i think Annie Man is a good actress. why is it that all tvb stars are leaving for mainland? anyways, i cant believe how assertive she is in The Gatteau Affairs and then nice and sweet in Strike at Heart. and she is quite pretty too.

Yeah, let's still try to keep this thread alive.Originally Posted by yogurtpo3
I agree, she was very cute in Colorful Life. She's great in comical roles. In Take My Word For It, I thought she was okay, it wasn't her best performance. I thought Julian and her looked really cute together though but too bad their relationship was rushed and not developed well.
Yeah, quite a number of HK actors/actresses are filming Mainland series these days. I guess it's because they want get more opportunities and exposure.Originally Posted by moonlight*melody
Yeah, their relationship was sooo rushed at the end, it was sooo disappointing!! Though, I couldn't help but think that Annie deserved better after everything Julian and Eleesmere put her through! Gosh, it was like she was a prize being passed around, and then discarded whenever they felt like it! I loved the beginnings of "Take My Word For It" though...when they are in Cadet school, and then with everything that happened with Ah Cun (the crazy guy). One of my favourite scenes is when Annie and Julian are trying to convince Ah Cun that they are dating, and then Ah Cun tells them to kiss!! The expression on Annie's face as she shuts her eyes tightly and presses her lips together is priceless!!!
In Colourful Life, Dun Chu just stole my heart! She was soooo cute, and such a innocent person...especially within the scheming family! kehehhee...
I also loved her and Frankie together! They have such good chemistry! It's too bad that they never worked together agian after that series...
Annie going to mainland is a sad thing for many of her HK audiences, but I'm okay towards it...as long as she is still filming. Plus, Mainland series come out on DVD faster, and is cheaper to buy than TVB series! hahahaha...
So being someone who can't really access TVB series, it's all very good for me! lolz...
One day, I do hope that Annie can be in a good Mainland series...with Vicki Zhao, Lu Yi and Chen Kun...kehehehhe (yeah yeah, I'm dreaming now...) ^^
smile!^_^
...and if you felt happy for that small second, wasn't it worth it!
plus TVB's salary is very stingy.Originally Posted by botan

I agree, I didn't like the way Julian and Ellesmere treated her. Same here, I thought the beginning parts were really fun to watch.Originally Posted by yogurtpo3
Yeah, Annie's character in Colorful Life was really cute but I didn't really like that series too much. I ended up only watching the parts with Annie and fastforwarded the rest.Originally Posted by yogurtpo3

That is true, their salaries are higher when they act in Mainland and Taiwan series.Originally Posted by tennisrocks
Oh yeah, her voice would be dubbed over. That's too bad. I like to hear the actors/actresses real voices. Unless Annie tries to improve her Mandarin.only down part about the mainland series is that you'll never get to hear her real voice again.
Yeah, that is a down side I guess...though if you bought the cantonese version of the series, I wonder if her voice will still get to stay Annie's voice!
Well, her first series Dragon's Inn is with Chi Lam, and is by a HK production team, so probably will still be in her voice right?
kehehhehe...
I hope Annie still gets to be in modern series even after moving to mainland. Mainland seems to come up with not a lot of modern series...
So, what is everyone's favourite works of Annie?
For me, I started liking her a lot after Colourful Life, and then again after Greed Mask...^^ Colourful Life was an entertaining series I though, probably one of my favourite..hehe, but for the main character, Annie sure didn't get a hell of a lot of screen time!![]()
As fro Greed Mask, Tong Tong was sooooo innocent and cute! And I LOVED the chemistry Annie had with Roger, despite the age difference! I hated the ending though...>.< Christine was toooooo old for Roger!! And him and Annie were so much more naturally happy together! And when they signed to each other, it was so cute!
And I remember when Roger found out the truth about his family background, and was depressed, and at the time, Annie was the one who knew where he would be, and she was the one who was able to go and cheer him up! She DOES understand her cousin more than Ah San does, and just because she had that wierd "knowing" that he was still on the building doesn't really prove otherwise!

I favorite Annie role would have to be 'Yang Paifong' when she played the maid of the Yang family. The one with Amy Chan/Gilbert Lam Wai Sun
That was the frist series i saw her in ( I think) and i really liked her. But my favorite character of her would be in Colourful Life. I think she and Frankie had good chemistry.

Besides Colorful Life, I also like Annie in Legendary Four Aces. It was my very first time (LFA) seeing Annie in TVB and instantly I liked her already. Of all her series, I liked her best in Colorful Life...she is so cute and witty in this series. I prefer her in ancient series over modern. She was beautiful in Whatever It Takes and Strike At Heart.Originally Posted by yogurtpo3

Legendary Four Aces? Is that the one with Bobby, Nick Cheung, Margo Ngai, and Gordam Lam?If it is, I really like that series too. Who did she end up with? was it Marco?

well i miss her on the screen....she does seems to act much in TVB recently
Yes, Annie played as Bobby's sister. At first she likes Nick Cheung but he doesn't likes her and treated her like his little sister. But she ended up with Marco. I like all her scenes with Marco in this series. It is hilarious especially when Annie was about to take a bath.Originally Posted by Kay_Thi

Is that after her role in Gatteau Affair and To Love without Regrets?Originally Posted by bubcas

It should be after Gatteau Affairs.

Yeps, Pillowcase of Mystery is her last series with TVB...unfortunately, she had a very very small role as one of Bobby's wives...even though she was the cutest wife! hehehehhe...^^

Is she in the new Taiwanese series Silence as Vic's secretary?
