Although I love and crazy about this drama, I do agree with you that it is not necessary to have the second series. It is wrapped up quite decently, as you said, that I don't want to see any wired development in the second series.

OMG, goong is such a great drama ( i say this all the time...well these drama is gettin better). I luv Kim Jeong Hoon in here, he soooo cute he should be the main actor but oh well. Hey, i don't if any one actually talks about season 2 but i want to know why is there a season 2. Anyone know the plot for season 2 i'm really curious. Is Yul still after Chaeyoung? Hmm...

I disagree. There should be a sequel, because
-Shin & Chaegyung were always fighting and making up until late in the series
^In saying so, there should be more chemistry and romance between them
-I would like to see more couples in Goong (It'd be interesting to see Chaegyung's friend with glasses and one of Shin's friends)
-The most important thing is that the drama left us on a cliffhanger in the end. I myself, would personally like to know exactly how Chaegyung became pregnant (yes, it may be obvious, but it's not very clear yet, and there's no apparent conclusion), and also what will become of Yul and his mother.

Erm if you're from S'pore, you can get them from Comics connection or from Kino. I would recommend Kino as the price is cheaper there. =)

Although I've not finished the series yet (argh the part II's not out yet!) but from what I hear around here, the series isn't really much completed. Neither is the manhwa. Futhermore, the relationship between Chaegyung and Shin hasn't really developed much yet, as in...yea they like each other and all, but its still not quite there yet. So, I really hope that season two will pick off where season one left it hanging and continue to develop the plot. Plus, I want to see Yul have his 'tree' growing in his heart! Poor Yul...>.<

Having said that, let's just keep our fingers crosses and pray hard that Goong 2 will not end up like MG2. PLEASE!!!! Otherwise, it'll not be a continuation of a fairytale but rather a destruction of a beautiful story.

Have you noticed that in one of the episodes, one of Chaegyung's friends commented on how 'cute' one of Shin's friend was, when they were filmed together spinning the hoops around their waist? Perhaps we'll see Chaegyung's friends and Shin's friends together in Goong 2. How exciting!

... its just moving too slow. the characters are developed well, but 14+ hours into watching this and the story is just flat, hasnt got better...

I do agree with you that Goong still can't avoid the traditional problem of K-drama - dragging the storyline. As I mentioned, the relationships between the characters remain unresolved for too long, especially from episode 20 thereafter. I think it's because the production team decided to add few more episodes for the good ratings, otherwise, I think the drama could have been wrapped up nicely in 18 - 20 episodes.

Having said that, I still think Goong is a very good drama. To see other comments:

yeah, hopefully season 2 all the friends end up together too. hmm...wonder is hyorin gonna be back if she does, will it be bad or good. the other guy (shin friend) really liked her, hope she goes for him.

I watched Goong a while ago and I must say, the Manhwa is just as impressive as the K-drama was. The sequel is much anticipated.

the company emailed me that the second volume of VCD (ep 13-24) will be released by end of July

DVD version should be available by mid August 2006

DVD is in Taiwanese Mandarin/Korean and has Chinese & English subtitles

Princess Hours (Gong) was originally shot in HD (High Definition) video hence
the format is 16:9

The OST does not belong to our company so we are not releasing it

Like other board members have previously discussed, no one is sure what season 2 is going to be about yet. There will probably be more info when it gets close to the filming and production of the 2nd season.
