I have just finished watching Goong 1 and it's absolutely entertaining... someone warned that it was addictive. It really is. To think I delayed watching it because I thought..what the heck teeny bopper stuff...and used my busy end of the year time watching heaven's tree. (not the most satisfying drama)


They are so cute..including manipulative Taehu mama... except Hyurin...she's so stiff...may be they are trying to make her the contrast to the exuberant Chaegyung...

Anyway in the special programme Goong 1.5, they showed a lot of the backstage happenings...that was also funny. When the two main characters were asked if they were going to start dating, neither replied...

Off to rewatch a few fun episodes...

That would be something. Yul will finally be king like what he wanted. But I don't like his mom. she's too ambitious. But wouldn't she be a bit too old for him? Hmm, that wouldn't be bad, then the storyline could bring the royal couple back, where both would feel a bit uncomfortable of the idea, and cg could be a bit jealous because her and yul had such a good friendship. hmmm,....not bad at all.

Goong couple Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye have made a surprise meeting in 9 months.

The two met to record the introduction of 'completely precious male' and 'completely precious female' that have enhanced MBC dramas in 20006 in the coming '2006 MBC acting awards' on the 30th.

This recording occurred on the afternoon of the 18th in Namsan Seoul tower. Due to not having seen each other for a long time the two seemed awkward with each other at first, but soon regained their familiarity and showed their lively 'Goong' couple personalities.

Not only did Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye introduce the 'completely precious male' and 'completely precious female' characters in 2006 MBC dramas which were loved by the viewers, but they also summarised the beautiful love that these couples showed in the dramas.

The producers said that "Perhaps because of the popularity of 'Goong' the two during the recording at the Seoul tower received passionate cheers from overseas tourists" and spoke of the uncooling popularity.

As nominees for the best new actor/actress, most popular and best couple awards, Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye will both attend the 2006 MBC acting awards

Hahaha...He still looks very cute with long hair. He has such a cute and lovable personality offscreen. I like both Joo Ji Hoon and JWJ.

Although, Ji Hoon is still cute with long hair, I still want him to cut it short. He's already beautiful, having long hair just makes him too beautiful as a guy. Hahahah

i just did some research about this series, and i know that i'm really behind. but a lot of people said that they stopped wacthing the series at a certain episode. i'm just wondering it is going to be funny throughout the whole drama? just wondering, i do like to try this one out, though. but like i did millions of times, i would like to wait for opinions first.

I agree, it's personal preference. I found it touching in certain episodes especially when Shin poured out his heart to Bigung mama after the infamous interview. That was such a great piece of acting...

I'm surprised that people are saying how young they all are. I checked their websites, Shin is 24 and Yul is older, Hyorin is also older. BM is 22. Now Rain and Song HG are 24. So they are not really teeny boppers? May be they are new to acting...

CK is getting ready to leave the palace. Shin is still being investigated for the fire incident. Yul finds out about his mom and Shin's dad affair. Yul admits to being the one behind all the problem that has been happening to Shin and the palace. Shin turns down his dad's offer to become king and instead gave his sister the kingdom. Shin and grandma goes to Macu to visit CK. They get married again. CK throws up. She might be pregnant.

The official poster for MBC's drama, "Goong S", which Se7en stars in was released.

The concept of this latest poster is "in the imperial family where tradition is everything (is everywhere), the prince appears from a Chinese restaurant".

Because of this, their digity of the royalty explodes as the prince Se7en sits on the thrown. From the picture, it can be seen him wearing jeans and sneakers, with a headphone around his neck and a manga in his hands and a personality giving off the feeling of him having the liveliness and youthful enthusiasm of having 2007 in front of him.

Broadcasting starts on the 10th.

Those who hallyu know of what we speak. Soaps have been the latest tsunami in the South Korean pop culture wave, and searchers have been intimate with past telenovelas like "My Name is Kim Sam Soon," "Princess Lulu," "Winter Sonata" and "Jewel in the Palace."

Now, a year after after its original airing, TV dramedy "Princess Hours," based on the ongoing comic "Goong," has returned to swamp the Buzz, with enraptured fans in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago pushing the show into the top 350 searches. Lasting a mere 24 episodes, the drama reimagines a present in which royal line didn't end with Japanese colonization. Not everyone may be a fan, but most agree that the dramedy reeks of cutesy stars and big-budget glam opulence.

The show was made to appeal to Japanese audiences, according to Yonhap News, but "Princess Hours" has been a global phenom. DVD/VCD sales have blown past the quarter-million mark, even as it airs in wider Asian and American markets. With its availability in an American-compatible DVD format (a first for a Korean telenovela), English-speakers can now understand the Crown Prince's pain when he tells Chae-kyeong, "Watching you sit and ask for forgiveness there, it'd make me want to puke."

Anticipation and searches are already up for the sequel—another first for a Korean soap —called "Prince Hours." Meanwhile, some of us are just waiting for the MadTV spoof.

Although Se7en is hot with those luscious lips, I prefer Joo Ji Hoon. He seemed to have made a better prince. But who knows until this comes out. After that, will do some comparision then.


What is common between Se7en and Joo Ji Hoon? They are both Crown princes of MBC.

But the first Crown prince was Joo Ji Hoon. From January 11 to March 30 2006, Joo Ji Hoon played a Crown prince in the MBC drama "Palace" and caught women's hearts.

Joo Ji Hoon received a lot of criticisms because people taught he did not fit the role. However, as "Palace" started, such criticisms were erased. Joo was even given a "New Actor" award in the recently concluded MBC Drama Awards, proving that the Crown prince syndrome is still alive.

Joo Ji Hoon's Crown prince image is totally different with "Palace S"'s new Crown prince. Our new prince is the lucky guy Se7en, who plays the role of a Chinese restaurant delivery man who later learns that he is from the Royal family.

Se7en even cut short his 4th album activities so he can concentrate with the drama. The expectations of fans are only natural because this will be his first acting project.

"Palace S" starts airing on January 10 at 9:55 pm. It will be fun comparing the refined Crown prince Joo Ji Hoon with the raw Crown prince Se7en in this funny drama.
