hey guys I just finish watching the latest K100 via my Chinese TV station...The rating for Golden Faith isnt that good though the drama is in 3rd Place... 2nd belongs to Virtue of Harmony and 1st belongs "Dad with her 4 girls" sorry forgot the title... Can you believe this ?

I'd poll for Family Man any day because it is so much easier to watch and by far more enjoyable than GF - sorry GF fans, just MHO.

I think the people in HK are under so much stress already they'd rather watch a light-hearted comedy than something as deep as GF. Plus GF is on a lot later in the evening so less of a family round the dinner table show I guess.

I reckon GF will kick cos it has more depth to the story. and Famaly man is just all same ending with all other tvb series. I mean which tvb series can you think of that a couple would'nt get married at the end of the show. Most 20 episodes series does

I agree also... with big problem in HongKong and the late time airing on T.V, I guess this make GF getting low rating...

What bothers me the most about this ultralongsuperbudget series, is that the characters are all out of reach.
They are always about super rich families having super rich problems.

The reason why FM or any other comedy could get a better rating, is because it's so close to reality. (OK, maybe reality is not as insane <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> ) but people can identify themselves with those characters.

"What? not enough money to buy that game at the end of the month? Done that"
"Huh? Falling in love with that girl you see everyday in the metro? Been there too"

If you can identify yourself with a serie, it'd just be more enjoyable.

I would say it's the timing problem. 9:30 pm show is way too late.

I loved the ending was so happy with it. The family was hilarious asking Gallen all those questions. I'm going to miss this show, as much as Ivan annoyed me at times being all self sacrificing and Oscar for his stupidity but then when I think about the sweet scenes between Jessica and Gallen and the fabulous acting of Myolie I will definitely miss it. I wish that TVB would produce more of these modern long series.

GF landed a whopping rating of 37 on average and it's highest was 43, beating LE's highest 42. It's an extremely late response from HK viewers but better than nothing. Congrats to the cast.

Whoa, 43 points? that's better than most series that tvb aired.

GF is the highest so far for a per eps. rating in this year. Very happy that it beat out all the series' rating for this year especially the average ratings, except until TVB finish airing MK and TMWFI. Hope GF stays on top of the chart, if not, GF will be always remember as a serie that has a best comeback for their last week of airing because they started out with a 28 or 29pts. average on the first week and now is a 37pts. average rating. This will be always remembered!!

I don't think having golden faith at 9.30 is too late I mean if the series is really that great then people would tape it before they sleep or what ever. They know the rating by people tuning yup to the channel where the show is on.

Oh Yeah! 43 for rating that is the highest for this year I guess. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> GF rule... but I wish they would get also high rating like 50 that is hold by "War of the Genders" an unforgettable long comedy serie by Dodo Cheng

oh and that Paul Chun yup he very popular by always doing rich man, but thank god his in the good side but in "Family Man" he really did great it remind me of "The Moment of Endearment" starring Nick Cheung & Miriam Yeung 3years ago "I think" , where he(PauL) plays Miriam dad, also act very great both serie are look a like "FM" and "MOE"...

GF overall rating is nothing to praise about ... it is still beneath other normal productions such as Legal Entanglement, Family Man and a few others. Only the last week's average rating was good (37 avg. 43 highest peek). The opening average was mid 20's - very bad !!!

Overall, it ranked around 6th this year.

Timing problem? Not really, Virtues of Harmony's slot was even later than that of Golden Faith and yet the series has had a steady increase over GF.

GF was the serie that played late it start at 9:35pm tp 10:35pm which is late for the majority of the viewer and Family Man airs at 8.00pm to 9:00pm -&gt; (Best time) and finally Virtues of Harmony it air at 9:00pm to 9:30pm
