A special edition program will be aired about the MBC drama "Palace 2" leads SE7EN (Choi Dong Wook), Heo Lee Jae, Park Shin Hye and Kang Du.

On November 4, at 5:40 pm, an MBC Autumn Special program entitled "Great! MBC" will feature the "Palace 2" cast. It will be a talk show wherein the "Palace 2" cast will talk about their characters in the series, their thoughts about it etc.

Because of Se7en's overseas and 4th album activities, the 4 leads have not yet faced each other. It is in this special program that they will all meet each other for the first time.

It'd be much better if they didn't change the cast

Hmm, its okay that they change the cast. I'm just waiting on Se7en's appearance and wonder how that would be. I don't mind watching him for so many episodes.

Actually ... I would rather that there is no sequel...

With our expectations pushed to the skies by the first serial, the sequel already faces a huge challenge in satisfying the audience. Besides the high benchmark, the sequel's storyline is also constrainted by events of the first serial, making it difficult to weave a unique story. Creativity may be substituted by perceived "success formulas" in hopes to replicate the first serial's success. But with all that said, I would LOVE a sequel, but at the same time acknowledge my fear that any dissatisfaction towards the sequel may tarnish my impression of the first serial ...

So it's good to always set expectations low when watching new serials, and then be surprised and delighted when it outperforms expectations. But that's pretty hard to do, with the upcoming Prince Hours' implicit connections to Princess Hours. Hopefully, I will be surprised yet again ...

For Princess Hours, I am a Yul supporter. That doesn't mean that I must hate Shin (I pity the lonely crown prince as well) but I sympathize with Yul more (he already got lots of sympathy points for his pitiful background). For all their ordeals, at least Shin had Chaegyung by his side, while Yul had nothing. And while Shin could be remote, distant and sarcastic on occasions, Yul was always there, always kind, understanding and comforting. Guess things that are hard to get are the ones that we want the most ... Perhaps Yul would fare better if he tried to play hard to get and not be so "available" all the time ...

Mmmm .... Come to think of it, I always root for the same type of people. (For example: In Lovers in Paris, Yoon Soo Hyuk SOOO deserves to be with Tae Young.)

On November 20, Group Eight, the production unit of "Palace 2", announced that the title of the series is now "Palace S".

According to Group Eight, the reason why it was necessary to change the title was because the season 2 has new characters and new story and not just because of the copyright issues.

Group Eight expressed that the title has several meanings. "Palace S"'s "S" stands for new departure (Start), Special Story (Special), Original drama and new contents which makes it independent, spin-off (Spin-Off) and the secret that surrounded who will play the lead role - Se7en (Secret).

"Palace S" is planned to be broadcasted on January 10, 2007.

Default Main leads of Goong 2 interview

Main leads of Goong 2 interview
Main leads of Goong 2, I got casted without knowing
The main leads of MBC Drama Goong 2, which will be shown in january next yr, came together through the autumn special Great! MBC program.
Se7en, Heo yi jae, kang doo, park shin hye talked about their own characters and about filming.
Se7en: the character Lee Hoo is optimistic and lives by principles but also jokes around alot. It seems like this character suits me

Park Shin hye This is the 3rd time the 4 of us have met. It feels good that the four of us are communicating to each other well.

Se7en's first impression towards Park shin hye and Heo yi jea I first saw them on internet news and seeing them in real life is cool

Kang doo Before the news came out, i didnt konw who i would play against. I searched on the internet and found out.

Se7en I found out that i was in the drama only after i read the news. I saw the leads and thought Ah so that's how it's turned out to be! . When i read about the Lee hoo character, i thought Wow, that's me! he said laughing.

Great MBC will be shown on the 4th at 5:40pm

Alright! This is fan power for you...

I think in response to all this Goong sequel and spinoff controversy, news has it that the production company of the Goong series have decided to make a "TRUE SEQUEL"

    Read and enjoy/rant/whatever...

The True Sequel of Goong Season 1

Eight Peaks (production company of Goong), confirms that the true sequel of Goong season 1 will probably happen in the future! According to Eight Peaks, the original Manwha is still on-going. In fact, they just published the 14th volume (rumor said that the author wanted to end it in volume 12 or something). The production company wants to film the sequel, not the spin-off like the Goong S. In fact, they have already begin the preparations necessary for the sequel since two months ago. And according to the company, the true sequel will air in late 2007 or early 2008.

According to Choi, Kae-yung (one of the executives at the company), “To be quite truthful, Group Eight, the company who is in charge of Goong S, have expressed a strong desire to participate in the production of the sequel of Goong season 1,” he said, “but when the replacement of Eight Peaks staffs took place, we have not heard of anything regarding Goong from Group Eight at all. Since Group Eight is in a middle of producing their own individual drama, we want to stick to our original plan and produce the true sequel of Goong season 1″

He also added, “Eight Peaks owns all the right for Goong series. We also have been getting a lot of offer from foreign production companies for the chance to participate in producing the sequel.”

i don't think they'll have the exact same cast, for the leads at least. they're gonna have a whole different story, and this time its going to be prince hours (well, that's what they say at least on the other sites)--so it'll be focusing on a guy this time.
they've discussed this over the thread, you might want to read the earlier threads....
    thanks

I thought GOONG, GOONG S and possibly GOONG 2 have the same... director (or whatever might be the title of his position)... In that case, I don't understand why there is all this issue about legal rights...

Default Yoon Eun-hye Offered Role in Taiwanese Drama

Singer-turned-actress Yoon Eun-hye has been offered to play a leading role in the sports film “Dunk” to be produced in Taiwan.

Based on the Japanese manga “Slam Dunk,” the film will be produced with a budget of some 10 million US dollars, and Taiwan’s leading star Jay Chou has already been cast as the male lead.

The offer seems to have been extended to Yoon because of the popularity she enjoyed in Chinese-speaking nations as a member of the five-woman group Baby V.O.X and through “Princess Hours,” the MBC hit drama where she played a leading role.

In July, an AP report had said that pan-Asian star BoA would act in “Dunk,” but her agency denied the report, saying, “No offers have been made to us, so we do not know anything about it. If we receive an official offer, we will consider it.”

At first I thought the male leads in here look ahhh, so I didn't bother to borrow the DVD's from my friends. However, there was a time when I ran out of series to watch at home, I decided to borrow it, and I have made an excellent choice by doing that. I got hooked on to it soon after I watched the first episode. I nearly called in sick so that I can stay home to watch it. Yup, that's how terrible it was. I enjoyed this series a lot.

Lah, I am not the right person to answer your question since I am so confused myself...

    Goong = Princess Hours (finished)
Goong S = with Seven and Co. (filming)
Goong 2 = with old cast, ie. cast of original Goong (planned)

Wait...I thought Goong 2 will be with different casts from the original Goong? Isn't it?
