Just found out that they had changed the titles of the upcoming TVB series. "Passion of the Black Forest" will be referred to as "The Gateau Affairs" and "One Beautiful Spear" will be called "Strike at Heart." I don't get why they decided to change the titles. I prefer the old titles more.

Good to hear. I'm relieved they changed the title. Gateau is French for cake, if I'm not wrong. So it's The Cake Affairs then. Definitely better sounding than God of Pastry and Passion of the Black Forest.

Yes, gateau does mean cake in French. Actually I like that title better than Passion of the Black Forest and God of Pastry. It makes the series sound very unique. But I don't quite like "Strike at Heart" I prefer "One Beautiful Spear" more.

I agree velvet_ice Annie, looks very radiant in the picture with Sammul. She is always so photogenic.

The China National Diving Team signed a sponsorship deal with a brand name yesterday and the official deal was completed in a ceremony held at Zhongshan yesterday, with evening dining and entertainment afterwards. The three spokespersons for the brand Alice Chan, Annie Man and Candy Lo were also present. When Annie found out that Alice had her photo taken with Xiong Ni, she was very envious, so she made the most of her opportunity to have her photo taken with Hu Jia and wearing a low cut top, she was very eyecatching and she was so excited that she started giggling. As for Candy, she was appearing despite being ill and after the ceremony, she went to her room to take some medicine and did not take part in the evening event. When she found out that Alice and Annie were able to pose with the divers, she was full of regrets. She said that she really admires Xiong Ni's diving talents and says that his cool exterior is very stylish.

Talking of Annie's beauty shining out, Candy later bumped into her and joked: "Wow! So amazing!", to which Annie replied: "Nothing compared to your 'centre door opening' at the Golden Horse awards!". Candy later explained that her outfit on that night was in line with the occasion and not to steal the limelight.

I agree with you botan. TVB should put in some more categories so that more artists have chances at winning. I don't like the fact that Annie is in the most improved category since she has already proven her talent and its obvious that she is very good. Yet I did want for her to win

I'm excited to hear she is looking around for more areas to go into. Though I will miss knowing she is with TVB I dont' mind since though she is/was with them it didn't seem like so!! It seemed as if she just dissappeared with TVB after a while Mainland series have begun to get better and I'm enjoying them. I think she will get treated better there and I hope for her best

The new series of US production "Without A Trace" will begin airing on TVB Pearl this week and it tells of cases dealt with by the Missing Persons Unit. At the end of each episode there will be a special broadcast in conjunction with the Hong Kong Police about local missing persons cases entitled "MPU" and to mark the event, a press conference was held yesterday, attended by representatives from the police and artistes Sammul Chan and Annie Man.

Having just finished filming "Courageous Kunlun", Sammul has been busy recording the theme tune for it and he is very happy at the chance to sing for it. As for why he has still not released an album after signing for a record company for so long, he says: "I hope that it will be released next Easter or Summer. I have been busy filming non-stop recently and originally I was to start on another series in December, but as I have not been able to rest since my accident and I am losing my memory, I am feeling very tired, so I turned down the series and will be taking a break in the hope that I can get some herbal and accupuncture treatment."

Talking of there being many other singers in Universal and having recently signed Eason Chan, is he worried that his album will be postponed indefinitely? Sammul says confidently: "It has no relevance, different people have different market and I have the TV market to help me."

Annie's contract with her management company has expired and she has decided not to renew and is currently looking for a new manager or maybe sign for a mainland company because she has heard that next year, the rules about Hong Kong artistes working there will be relaxed and she hopes to make more money there.

Also, she has recently made an ad for a skincare product and as she has a line to speak in it: "My skin is as beautiful as getting married!", then it led to many people mistaking her as already married and even some good friends and colleagues have asked her, bringing her much bemusement. Annie laughs helplessly: "I have already explained over five times and I really regret saying that line now." In reality, will she get married in secret? She says there is a chance because she is afraid of hassle and she might even get married on holiday, but she will tell her friends and family first.

I agree, Annie still looks very young. Despite her plain costume and hair, I think she looks very pretty. It's too bad that she only gets a small role in SAH. Sunny and her look very cute together.

I thought Annie was very funny in Colorful Life too. She was the only reason why I watched that series.

You are welcome ! Yes, 10 years is a very longtime but it seems common in HK for artists to have long term relationships. Yeah, I don't understand why TVB doesn't bother to promote her either. I really hope to see her in more series.
