Sammul Chan

Yep. Sammul Chan is leaving TVB to try making it in Mainland. He said in an interview that it's because TVB actors are 'lumped' together under one manager. Like there is no 'one actor, one manager' business in TVB and he feels that because of that sometimes actors are 'neglected' (I guess he's talking about himself here). Like for example, the careers of Bosco Wong, Raymond Lam, Kevin Cheng and Ron Ng are all under the supervision of one TVB executive (forgot her name...).

Sammul also said that TVB isn't "giving him what he wants/is looking for" at this point in his career.

Joyce Tang is also leaving TVB to Mainland for the same reason I think.

i didnt think much of Sammul Chan but after watching The Academy i find him to be a good actor. plus he's really cute - especially when he smiles =P too bad he is leaving tvb

i really liked sammul in when rules turn loose and bar benders. he was so cute in those two series. In when rules turn loose, his character was so sweet! And in bar benders, loved how used to keep braking ppl's glasses!

Yep. There's an article at Jayne Stars with a picture of the four of them (Kevin, Ray, Bosco, and Ron) eating with their manager. It's freaking hilarious because these four are the current TVB male stars (Ray being the undisputed Prince of TVB) and yet they're all under the thumb of one powerful woman... imagine how much she's making!

Anyone know if Sammul Chan had released a song called "New Friend (Xing Peng You)" before? I found the song at a site, but i'm not sure if it's really Sammul singing it. I downloaded it n listened to it a dozen times n it sounds like him...

I dont think he's released any album before. He's got many songs out? Cool...i never knew..apart from this song n the Guts Of Man opening theme. Anyone has the list of Sammul's songs? I cant wait to get my ahnds on them. His voice sounds a bit like Raymond!

You're able to download that? I find it hard to search for download links of sammul's songs. All i could find after a few weeks of seraching is the "New best friend" song.

I'm liking Sammul more and more. Too bad he's not under TVB management anymore.
I hope he will still have a good relationship with TVB and have more opportunity to film more series with them.

Actually, I don't mind not seeing him in TVB series if I get to see him somewhere else. But so far, I only know he will be in The Academy 2, a small role in the new CLX series and Price of Greed. After that no more liao.

I will certainly watch Price of Greed and The Academy 2, but the new CLX series looks bad and Sammul only has a minor role. So, I'm relunctant to see it.

Just rent the episodes of CLX that features Sammul. I'm planning on doing that
