I read the headline of her going to jail this morning, and I laughed.

Talk about bad publicity. If she want to be a celebrity this way, lots of other teens and young adults can follow suit easier than getting a contract deal to be an actor or singer.

One of the few actresses in Hollywood who did not need reality TV or personal drama to become famous and she screws herself completely over.

Why all the young actors turn out like this when they grown up? Is there any child actor than turn out alright? What is Haley Joel Osment doing now?

All these celebrities think they are above the law and can do whatever they want, I glad that they their actions have deadly consequences like ordinary people. It makes me laugh when I see them suffer for their stupidity.

Aw. In truth, I kind of feel bad for her because I think her parents failed her. I was once admitted to be a Lindsay Lohan fan, pre cocaine, in my college lecture class. Man you wouldn't believe the amount of eye rolling in the room! I thought she was once a pretty good actress and naturally stunning.

I really hope that she manages to clean herself up at last. Maybe jail will prove to be good for her. You never know?

She was. I understand your points because I too felt kind of sorry for Britney Spears. But there's only so much responsibility the parents can take. Afterall this is her life, not her parents', so she needs to be able to think well about what she's been doing. She is now an adult, old enough for self-responsibility to be applied.

Lindsay Lohan 'fell apart' after parents' divorce

Lindsay Lohan's father Michael thinks the actress' personal problems stem from his split from her mother Dina in 2005.
Lindsay Lohan's father blames his marriage split for her personal problems.

The troubled actress - who is currently receiving rehabilitation treatment at the UCLA Medical Center as part of her sentence for breaching the terms of her probation set for a 007 driving under the influence conviction - 'fell apart' after witnessing the collapse of Michael and Dina Lohan's relationship and no longer knew who to trust.

Michael - who has four children with Dina - said: 'When her mother, Dina, and I broke up in 2005 it all fell apart for Lindsay.

'Lindsay was in so much pain. She was subjected to making decisions over who she should trust - her mum or her dad. It tore Lindsay up inside. When she had her family together, she had it all together. When she didn't have her family, it all fell apart.'

Michael also blames Dina for pushing the 'Mean Girls' star into the Los Angeles party scene and encouraging her out-of-control behaviour.

He told Fabulous magazine: 'Dina was living vicariously through Lindsay. Lindsay ended up around all the wrong people and they were there for all the wrong reasons. It was like she didn't know who to trust any more.'

However, Michael - who has repeatedly insisted Lindsay is addicted to prescription drugs - is hopeful that her stint in rehab will finally get the 24-year-old star's life back on track.

He added: 'Things are getting better. They are turning around right now. She has made a lot of progress.

'All I care about is Lindsay having her life back. It's what any child of divorce needs. Lindsay needs to be off the drugs and to have both her parents there for her.'

Actually, it's not just that...or it might not even be that at all. One problem California has had to contend with for years is that its jails and prisons are grossly overcrowded (and have become more so since the state adopted the "Three Strikes" policy back during the 1990s). To accommodate more serious offenders, pretty much anybody short of a serial murderer or rapist will be released early simply to make room in the prisons.

I don't think she's so stupid she fail to recognise therapy/rehab is needed. However her attitude has shown what she thinks about that. If she doesn't want to help herself, nobody can.
