Of course its better than Devil Beside You. Theres so many elements like Royal history, political image, interesting characters, romance, korean culture, interesting fashion, angst, comedy, rivalry, and vengeance in this drama. The storyline is hardly similiar to Devil Beside You.

Agrees!! Goong is surely more interesting than Devil Besides You, the settings & hanboks featured in the show is worth watchingas well.

the ending left with a question mark? which is, is CG really pregnant? though there's a few photo shots of pics of Shin n CG with a baby.. if the princess becomes the Queen, then Shin position is no longer a crown prince?
Well, if there's a season 2, I hope it will be a continuation of Shin n CG.. and not forgetting Yul.. must find him a real good girlfriend... looking forward to season 2..

As for Shin being the crown prince...he should still be even though his sister has become the ruler. The crown prince is the successor to the throne and since the current ruler (his sister) is still unwedded (I suppose), hence without any heirs, the next direct successor to the throne should therefore be her brother, Shin. But then again, I have heard that Shin gave it up? Since I haven't finished watching the show, don't know if it's true.

And yes, I think Yul should find happiness in Goong 2 too, as long as the girl is someone else since CG is for Shin

hmmm....Shin might have given up the throne to his sister but couldn't he continue to be the crown prince and be the next successor? After all, his sister doesn't seem to be married (nor is there any sign of her having kids yet) hence he is still the next in line to the throne.

There're two ways looking at the photos and the significance of the teddybears - either she's really pregnant at the point of their church wedding (and the top question will be when did they consummate their wedding??) or the photo and the teddybears is an indication of the future, probably a couple years later.

Guess we have to wait till season II to learn the truth.

hopefully season 2 will be able to clarify if Shin will still be a crown prince.. read somewhere that in season 2 Shin & Cg will continue their life out of palace.. don't know whether is it true..

I'm really excited to know that there are many of us who love the show. From what I read in the soompi forum, the next season of Goong will have the same cast. But, this might not be confirmed yet due to the actors and actresses' schedule. As for the plot for season 2, it might not be a continual of the first season, but a completely different story line. It will possibly be a reversal of the roles. CY will now be royal while Shin is the normal student.
This is what I have heard, so correct me if I'm wrong

I too laugh at that. There are quite a few funny scenes in the show, like the part where Shin was bathing and CG was trying not to notice his royal nakedness, hahaha
