    Post Too much superstars/idol programmes?

Recently there are a lot of superstars/ idol programmes such as singarpore idol, project superstar, campus superstar, super host, super band, star idol...

Honestly i am getting a little sick about all this stuff...i know it is fresh and new when it started, and gives all the young people chances to show their talents. But now i getting quite sick with all this sudden, rapid superstars/idol programmes...

u all find that really so interesting?I don't know...some people also tell me then were really fed up with all this programmes...

The idol competitions are nice, if they come out only once at a time, i don't really like super host and star idol though, prefer campus and project superstar.

I don't find all these whatever idol programmes nice at all. Project Superstar was entertaining for a while, but it got stale soon enough. It's very sickening how the folks behind project superstar are milking all those little wannabe starlets dry for what they're worth. From Cds to Karoke discs to variety shows, they are everywhere. Ugh.

Agreed, they're over advertising them, thus their value seems to be dropping greatly.

In another couple of months, probably nobody will remember who those wannabe starlets from Project Superstar are. I just wonder how popular the final four will be when they finally release their album. They will probably crash and burn like that Sylvester Sim from Singapore Idol... hah, what happen to his big plans about tackling the Taiwanese market??

ok...let's see all those programmes timeslot...(Estimated)

NOW- SUPER HOST AND STAR IDOL
JANUARY- CAMPUS SUPERSTAR,SUPER HOST AND STAR IDOL
    FEBRUARY- SUPERBAND, CAMPUS SUPERSTAR
    MARCH- SINGAPORE IDOL 2006,SUPER BAND
    APRIL- SINGARPORE IDOL 2006
MAY-???(singapore idol may be still going on)
JUNE to AUGUST- PROJECT SUPERSTAR 2006

I think all these will last us more than half a year...i hope they will stopped from there( PLEASE!!!)...i reckon there will be more SUPERSTARS programmes, looking at the number of people who went to all those registrations and auditions( i heard there are more than 4000 students who turned up for the campus superstar audition)All the producers may think they are HOT HOT stuff but they will drop the programmes values as they becomes increasingly common.

At first i tot Singapore Idol was not bad... then came Project Superstar. I accept it since i tot if there's an english singing competition, it will soon have a mandarin version one. Next we see the Anugerah and Vasentham (not sure if i spelt correctly). So it's still ok.... until Ming Xing Ou Xiang, then Super Host, and Xiao Yuan Superstar. Next year will be next batch of Project Superstar and Singapore Idol.... aarrrggghhh i'm getting bored of watching them. Hmm... so i decided not to watch them..

The only reason why they put out so many shows is thanks to the commercial value, maybe us here do not like them but there are many others spending Daddy and Mummy's hard earned cash on supporting a total stranger who does not even know of their existence.

It's okay to cast one or two votes to support an idol, to let him/her have a chance to rise to stardom, yea but fanatically calling the hotlines is indeed a waste of money.

    There's so many of them it gets overwhelming. It's quite 'argh not again'. x___X;

Mediacorp should come up with new ideas instead of trying to milk in from an overused formula.

I never ever watched any of those stupid superstar shows. But my sister watches it, so sometimes I can hear their singing and stuff.

If there's something that MC is known for, it's definitely not creativity. Seems like they like to milk a certain formula dry before moving on (read: family oriented drama series).

I wouldn't want to watch all TVB dramas, sure they are nice but I do think MCS is capable of producing better dramas. I used to follow the drama series like crazy in the past when they were of some standard, somehow the standard has dropped drastically in recent years.

As for superstars/idols programmes, I am alright with them as long as they do not overdo it. Currently there are three in running, and there's another Superband coming up. Ugh, I am dying of overdose!!!
