS is boring! maybe I should pay more attention to it though, because I haven't been watching it much, hehe. It's because it's been pretty boring, I'm not very much into Patrick Tam. Kenix is okay, Anne has just gained my respect. Not much going on...just mostly about children and Wayne Lai's character is boring this time. I don't like this series!

Oh yeah, now we're renting Square Pegs again so my sister could watch it and we could record it. Hehe, Roger is still as funny as ever, but I still like Where the Legend Begins more because of Ada . Anyway, winter break has started, so I've been pretty good! I have a lot of time on my hands, so it's all good! Hehe, not much to talk about any though, because I haven't been reading the news or going to any Annie forums except for AnnieMania...but that's because I always go there .

Where's goddess jie, and cs jie gave such a short reply! Everyone come back! I'm here again to discuss about Annie, run to other subjects, and...just mingle! Hehe...

I think that Whatever it Takes is actually pretty funny at the start. But that's because maybe every little thing makes me laugh, I do it too easily! Annie and Benny make it funny..Evergreen too . Tavia has been pretty boring, so I have always thought they should cut the time between them and give more chemistry to Annie and Benny since THEY'RE the main characters ! Oh well...:: The acting of course is great, especially Lo Koon Lan, very evil, man! lol...the plot is OKAY, but the change in history, I have to say, corrupts the whole story. The story history I mean. Oh well...

Take My Word For It is only funny because of Julian...Annie was boring, dull, does nothing at all! I don't find her that good..I mean the role, so I don't have much to talk on this. No chemistry, story, and uninteresting. Overall the series was good, but if you're even a bit picky, it's unacceptable. Especially if you're an Annie fan, you'll be infuriated by the role they gave her...and the acting is just average here. Not very acceptable to me! Needless to say, there are no real plot here...not much of anything. So this series if graded isn't that good...by the three terms.

Colorful Life I have to say have a plot and gives a great lesson in life, although sometimes they just argue, which degrades that part too. I find just sitting there are gossiping just pointless and infuriating, when people talk about others!!! So annoying! But it's nice to see some revenge and antics or tactics to get back at each other. Not much depression..degradable by that part..and WIT, and TMWFI didn't have ENOUGH depression...well, Annie has enough depression . Acting was great, needless to say..but Frankie degraded it a bit here. There were little amateur, just Ellesmere and Myolie, but that's okay, they were cute, lol! Not much comedy, degradable there too...but comedy isn't needed as much, this is pretty much a cheerful series.

I had to add Slim Chances! That's because Annie's acting was great here...although I don't like Fenny Yuen and probably never will like her acting. She practically ruined the series, but thanks to Lydia and her "partner's" (forgot his name) boring parts too. Annie made me watch that series and actually look forward to it. I would have fast forwarded it all if it weren't for my family watching it with me! Anyway...the plot has a good line to it all, about finding jobs, but it didn't get to much at the end. Bad and completely rushed ending..grrr. But funny once again rises it..because of Annie of course! I just love Annie in here!

Anyway, is this long enough after my departure? You guys better reply! I don't want an Annie thread down as long as I'm here!

Oh, and film_freak jie, of course I'm not scared, I'm as very crazy and wacky! Hehe, yep, I'm in eighth grade, but I'm not exactly eager to go to high school. I'll really miss my friends! Oh well... I'm avoiding that subject for now! Hehe, latta!

Amy Kwok in this series plays a child-bride whose husband is played by Bosco Wong. Though she's a married woman, she likes Evergreen also. She expresses that her character is a simple and optimistic "ah shun". It's also Annie Man's first time playing a villian in this series.

The cast of "My husband is young" try on their costume at TVB's new studio. Amy Kwok and Mak Cheung Ching take the lead roles in this series. It seems that TVB is running out of leading actor b/c Mak Bao can become a leading actor, plus the cast is weak, not appealing enough.

Amy Kwok laughs that she is full of age but she's not powerful enough so her age will compensate what's lack of it. Amy says she doesn't have pressure acting with many new actors in this series. Not to mention that there're many actors who have acted for some time such as Mak Bao whose experienced, she's sure that they'll spark chemistry. As of TVB running out of leading actors, Amy says, "I'm not worry b/c ppl will return.(What about your husband, Sean Lau?) He currently has movie contracts, though he likes to shoot tvseries but he won't shooting any for now." Amy didn't sign a full-package deal with TVB and she feels strange walking in the new studio, even almost getting lost. She says it's a new beginning after a year rest.

Mak Bao looks slimmer showing up on the function. He expresses that if his diet fail then he won't have a chance to be a leading actor. So, he asks Cheung Yuk San for help hoping someone will sponsor him. He says he can't diet on his own, and must need someone to help him. And so, he reduces 30lbs of weight in 6 weeks, weighing 163lbs right now. Though pressure exists as a first time leading man, Mak Bao says he'll seize his opportunity b/c afterall he wants to be a leading man after waiting these ten years. So, he must diet.

Annie Man has a breakthrough in this series b/c she's playing a villian, a Ms. "Jerk". So, she'll receive her due by not being able to marry b/c she's a jerk. Annie expresses that she wants to imitate other actors but can't think of anyone who has played this type of role before. So, she hopes to bring a new discovery with her own creative moron.

It's Annie Man's first time playing a villian, a Ms. "jerk" in her career so she finds it challenging and refreshing. She says, "I've played a good person for a long time so I hope to give audience another side of my acting skill. b/c this is a comedy, I don't think I'll be hated that much though I'm a villian since I'm what I eat. However I don't mind if someone calls me "jerk" if I walk on the street someday later."

In order to play this character well, Annie watches many other actors' performances to get some ideas such as Jim Carrey's "Bruce Almighty", but his acting is too exaggerated so it's difficult to play like him. However, she hopes to be the first female version of a jerk.

Yep, you're right, cs jie, hehehe, I've actually seen all of those because of my Annie crazed attempts to find more information of this series . I wonder when it's coming out, I can't wait to see more of Annie!! But anyway, I know she's filming a telemovie and a new wuxia series with Sunny Chan on February. I haven't been catching with the news...hehehe.

The new telemovie will be filmed in January with Karena Lam and Calvin Choi...also Irene Wang. It's called, "Youths Chasing Dreams." I hope it's good!

Yesterday, Annie Man attended an activity about jewelries, and was even awarded with a diamond necklace. Annie said she has already collected four to five diamond necklaces. Annie received her first diamond from her mother, because they once attended a banquet and Annie's mother thought that Annie's black dress was too plain; therefore, she gave Annie her butterfly brooch, which was given by Annie's father as a gift.

Annie Man also said not all diamonds can be accepted. A few years ago, a man gave her a diamond necklace as a birthday gift, but Annie did not have any feelings for him, so she rejected it. Afterwards, when her friends and her were talking about this incidence, they actually said that Annie was so dumb not to accept the necklace! Annie said she already warned her boyfriend not to give her a diamond ring, because this gift should be given by Annie's husband in the future.

Annie said she has the habit of collecting diamond necklaces.

TVB stars including Anne Heung, Bernice Liu, Annie Man, Jay Lau and Pearl Ambassadors Cerina Di Graca and Wong Tin Cheung took part in a press event for TVB's "The World in One Moment at the New Year". TVB will be showing a series of short clips presenting the new year celebrations from twenty cities around the world. As for the original "The World in One Moment" series, it began airing in November 2002 and has revolutionised the presentation of sights and scenes from around the world. Since its release, it has had good reviews, so the cities that are taking part with the filming have been increased to 36, with Hong Kong being the only Asian city chosen where the filming site will be on the top floor of a hotel where the TV signals can be broadcast to many stations around the world.

Annie Man will not be working over Christmas and originally she had planned to join a friend's pyjama party, but with the thought of some people being unruly, it has been changed to just a normal party. Recently she has been busy buying presents and earlier bought six in one go, but after returning home and opening some of them, she decided to keep them instead because she fell in love with them, so she will have to buy some more. When asked what she will be buying for her boyfriend, she says she has not thought about buying him a present, but she is happy to accept anything he buys her!

Annie Man is more fortunate as she will be resting until February when she starts filming a new ancient drama with Sunny Chan.

I'm from Singapore, and am 15 soon going on 16... in my 3rd and also 2nd final year in high school. It's been a grueling year for me, I have not done well for my exams... so I guess I have to make up for it next year. Come 2004 I'll have a major exam... and seriously, I'm starting to feel scared.

No, thank god no... not continuous camping. 3 separate 5 day 4 night camps were enough to kill me.

The first camp I had was way out of the city, and I slept in a tent (self built with some others ). We had lots of activities, like wading through muddy swampy areas of Singapore that were reaching our necks.. it felt like quicksand seriously, and sometimes our shoes got stuck in the mud. Then we tried rock climbing, which is a GREAT experience, by the way. Lots of activities that required our brains, and guts too.

The 2nd camp I slept in a bunk, but the rest of the time was spent outdoors mostly. It was a training camp, I come from an organization called the St. John Ambulance Brigade, it's a uniformed group, something like the girls brigade or the scouts. It's just that we specialise in first aid. We hiked through this place called Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, it's away from the city, and I loved the experience.

The 3rd camp wasn't all that interesting.. so I shan't say much, 'cos I played the role of an instructor and not a participant in that camp.

15 years huh? How does it feel like to be that... I know it's weird for me to ask you but nevermind...

Singapore series... I have not touched them for a LONG time... I'm really distracted by the HK dramas. Anyway, I've watched almost everything since 1997-2002 including:

The Legendary Swordsman

I know it's a short list, I only included those REALLY memorable ones.. i can't remember most of them already. I've not watched Hainan Kopi Tales though.. ask me about another drama and I might just know. I used to watch them alot.. but now.. hehe.. no... not really...

Anyways, when I was in sixth grade the whold grade went to this cabin type place and we spent a week there doing all these activities. It was really fun and this was during the winter so did a lot of winter activities and I had a lot of fun

I dont' know, lately TVB series haven't attracted me much and I've become more attached to Singaporean series, Taiwanese series, Korean series, lol, basically everything else. Oh how was The Legendary Swordsmen? Thats the one with Steve Ma, Jaceyln, Fann, Florence, Chew Chor Meng, and etc right? Planning on renting that maybe sometime.

Gosh, I just finished "Slim Chances" and I am so disappointed. I only watched this series because of Annie but she hardly had any screentime. It's like her roles are getting smaller and smaller. Anyways, I didn't enjoy this series at all, it was boring and pointless. The only parts that were funny was Annie and Kevin, they were really cute together. Also Annie's performance was very good. Just hope in her next series she will get more screentime.

OMG, sorry for having to take so long to actually post in the forum again. Everything's been so hectic, midterms were over, but I was taking my time relaxing during my 4-day weekend...but now, I have to work all over again, more sleepless nights but it's all good, I'll remember to post more today.

I practically skimmed through all the replies (since there were so little..I could tell Annie forum was very quiet) and here are some thoughts:

goddess jie, I HAVE missed you greatly =) and I have not read babybluesnow's fanfics, mind sharing some links lol. Also, Triumph in the Skies would get...a rating of 3/5 from me. First of all, the storyline is VERY draggy, I was mostly bored off my mind when I watched it. What gave it points was Ron's humerous character and Myolie. Kind of wished they ended together (I mentioned that already =P) and glad he didn't end with Michelle, I'm starting to dislike her more and more. I'm starting to dislike Charmaine more also...if I don't see improvment of either of them...they're off to those, "I don't want to see them act" list haha. Charmaine's already on the list though...Flora's about go in there too lol.

*SPOILERS*
Speaking of my dislikeness in Charmaine, I finished Point of No Return (haha) and it was ...one word, WAY WAY WAY VERY TERRIBLE DRAGGY. OMG...I can't explain my hate for this series! First off, Charmaine's acting is still the same, I'm starting to think she tries to act cute by staring with wide eyes...omg, I swear they did every girl's hair badly (Belinda, Belle, omg..their hair..it burns!) just to make Charmaine look glamorous! Also, I HATE her character. So selfish! She wears all those good clothes and their family wears all the rags and dirty clothes. Then, she continuously hurts Julian's feelings...didn't care when his family had the biggest problems, OMG...his father died and she didn't mention one word? Then, when the whole business collapsed, she ignored and eventually without telling Julian, married, went to England. How could someone let go THAT QUICK? And THEN...she has to go and realize that she likes Julian after all...WHAT THE HECK?! And then...she keeps on saying how, "unlucky" she is, how hard it was for her to live. Oh yeah, having two guys fall for you, having nice clothes to wear, having to do nothing but go to school, is UNLUCKY? That girl wants the best, man!

Also, I'm terribly annoyed with Julian's mom...I can't see a more JEALOUS person in my life!! She wants to kill her husband half to death because of her darn jealousy...omg, I can't even believe it.

Also, they dragged Julian and Charmaine's relationship too long...kept on repetitively having the same scenes. Charmaine gives him hope, he tries to work hard, then he's down and Belinda scolds him and says how stupid and immature he is...blah bah blah, all over again. And then...at the end...IS THAT EVEN A FREAKIN ENDING??!?!?!?!?! Ohh...they drag it so long, you'd think, it's finally over, this won't be one of TVB's rushed endings, right? Oh...no...you see the MOST RUSHED ENDING EVER! Quickly, the shopping business is back up again, quickly, it's 5 years, quickly, Charmaine comes back and changes her mind, quickly, Belinda could walk again...I could say even more, "quickly" in this ending. I could spend even more time complaining about this TERRIBLE series! I give this a 1 and that's already lenient!

So...maybe I was harsh, you'd think it's good...lol Also, we didn't finish watching Seed of Hope...it was also way too boring. OMG...TVB series nowadays are definitely not amusing me. I'm better off reading fanfics when the writers write better storylines! Geez...

Okay, and one more thing...I'm age 13, it's my last year in middle school. I LOVE Annie Man, and I don't know who my favorite actor is...lol, it'd be funny if I said Paul Chun, but he's a great actor. Better than Damian Lau, Adam Cheng, and all those other respectful actors. But anyway, I gotta sleep now...night!

Both cussieB and I are considering about starting a contest at Anniemania for Annie's fan. So far our basic criterias are that the fic must have Annie as the main lead, it must be completed upon submittion, there is no limit in number of chapters or theme, you can enter as much completed fanfics as you like, and deadline will be about two months from now. Readers will be the judge, since they will be the one who vote on their top three favorite fanfics. Writer could also vote on their top three favorites fic, but they can't vote for themselves. Everyone can only vote once. We'll add up the point of all voters and the top three fics with the most point will win first, second, and third place and will recieve prizes. Prizes will probably be Annie's stuff. So far everything is very sketchy and nothing is confirm.

The main purpose of this thread is to get idea from you all and see what we need to change or add to make the contest more enjoyable. Give us idea on "afforable" prizes for the contest that you guy would be interested in winning. Give us idea on when you think we should set the deadline. Should we have limit on number of chapters? Or limit on fic theme? Could incomplete work be able to get submitted or only on completed work? Should we let writers submit work themselves or allow readers to nominate?

Most importantly, we need to know how many of you are willing to participate in this contest, since there is no point in setting up a contest when there is less than ten fanfics submitted. So if you will please reply to this post and let us know if you fall under these cataglory, it'll be a great help to us:

a) you are an writer and will joint this contest.

b ) you are a reader and will joint with the voting part of the contest.

c) you are both a writer and reader, who will joint and also vote on the contest.

d) you don't want to join the contest cause of conflict in interest.

Hm...this is a comedy series, (most likely because of the bangs) so Annie isn't much of a villain in here. I wish she could really act is a true villain..rather than some jerk, seems like any first time actress (though not as good as Annie) could do. I think I'll get to watch it this year...just gotta wait for it to come out in tapes..and for it to actually be sent here. Heh.

Basically, I love her with anyone she has worked with (cept I like her with Louis too) because she looks good with anyone (well not anyone but yeah =P).

Hello!!! I wonder where everyone is? Well, it's not just Annie's thread that's quiet but most of the others are too.

At first I thought Annie looked kind of weird with the bangs in the upcoming series but after seeing severals pictures of her I got used to it.

Yup, Annie looks good with most of her costars. But I think she matches best with Benny Chan, 2nd would be Julian Cheung, and lastly Kevin Cheng. Yeah, I would also like to see her paired up with Louis Koo too. I bet they would look really cute together .

Why am I not suprised to hear that Charmaine hasn't improved . I don't understand why people are praising her on her improvements. Before she used to be bad at acting and then she improved to so-so but so far she hasn't even improved beyond that level. So why are people saying she is a good actress? PONR doesn't seem like an interesting series, I'm kind of glad I decided not to watch it. Charmaine always stars in those types of roles. This is the 3rd time they have paired Julian and Charmaine together and I don't think they make a good couple at all. I used to think Charmaine was okay but I'm starting to find her annoying. She might even go on my dislike list sometime too. She's everywhere, on the news, in series, etc, etc. it's getting sickening. They should definately promote Annie more instead, she is way more talented than Charmaine.

I watched the first two episodes of Seed of Hope and gosh it was so boring, I almost fell asleep. I'm finding TVB series uninteresting nowadays too. The new upcoming series don't look very interesting either. I only saw Annie in one series in the programme highlights for 2004, the one with Amy, that's it. I hope to see her in more series with more significant roles.

Is it just me, or is Annie in fewer and fewer serials these days? I hear she will be in an ancient costume drama with Sunny Chan. Anybody know whether this is a wuxia drama or a period drama? I hope Annie will be the lead female, but chances are, she will end up being second lead. TVB sucks. And I bet TVB will never put Annie back together with Gilbert Lam. Yea, TVB sucks.
