omg, I've seen him before...I think in a serial that had something to do with a "Hua Gu [something something]" (..flower drum?). I didn't particulary like him in that series, and so I didn't pursue information on Aloys. But I like him in modern clothing now.

yeah its "ming yang hua gu" , he looked strange in that series, imo....but Zeng Baoyi was hilarious in that show. i like how she bickers with everyone

I read the novel which the movie, "the door" was based on...technically it isn't in the horror genre...but there are elements of the supernatural in it...it is more like people scheming and scaring one another. CK's character is actually a amoral cad, he stole a huge sum of money from his childhood friend and fled, leaving behind his girlfriend without saying anything. but he spent the rest of the novel being scared to death and slowly turning crazy

About the website, yeah its best to set it up at your own pace...my support ain't worth much actually, its not financial or anything but if you need a particular info. i can certainly direct you to the chinese source.

From what i gather,
this month he will embark on a publicity tour of several cities to promote "the door". after which, he will take a long break, the first in a few years. and then, tentatively, his new movie which will take 6-8 months. i believe it is a film about a mermaid, played by Zeng Li. Zhang Ziyi refused the role if i'm not wrong....

I read the early feedback at ichenkun from those who had watched it. Seems like the movie differs quite a bit from the novel. The film is more about perception of what is real and what isn't in the mind of the main character played by CK. Hoping to watch it when I get the chance. will post pics of the various premieres next time.
