Yup. I love that scene, too! Gilbert's character was so cold and ruthless that I didn't think it was possible for him to love someone so much. You could really tell that he truly loved Annie. He was willing to give up his chance of finding the treasure and restoring his fallen dynasty so that she would be safe. I agree totally with what you all have said. I like all the parts where Annie and Gilbert are in the underground palace coz this was where they start to develop feelings for each other. Throughout Part 1, Gilbert is a manipulative guy who doesn't care much for others but Annie's appearance, the care and concern she showers upon him, her kindness, all touch Gilbert's heart. For once, Gilbert find himself caring for and liking someone. He even feels a need to protect her, as evidenced by the fact that he follows her secretly to the Yang Camp, knowing that her life might be in danger during the journey.

I am not sure if you all remember this..but there was this part, where Gilbert purposely puts some buns on the rock for Annie to eat, though he didn't say any thing. But Annie merely cast a backward glance at him and left. Then at night, we see Annie, barbueing (?) some food, but she didn't eat them. She merely steals a backward glance at Gilbert and then left. I don't know why but I have always felt this as an example of their mutual care and understanding though this was shown in a very subtle manner.

Linsey has suggested a scrapbook from us, fans, to Annie. This is a good way for us to show Annie our supports and for Annie to get to know us, especially the overseas fans.

You can have up to 2 sheets of 8.5 x 11 papers and you can used both sides (so 4 pages max). Write, draw, paste whatever you want. You can write a poem for Annie, or you can write a letter, you can tell Annie something about yourself, you can put pictures there...pretty much anything.

When you are done, send it to Linsey. She will put them together and send it to TVB's Talent Department, and have them send the scrapbook to Annie.

If you would like to participate please email Linsey at [email protected] by this Sunday 21 Feb.

The deadline will be around April or May. This will be comfirmed later. There will be some more guidelines and informations. They will be post at AnnieMania.

Hi everyone! <IMG SRC="smilies/wave.gif" border="0"> I read in the other Annie Man thread here (the old one) that Annie will be leaving TVB because it has been neglecting her. Is that true or is it just a circulating rumor? Can anybody confirm this news? And if Annie is really leaving, is she planning to return to ATV?

Mel I heard the news going around awhile ago and I'm still not sure if it is true. I hope she stays with TVB though cause many of her good co stars have jumped over there and she'll be lonly at ATV. But she can always get reacquited with the others.
